I had an extremely disappointing…

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Bellhop Moving. They moved me in back in February and caused a massive ~massive gouge in my hardwood floors right at the front entrance — the first thing you see when you walk in.

What’s worse than the damage is how they handled it afterward. I’ve spent the last three months going back and forth with them, and it’s been nothing but delays, excuses, and runaround. At this point, it feels like they have no intention of taking responsibility or making it right.

If you’re considering using them, just know that if something goes wrong, you may be stuck dealing with a frustrating claims process and zero accountability.

Would not recommend at all.

Our movers went OVER and BEYOND today

Our movers went OVER and BEYOND today! They helped in ways we didn’t expect, and we are so very grateful. They cared for our things, made sure everything was protected, and did what they could to reorganize in the new space. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone, ans we are thankful for their help today!

Chris and Amahrion were the best! They treated our belongings with the utmost respect, and they always asked for our thoughts and permission while organizing the pieces into the moving van. Move on 11/27/24

I was extremely pleased with the gentlemen who helped us move. I was less pleased when full payment was charged and taken from my bank account 4 days prior to my moving date. I was uncomfortable being fully charged before the job had even started, and that’s not what the I was told would happen, I was told the deposit would be charged, and would be 10% of the quoted price of the move, the quoted price amount would be placed under a hold in my bank account, and once the move was completed, the final balance owed would be deducted. That didn’t happen.

Can't recommend Bellhop enough!

I could not recommend Bellhop enough! I've never used a moving service before, so I was apprehensive, but our movers were professional, efficient, and helpful! They arrived and started working immediately, getting everything done several hours quicker than expected! I will definitely use Bellhop for my next move, and will recommend it to others.

Excellent Service!

Jalen, Ramon and Brian were incredible! They were on time, quick yet careful, and put in the extra effort to get all of my things safely to the 3rd floor (without an elevator). I would 100% use bellhop again for my moves in Nashville or out of Nashville!

If I could give negative stars I would

If I could give negative stars I would. Initially when you sign up for the move, they inundate you with emails, calls and texts. I finally had to tell them I hired them to move me from A to Z and would touch base with them the day before the move. They showed up that morning on time. According to one of the movers, they are contracted so they may work once a month or whenever. So, they have no vested interest in the company or the customer. With the exception of the truck driver, they all drove their own cars. One of the movers drove across our lawn and over the septic tank. We had to yell at him to get on the driveway. He told us "Most people have no problem with us driving on the lawn." I lived in an upscale neighborhood (not that it should matter) and told him we do mind someone driving on the lawn and the neighborhood I was moving into also minded. To make a long story short, we needed two full trucks. The movers just threw things where they liked when we arrived at the destination. We initially ended up missing 2 guitars, jewelry armoire full of jewelry, a golf bag and clubs. As time progressed, we were missing several other items. I called the next day to ask Bellhops if they could touch base with the movers to see if anything was left in the truck. They told me there was no way to do that. You're kidding right? Just one day later? To make a long story short I am missing additional items. It's not just the money but sentimentally these items are irreplaceable. I guess I should have jumped in the trucks to make sure they were empty. I didn't even want to make a claim initially just have them check for the items. You have to file a claim within 5 days and Bellhops gave me a grand total of $137. I have lived in 13 states and overseas and my last move was from the west coast to TN. Not one thing was broken, damaged or lost then. This was absolutely the worst moving experience of my life. And good luck getting someone who doesn't have English as a second language. I will never use them and never recommend them. There are much better companies out there.

We apologize that you are not satisfied with our proposed compensation. We compensate for damages based on each item’s moving industry standard weight, calculated at .60/lb as stated in our Terms of Service .

The staff was incredibly professional…

The staff was incredibly professional and efficient. They took great care and making sure they didn’t damage floors or walls when moving heavy items. They were very thoughtful about how they packed the items into my pod and overall they were just very nice people. I will be using them again and recommending them to all my friends

Branden and William were great.

Branden and William moved heavy, bulky furniture from the 2nd floor to the 1st in our old house. It has narrow stairs and tight spaces. They were positive and moved furniture without any damage to walls or surroundings. We would hire again.

It’s a gamble; buy extra insurance

Would have been a 4 or 5 star review but the loaders who packed the truck broke my TV and Bellhop claims was not at all helpful. $1500 worth of damage and I was offered $42. It was frankly insulting. The load also took nearly twice as long as our original quote. I knew it would be a bit of a gamble based on other reviews but it was the cheapest quote we got. I suppose you get what you pay for. I would not recommend using Bellhop for your move unless you're:
1) Willing and able to catalog all your stuff to buy supplementary moving insurance
or
2) Not moving anything more valuable than $0.60 a pound

Would definitely use again

Easy to book your move, pricing is transparent and reasonable. The movers showed up exactly on time and were quick and efficient. This is my second move with them and would definitely use again.

Bellhop is going downhill.

My couch was taken apart and the pins and knobs to connect the pieces were not given to me. Upon submitting a claim I was told this would not meet the $300 insurance deductible for damages. I paid an extra $40+ for enhanced insurance as well. Also, a mover was 40 minutes late but I didn’t meet the time minimum so I’m not sure I could get a refund for that.

Regarding the insurance claim, we want to clarify that your chosen coverage plan, as outlined in the Moving Service Agreement, comes with a deductible based on actual cash value. Unfortunately, in this instance, the actual cash value did not meet the deductible, and as per the terms of the agreement, we are unable to proceed with the claim. However, as a goodwill gesture, we have applied a discount of 10% to your final bill.

In terms of the delayed arrival of one of our movers, we understand that timing is crucial, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the 40-minute delay in the arrival of one of our movers. Please be aware that, per our arrival policy, we allow for a 60-minute arrival window to account for unexpected factors like traffic. Therefore, a 40-minute delay does not fall under the category of lateness according to our policy.

Despite this, we recognize that your time is valuable, and we genuinely regret any disruption caused.
