Great flowers!

I was so worried after I ordered and saw the reviews but the flowers have arrived on time and look beautiful, will def be using again as the value was much better than interflora

30th Birthday

Ordered flowers last week for delivery today on my wife's 30th Birthday and received an email saying that they had been delivered. She then called me on lunch and I asked if she liked them and to my amazement she asked what I was talking about. Not only have they not been delivered they don't know where they are and have issued a refund. I am so disappointed and will never use this company again.

I ordered flowers for my Wife's …

I ordered flowers for my Wife's Anniversary via a Paypal Advertisement. They did not arrive on the agreed date despite e-mails confirming they were being delivered. I wrote e-mails on the day but received no response. They turned up 2 days later by Royal Mail wilted and basically not suitable for display. I had to contact the company myself in the end and i did receive a full refund but the whole customer service experience was simply appalling. There seemed to be no appreciation of how important their failure was to both me and my wife and certainly no offer of any compensation for the inconvenience and disappointment they caused. I would avoid them as there are far better companies out there that can deliver some flowers on time and to a better standard. I have still not received any form of written apology from them (Order FD10001699736)

On the third day Easter flowers binned

I received flowers from my husband for Easter.They arrived Thursday and did look lovely on arrival.It consisted of white roses and calla lilies in the 'amaze' selection. One lilly was damaged on arrival,two Lilleys were droopy and dead the next day and by Easter Sunday all the roses were well past their best, extremely disappointing. My husband contacted the company three times,yesterday he heard they would refund the money as a sorry and a compensation!!It was the very least we expected I thought they would have sent me flowers as well.
I had received flowers from the same company for mothers day from my son and they were fabulous. It gave me confidence to use the company to send flowers to my daughter,they were perfectly ok.I now wouldn't use the company again especially the way the complaint was treated.I sent photos and a separate complaint but that was ignored.

Arrived too late

Ordered a £20 bunch of flowers for Mothers Day a week in advance, wasted a full day 7am till 7pm waiting in for the delivery, only for it not to turn up. Spoke to customers services actually on Mother's Day and asked for a call back within the hour, 7 hours later I rang them them back and they promised me a supervisor would call me back. The following day I called back again once the (half dead) flowers had been delivered, only to find out they had already issued a refund.

The point being, I wouldn't touch this company (which is owned by Interflora) with a barge pole.

Customer Services completely dysfunctional

Website wasn't functioning correctly when I tried to place an order, repeatedly. After ordering through another company, I felt it courteous to let Flowers Direct know - via the link on their website to their Customer Services team - of the issue with the website. No response from Customer Services. So I re-sent the email - still no response from Customer Services. No wonder the online reviews of this company are consistently low. I for one will not even try to use their services again

Slightly amended, see final paragraph....Would never recommend such appalling service

I purchased flowers during the week before Valentine's day for delivery on the 14th... order was accepted and money taken from my account, I received confirmation etc. So all seemed well.
On the morning of the 14th I received an email stating that the flowers were out for delivery with their courier, weirdly I also received a 2nd email just under an hour later stating exactly the same as the first.
2 minutes after the 2nd email another appeared, this stated that the order was not going to be delivered, due to their "supplier failure to despatch"...and that they would "like" to "offer" a refund.
Due to the conflicting emails I then phoned, after 29minutes I eventually got through to an operator who said that lots of people were affected, when asked why I had received the despatch emails I was told that was normal, strange I thought that a confirmation of despatch saying that the goods were on their way with the courier actually meant they had left, thus is not the case, it just means someone pressed a button "expecting" that the goods had been despatched.
I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor and was told that was not possible and they would phone back - still waiting.
I looked elsewhere to try to organise same day delivery, cheapest was interflora, which I could get through flowersdirect, at nearly 3 times the cost, unfortunately none of the local florists were accepting local orders.
I eventually ordered via interflora directly, wish I had in the beginning.
I sent a tweet on twitter to flowersdirect just mentioning the poor service, within minutes I had a call, lovely woman tried to help, but couldn't get flowers any quicker than the 16th - 2 days later! Yet even on the day I could order for delivery on the 15th (standard nextday)
Finally she has offered to have the flowers sent free of charge on the 16th & a full refund.

Now I understand things do go wrong, but for systems not to be on place to minimise these issues is simply appalling, to send emails confirming despatch & goods on their emway, should mean precisely that. If an order is placed days, weeks before, then once confirmed that should be stuck to.
Refunds should be automatic, so should good customer service, if a despatch notice states "Your recent Flowers Direct order is prepared, is on its way and scheduled for delivery later today. Rest assured, your gift is in safe hands"
- should actually mean that the goods are on their way!! It would have been nice to know earlier in the day so that an alternative could be found. An email is not acceptable for important communication that needs quick response.

I payed nearly 3 times as much in order to get flowers on the day, will I be compensated? No... but flowersdirect twitter have refunded & are delivering free flowers as a sorry.... does this make up for my loss - no... Does it restore my faith in the company - no... does it make me want to recommend the company - never in a million years, would I personally use them again - definitely not,even if they were the last flower delivery company left...

Save yourself all the bother, buy from interflora or your local florist (best option)... don't trust these guys to deliver on time even if your have been given confirmation & told goods are on their way..

Anyone wanting proof of emails/order etc, no problem I am 100% willing to provide.

Well I have to say I was a little surprised, maybe I have marked this company wrong... my initial 1 star review is correct in my view, but, since my wife has not only received the flowers (2 days late) but today (3 days late) they also sent a nice bottle of Prosecco & box of chocolates....plus a full refund... so even though I paid 3x the price for same day delivery elsewhere due to the failure, my wife has had 2 sets if flowers & the extras.. so for follow up customer service I think it only fair that I change to 3*.... I was a double special day this year for her, slightly spoiled by this event, but Flowers Direct have at least made a very decent gesture... much appreciated.

Flowers poor. Customer service not so bad,

I don't recognise the company from the previous reviews saying their customer service is so bad. The flowers are a different issue. I ordered in good time for Valentines day but when the flowers were delivered 40 buds fell on the floor when the flowers were unwrapped. Some blooms still on stems were also near the end of their life. I immediately phoned CS and was offered a full refund or a re-delivery the same day. As it was Valentines Day I opted for the re-delivery. Unfortunately the new delivery has still not arrived even though I received a confirmation email. Another call today to CS, this time requesting a full refund. There were no quibbles and it was agreed. I am assuming that the refund will actually be credited to my card but that would be a different problem and I have no reason to think it will not be. It doesn't make up for my wife's disappointment on the day but dealing with Flowers Direct has been easy, friendly and efficient.

Con Artists

was directed to this company by Interflora, placed an order took my money no problem, Flowers never delivered to my Girlfriend's work, Keep me on hold for ages to then be told " we are to busy call back later" then the line drops. Try again to call them and the line goes into white noise.

Will be filing a dispute with the bank!

Thought I would try these guy out - useless!

To whom this concerns,

The time is now 7.50pm and I have still not yet received the flowers I ordered. I have waited in all day.

My partner has now left our flat to start her night shift.

I cannot describe how disappointed I am.

I usually order flowers through a local florist, but thought I would give you guys a try.

It is needless to say, I will not order flowers with you again and would rather pay slightly more and have the confidence the flowers will be delivered within the specified time.

Valentine's day

Avoid this company if you can. I ordered some flowers to my wife for Valentine's day, but it never arrived. They didn't even tried to contact me about it.

Lookin on the reviews for today, I wasn't the only one. The site maybe a scam, so just reported.

What an appalling company with poor morals. Not impressed

I make my order and then read on here but thought people only leave a review when something goes wrong, well something has gone majorly wrong on valentines day and all I got was an email with my name in block capitals saying sorry but we cannot deliver and we are giving you a refund. I called, queued for 30 mins then send a slating message over facebook and they called me back. They are offering the full refund and they are upgrading my flower order and Interflora will deliver another one tomorrow at their cost. Thats fine but they miss the point that TODAY in Valentines day, not tomorrow. They have ruined their reputation in my opinion and I will never use them again.

No customer service what so ever

Ordered some flowers the day before valentines to be delivered to my partners work. She wasnt feeling great and turns out she said she wouldnt be in work the following day. I tried contacting customer services an hour after placing the order to change the delivery address, and emailed. No response, no way of getting through on the phone.

Subsequently they were delivered to her work so now she wont receive her flowers on valentines day. Fantastic

Guaranteed poor service

i ordered flowers ans was guaranteed delivery next day, this did not happen.I had to phone to trace order and was offered redelivery i agreed but asked to change message. They then delivered the original bunch that had sat in the warehouse with a message which was now inappropriate. Customer service did not offer compensation or refund this had to be asked for..

pathetic customer service

Ordered on sun evening....for wed delivery site makes great play of next day free delivery but couldn,t even make am delivery on the 3rd day. Phoned to complain and Helen ?? Customer services rude and doesnt have a clue on who the customer is.......avoid at all costs. Not Happy
