Do not use this moving company

Do not use this moving company. We are sitting here waiting for the movers to arrive. We had scheduled a move for yesterday, May 15, well in advance and called to confirm. The move was scheduled for 2 p.m. At 12:20 p.m. my daughter received a phone call that they did not have a team and would not be coming. We were rescheduled for today, May 16 at 8 a.m. It is now 9:18 a.m. and after 2 phone calls to the company we have been told that they had to assemble a team and will now be here at 1030 a.m. We have taken off work, had to pack and re-pack and have had two of our planned days totally disrupted. We could not be more disappointed with this service. We have also been promised multiple return calls which never occur. Kim was helpful and I appreciate her assistance with this horrible outcome. I hope changes are made at the company so this never happens again to anyone else. I have asked for a discount - frankly we should have a free move. Now I have been told despite talking to customer service that I have to write an email.

Brilliant all round!

Brilliant all round - very happy with everything! The guys were attentive, polite and efficient. They worked hard and fast. Wish we’d known about Bellhop sooner!

That storage spot!

This experience was great both gentlemen did their jobs absolutely well even though someone was an hour late because of truck issues but besides that great experience. Came in my old apartment and moved things out quick. helped and got into my storage unit perfectly perfect!

Great Movers, Terrible Customer Service

The mover, Riccardo, that was assigned to me was great. However, I was initially quoted for 2 movers and truck. Only 1 mover showed up and I was told another would be sent. Never given an update and only 1 mover was there. Still finished under time however I called afterwards to ensure I wasn’t charged the initial quote since only 1 person came. The customer service agent said it would update on Thursday since my move was on Tuesday. On Thursday I was charged twice, once for the FULL price of the quote and another for the updated amount. OVER $1000 for a $500 quote, I had to call the customer service line 3 times and each time I was given the run around and they continued to tell me the total price I owed included a deposit I already paid and a tip that was instantly taken out of my account. I kept asking if they would tell me the amount I owed after the money I already paid was subtracted and that question was not answered. Now the following Monday, the adjustment that was promised for the overcharge is no longer on my banking statement and I was charged a total of $620 to my account (and this is a final charge not pending charge) when I have an email breakdown that states I owe only $579. After this review, my account will likely adjust but the business practices of this company are unprofessional. I should have been updated about the mover situation, I should not have had to call to make sure I was not overcharged just to still be overcharged and then not have my direct questions answered after calling customer service 3 times in one day. Will not recommend this company and will not use their services again

The movers rounded up the end time by…

The movers rounded up the end time by 40 minutes which was incorrect. They scratched up the floors and the man driving the moving truck almost hit my car. I do not recommend this company AT ALL!

Great move, annoying “concierge”

The actual move itself was great. The moving team was super awesome, and I would give them 5/5 stars. However, Bellhop itself was slightly frustrating because they kept trying to contact me beforehand with their “free concierge” service. I stated multiple times that I wasn’t interested, yet they called and texted me at least once a day. It also seemed to be a chatbot, not an actual person, since they used the same number but switched names three times.

Communication is key so when my movers…

Communication is key so when my movers had a delay I was contacted immediately and the lead mover Ricardo was also communicating with me on their arrival time.
They got to work immediately after they sized up the move and the unload was handled just as efficient.
Guys were polite and just good to work with

Friendly and fast.

Friendly and they accomplished pretty much everything in the 2 hour timeframe.

I didn't realize that they would not be providing the dollies, but luckily my building has some.

Love this company!

The Bellhop team made my move so much easier! They were communicative, had a concierge who could help me shift my major internet lines and utility service, and the professional movers were extremely fast, careful, proficient and made the day a breeze.

The move went smoothly

The move went smoothly, thanks to our Bellhop assistants!
Scheduling by telephone was easy and the scheduler I spoke with was responsive and got back to me quickly with an estimate.
The movers reported on time, ready to work. They were efficient, knew what they were doing, took care with our items, and finished in a timely manner. They were pleasant and easy to work with and I'd be happy to use any of them again.

This was a very last minute decision…

This was a very last minute decision and it really paid off! The two helpers finished unloading a 26 ft truck in the two hour time slot. It was very hot and there was a lot of steps but they were so pleasant. Shout out to Ekuduroand Jeannie for a great job! We will definitely recommend this company for future moves!
