I was quoted a price for 5 hours, with 3 workers and a truck. On the day of the move, only 2 workers showed up. They were adamant they will still be able to get the job done, but ended up taking over 8 hours to complete the move. I even ended up helping the two movers unload the truck (basically half of the service I paid for..), otherwise it would have taken at least another hour or two. Then, Bellhop charged me for the move going over the estimated 5 hours! With only 2 of the workers showing up for the move, and me ending up helping the 2 workers to complete the move… They did reimburse me some of the charge for only having 2 workers show up, but still was charged more than the quoted price. Just rubs me the wrong way that I was charged more for something that was not my fault.

The movers were efficient and very patient with me. I’m elderly with dementia and easily confused. They made the move much less stressful. Thanks for the support.

This was the most confusing and frustrating moving experience. The moving subcontractor did a great job with the move itself, but the billing process through Bellhops is a nightmare. We were quoted $1100. Went over by 30 minutes. Paid $1600 and were double charged another almost $1500. Bellhops and the subcontractors have been zero help in trying to resolve the issue. We finally had to file a dispute with our card company after almost 2 weeks of back and forth. We will contract directly with a mover next time.
After seeing the company reply I wanted to clarify a couple of things:
1. Our estimate was for 4 hours and actual time spent (including the movers stopping for a break) was 4.5 hours.
2. We have never received a refund after calling 3 times and have finally decided to dispute the second charge.

I strongly advise against using Bellhop Moving. Initially, the booking agent seemed friendly and accommodating, but the experience quickly turned sour. They subcontracted the job to another company without transparency, resulting in communication issues and unexpected fees. Changing the move window by a mere two hours became an ordeal, with delayed responses and unexplained rate changes. Despite my efforts to resolve issues with their operations team, I was met with indifference and lack of follow-up. Even when canceling the reservation two weeks in advance due to these issues, they refused to refund the deposit. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience.

The mover’s were amazing! They took care of our things and were very polite. I would recommend this crew for anything.

Bellhop did a good job. They sent me a QR code which unfortunately the movers weren't able to scan. And I wish there was no minimum time for moving, since my move took less than two hours but I still had to pay the minimum of three hours of time. Anyway, they were very upfront about the cost and they estimated five hours so they charged me for that. But they sent me a receipt of the final bill and I received my refund inside of a week. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much.
(By the way, you can save even more money with them on Groupon!)

The movers damaged almost 10,000 worth of property to date I have not been compensated. This occured in 2022, we were disaster victims the movers showed up late nothing to wrap our furniture with so I went out purchased wrap and pads to move our belongings they wasn’t using the wrap they took my stainless steel fridge out the door unwrapped I have video and pics tore it up they said make a claim this was purposely as in the video you could hear me say don’t take it out like that it can’t fit wrap it they continued as if they didn’t hear me all three movers it was supposed to be four three showed looked like kids I asked for experienced seasoned movers. The movers said they were tired and even after I phoned management to explain what was happening the movers laughed and said we don’t care about this job we got other jobs I told management this was a nightmare do not use this company I’m telling you if you want to take a chance with your belongings than be my guest. They offered me 325. Get this wanted me to pay for time over the move time. The workers took cigarette breaks at leisure however they wanted me to pay. Than get this the movers decided they were done and did not move all my furniture I had to go to uhaul get a truck move the rest of my items to a uhaul storage which I was glad they didn’t move the rest they would have tore it up too. This company should not be in business with these fraudulent antics my contract said accident they pay a certain amount well this was on purpose !!! They thought it was actually funny used profanity and stole an item from my Son bedroom we had to file a police report. Their going to respond they tried to resolve the matter they wanted me to accept 325 initially than changed it to 700, for damaging 10,000 worth of expensive furniture here’s the kicker they raised the price as the movers went over the time took it off after I complained than said they took a percentage off the move when they literally added money they are frauds you have to go to court with them

It was not a good experience, we had two guys should’ve had four one of the guys kept telling us we should’ve had four guys and he had an attitude and was not happy that there was only two of them and it ended up taking them several additional hours. we have not received our container from the move yet, but I feel very confident everything‘s going to be busted up when it gets here. Very very disappointed in your company!

BAIT-AND-SWITCH TACTICS, MOVER BEWARE! Moving my mom In St. Louis, MO: Quoted me via email at $200/hr for the job over a month in advance. The day before the move I received a call from a company that is not Bellhop but told me that they "picked up the contract through Bellhop". The next day the movers worked out well but then charged me $1150 on a $750 quote, a quote that Bellhop had provided. Instead of $200/hr, they charged $250, plus extra fees for the truck rental, all of which I was made aware of AFTER the move completed; I had no reason to think that the estimate had changed. Single bedroom, in city move, 3.5 hours and 3 people with a truck rental. I just did a similar move in Sacramento but with a 2 bedroom and it cost me less than that. Bellhop is saying that they have no record of the transaction and that it isn't their responsibility. I still have the voicemail of the movers saying "Hi, this is (moving company name), we picked up your contract through Bellhop..." Check some other reviews, their backend systems (CRM) don't talk to each other (so they can claim there's no accurate record of your transaction) and their customer service is an insult to paying customers. I'd give no stars if it was an option.

If I could do zero stars - I would. I was notified at the same time they were supposed to arrive that they would only have one mover - when two were reserved . Customer support was useless as I was on hold for over 15 minutes and still talked to no one. Finally called back w no good solution or way to make things right. Ultimately I had to hire another mover at a higher cost to me.
Cancelled my reservation in less than 24 hours and without reason. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! Really left us in a bad position with no movers. Unprofessional and unreliable!
The guys were very nice and helpful. They took direction well and made the experience pleasant.

This company is a scam. They sent two very short small skinny guys. They were late, rude, carried small items together to rack up time, refused to use their own dolly to rack up time. They could not complete the move because they said they were to weak and small to move a dresser! Bellhop could not send someone else out for a couple days but my grandma needed to be out by the next day. I had to hire two men and a truck which were Great! Bellhop mover quit half way through day and I had to beg an assisted living employee to help finish my grandmas move! Bellhop added one extra time even though their employee quit half way through!!! They discounted my account $75. I still had to pay $475!

Our movers were careless with our furniture resulting in damaged items. They did not wrap our brand new dining chairs resulting in multiple scuffs and dings. They anchored our refrigerator in such a way that bent the door hinge resulting in unrepairable damage, this causing us to replace our refrigerator. Be cautious when you sign the contract, because Bellhops will only replace $0.60 per pound of damaged items. We didn’t catch that, so their compensation for their carelessness will hardly cover any of the damage they caused to our furniture. The cost of the damage they caused is $1,431.50, and they are only willing to cover $206.
Furthermore, when I tried to call to get help with a billing issue, no one would answer my call. I waited on the phone for an hour. I then opted to chat with someone online, and I waited in the queue to speak with someone for three and a half hours. I finally called and spoke to someone in the booking department since no one would answer my response in a timely manner. The booking department has always been helpful and responsive since day one. Five stars for them.
We will absolutely never use Bellhops again as this has been a less than acceptable moving experience.
