Ian Chapin at Gerhard's - one of the best

My wife and I have been helped by Ian Chapin for the last few years. We have purchased several appliances at Gerhard's with his guidance. Ian is very professional and an absolute joy to work with. We have recommended him and Gerhard's to our friends and family.

Ian Chapin provided quick and efficient…

Ian Chapin provided quick and efficient service when I called to purchase a new microwave. He set up the service call to install within a couple days of purchase. A pleasure doing business with him!

Ian Chapin was the best

Ian Chapin was the best. I use Gerhards often for most all our appliances and service as well.
The sales person, Ian, who helped me with my TV purchase was great.... especially during COVID. Not only did he beat the competitors price... he also found me an upgrade on the TV!
I recommend Gerhard's and Ian!

Personalized service after online order

I ordered a refrigerator online after-hours for a studio apartment in a guest house area that does not have a kitchen. We need this area to be more equipped so our daughter can live there rather than in the house when she begins graduate school. We are worried about COVID exposure so want to keep social distance. I called to ensure that the electrical wattage would be ok and to check on delivery. Ian Chapin answered my call just as the store was opening on Sunday. He pulled up my record and saw that the model I ordered is out of stock and in production with an eta of late August and perhaps later. He offered to call me back before 4pm to review other models with me once they were caught up on the night orders. He assured me about the electricity plug and wattage. He called me back in a few hours with a recommendation of a slightly smaller (17.5 instead of 18 cubic feet) but slightly better (Energy Star Rating) refrigerator that could be delivered the end of the month with no change in cost. I am very grateful for the personal, knowledgeable service.

Saved in the Pandemic

In the midst of the pandemic my elderly refrigerator gave up the ghost. We had shopped very unhappily at three other stores before we found Ian Chapin at Gerhard's Appliance. Ian made the process simple and found us exactly what we wanted (which others said did not exist). The refrigerator came quickly and the delivery people deserve a shout out as well: they were superb. I am coming back to Ian to help me find another appliance.

I looked online and then called to get more details, and the service rep, named Ian, was very helpful and knowledgeable on the appliances. It is great to get expert advice. He also arranged for installation with a good warranty. The prices were very competitive too.

It's all about great and consistent customer service

Earlier this week I purchased a new washing machine at your Doylestown store location. Brian Friedman was the sales representative who waited on me. The store was very busy that morning, and although I only waited a few minutes Brian apologized for the wait. I tend to ask a lot of questions and Brian took the time to answer each one and provide me with options that I needed. Rachel Prince in customer service handled my check out. She was great to deal with as well. Over the next couple of days I emailed Rachael with multiple questions on meeting competitor pricing, extended warranty options and rebates. Each day she got back to me promptly, and always with friendly attitude.. Rachael was also able to provide me with a refund, meeting a competitor's sale price.
There are many appliance retailers to compete with today, but most no longer have good and consistent customer service. Pricing is very difficult to compete with these days, but Gerhard's great customer service is what will set them apart from other large retailers. Please express my thanks to both Rachael and Brian for their patience and great service.

Great Customer Experience with eCommerce Team

My interaction with Gerhard's went in a few different ways, with the end result being ultimately overwhelmingly positive. We had reached a breaking point where we felt like we had reached a point of no return, but Ian (eCommerce group) stepped in to save the day. His customer service went so far above and beyond, that I don't know that I would buy appliances elsewhere. Our project extended over a large period of time, their flexibility and coordination with our products and deliveries were impressive. Everything came in as expected and was in great condition. Very happy with the overall experience - even with the hiccup - as the results and effort in the end were incredible and worth it.

Poor appliance service experience.

I have bought many appliances at Gerhards in the past partly because their in-house service department was great. No longer. My first experience with their new service arm Fast Appliance Repair will be my last! The tech came to check why my ice maker wasn't making ice. He checks ice maker, it is working but no isn't getting water. He tells me to turn off and then on the water valve in the basement. Ice maker starts working. I accept the $89 diagnostic fee. But I was charged an additional $60 for labor when he didn't repair anything. And when I called to inquire about the charges the customer service rep says he'd check on it and get back to me. He didn't. When I called a second time, I learned the rep had written in my file that he called me and left a voice message, which was a lie. The new rep tells me the $60 labor fee was for the tech realigning the water line. But the water line was never the issue, it was the water valve in my basement, which he never even looked at. I will never again use this company for service.

Great Sales Experience at Gerhard's!

We have been Gerhard's Appliance Customers for over 10 years and have had excellent sales and service experiences every time.
Most recently we wanted to purchase a new washer and dryer and we did not have the time to visit their Doylestown, PA location. We were put in touch with Ian Chapin in their sales department and Ian took care of everything for us. Although we had done some research on the Gerhard's website, Ian was able to answer all of our questions about features, pricing and delivery. Ian treated us like we were his most valued customers! After the sale, Ian made sure our special delivery instructions were passed on to their delivery team and everything went smoothly! Ian even followed up with us the make sure we had properly applied for our eligible rebates!
We can't say enough about Ian and Gerhard's commitment to customer satisfaction!

This transaction couldn’t have gone better!

I had a remarkably positive experience today ordering appliances by phone with Ian Chapin. From reviewing the dimensions of my existing appliances to make sure the new ones would fit to explaining available rebates, this was a first class experience. Even though I will have to wait a while for the new appliances to arrive as Gerhardt’s wait for them to arrive, Ian was very helpful in setting expectations regarding how delivery will ultimately work, including waiting for all items or delivering and installing them as they arrive. Thank you, Ian, for making this easy!

Jordan Harris was a prompt sales person…

Jordan Harris was a prompt sales person at Gerhardt's as we have been without a refridgerator for a couple of weeks. Due to Covid 19 overall sales people all over are scarce. A local giant appliance store promised us a refridgerator and the night before never called us. My husband went to the store to get the number of delivery people and called and they didn't even know who we are. At Gerhardts , Jordan looked up our model and gave us a date which will happen in a couple of days. So far so good!!!!
