Good to get your work done - especially for morning / evening routines.

It works. Great community of people. You get together, get things done, share your experience and leave. Simple as that.

Since I use focusmate I am able to work from home! As a typical ADD'er I need accountability. This form works great, I have no single bad experience, only good for all the 50 sessions I have done. It can seem scary to videocall with strangers but because you have the same goal you support each other. It has an easy interface and you get 3 free sessions a week.
Thank you Focusmate for making it able for me to work from home and feel good about myself because I get work done and stop procrastinating!

Love this app! It is so useful for productivity. I love the community on here. Everyone is chill and encouraging. I would recommend this app to folks who work from home who need some extra motivation to get through the workday.

The most effective platform to focus by far! I've been using Focusmate since 1.5 years ago. Is like having the BEST classmate ever to have study sessions with. I LOVE IT. Please try it out. I promise you won't regret.

As a Focusmate fan, having done 3,000+ sessions since May 2023, I can't recommend this platform enough as the greatest way to focus on and actually get done whatever you need to get done, through easy and supportive accountability from literally all over the world! I've gained SO much productivity focusing with "strangers" from over 19 countries across six continents - and several becoming "favorites" with whom I've forged great friendships. In fact, the 3,000 sessions snuck up on me because for me it's not about tracking them or the goal of how many, it's about the goal of each one. Grateful to Taylor Jacobson and his team for Focusmate!

I absolutely love Focusmate. I spend all day at the computer and sometimes the isolation can be overwhelming and debilitating. Focusmate has changed my life. Not only do I get far more done, I've met people from all over the world! It is extraordinary. This evening, I worked and chatted with a woman in Australia and then a woman three hours ahead on the East Coast, with whom I've worked before. I've met and worked with young high school students doing homework, college students practicing instruments, and older people in far flung countries doing projects of every type. This is perhaps the most joyous product of the internet.

Focusmate are truly a wonderful company with truly wonderful staff. I applied for their Scholarship programme and was gratefully accepted. I find it fantastic that this company enables people that are struggling that may not otherwise be able to reach their goals without additional help which the services Focusmate meet.

I found Focusmate during the pandemic, and it has been instrumental in keeping me on track. The genius of it? I'll let myself down by scrolling social media instead of working, but I won't let my Focusmate partner down. That external accountability has helped me conquer procrastination through different phases: the job hunt, skill-building early in my career, knocking out mundane chores, and carving out intentional learning time. When I use it consistently, I make great use of my time.

Focusmate has been a lifesaver for me!! I’ve suffered from crippling task paralysis for years, and this is the only thing that’s pulled me out of it.

The staff is also incredibly kind and eager to help with any issues that may arise. They also respond very quickly, which is a nice breath of fresh air.

I had undiagnosed ADHD until 24. I'm 27 now and worked quite hard, putting in 10x the amount of effort as the average person to get half the result. I can say with absolute conviction that if I found Focusmate earlier, I would only have to expend a fraction of the effort for 10x the outcome. Hence, I'm overjoyed that I found this service, but also a little sad I didn't find it earlier as it would have made life significantly easier.

ADHD often doesn't just present challenges "starting" but also sustaining focus enough to get into the flow state. So theoretically, I could start but I can't help myself from getting up from my seat 100s of times or browsing random things. The format of focus mate sessions being 25, 50 and 75 minutes, along with setting and reflecting of specific goals, having someone there which prevents you from getting up, all contribute towards preventing my common issues with getting into the flow state. Hence, whenever I start the day not as productive, instead of getting worried about the state of my life, i know I can just book a Focusmate session now and change the course of my day. I can say that I've tried 100s of apps and services in addition to counselling for ADHD/productivity over the years. Focusmate is scientifically well thought-out, which you will find on an article called 'The Science of Focusmate' on their website. As a result, Focusmate comes quite close to actually being medicated for ADHD. I personally had some adverse side effects to medication due to co-morbid issues, owing to which I couldn't continue, so I'm glad to find something that can help so much. I think it would help anyone in various life situations get more out of their day in terms of productivity and satisfaction.

I should note that my positive experience may also be complemented by other strategies I've employed over the years. For instance, this last year I left social media and for a part of it I even switched to a dumb phone. Hence, I've already repaired a great deal of my concentration through several methods like these. Try out and adopt different strategies that work for you. I think what I really love about this app though as someone who had to put so much personal effort is they kind of do a lot of the work for you. So seamless and easy to book sessions.

I know people sometimes talk about the cancellation in sessions, but they do try their best to connect you as soon as possible. I also weirdly feel the intermittent reinforcement nature of that process, where you don't always know if you'll connect with someone, actually makes the app even more addictive. It's what's used regularly in social media, may be unintentional here but what I'm trying to say is that the benefits of this app strongly outweigh any minor inconvenience.

If Focusmate existed when I was in school, I probably would’ve made it to the top of my class. I have been struggling with focus for decades, and it’s been a challenge getting things done on my own especially now that I work from home. Using Focusmate has made such a difference. It keeps me on track and helps me actually finish what I start. The people on there are great too. They’re doing a really good job with this platform. I just wish I had discovered it sooner.

They are a conscious, inspiring, tech savvy business. Their website is easy to use and navigate (haven't tried the app yet) and super interesting - I especially like their "The Science Behind FOCUSMATE" page.

Their vibe is professional, knowledgeable, fun, and supportive. Even SPIRITUAL. They make communicating with them EASY, providing numerous email addresses, for various purposes.

Despite still being relatively new to using FOCUSMATE, from right out of the gate, my experiences are positive and many. Benefits likewise. So much so that I'm looking to upgrade my account from FREE, to their PLUS membership.

I'm about to email FOCUSMATE, and based on their upfront appearance, am excited about communications with them.

Every now and then, I come across a productivity app that has huge ROI for me. Focusmate has taken the crown. It has honestly been life changing. Accountability was the missing piece of the puzzle for me, and now I’ll never look back.
