Worth a visit
We really enjoyed the Fitzwilliam museum, we had time to kill in Cambridge for a day and my son loves ancient Egypt, they had lots of exhibits and he really enjoyed it.

For FREE entry the Fitzwilliam Museum…
For FREE entry the Fitzwilliam Museum is well worth a visit. Lots of varied collections and whenever we've gone there were several school parties evident so kids would find it interesting if you take the time to explain the exhibits. Staff nice and accommodating and helpful. Unlike some museums you are allowed to take photos for private use.
The Courtyard Cafe is excellent but like most places these days not cheap, but quality and choice is good. it gets very busy lunchtimes as its handy as a pop-in as its free to get in… One small gripe for todays visit was the coffee was lukewarm and the cups not full, a good inch below the rim!! We didnt have time to make an issue of it as it was busy.

Great service! I purchased some art cards online and one of them didn't arrive. I sent an email explaining the problem and Mrs Kay Sharkey helped me promptly. She resolved my problem!
