Great comms, delivery and item.

I ordered a post box umbrella stand on 19 June, the same day I got an email from the MD to say they had one in stock and would try to send the next day (20 June) and gave tracking info, it then arrived 21 June, item was exactly as described.

First off, Rob, the owner of the company, was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole transaction. From my experience, he came across as honest, helpful, and genuinely dedicated to what he does.

I’ll admit I was a bit cautious at first. Buying from a private seller I didn’t know, I had concerns about how the item would arrive especially something like this. However, Rob reassured me that he doesn’t send these through standard post due to how items can be handled. Instead, he prefers to deliver them himself or via his own staff. Considering he’s at least a two-hour drive from me, that level of commitment really stood out especially as I wasn’t charged anything extra for delivery.

As part of my commercial photography degree, I studied product photography, so I tend to pay close attention to detail. I can honestly say this piece is very accurate to how it appears online. In fact, it’s even more impressive in person. The level of detail is excellent it’s a really striking piece.

As expected, it’s hollow, but still has a solid, weighty feel. The packaging was also extremely well done. The head is securely cradled in thick cardboard, with additional foam protection on top, and the structure is supported throughout the box. It was very clear that care had gone into making sure it arrived safely.

If I had one small suggestion, it would be that the base could be slightly wider. On thick carpet it might feel a bit less stable, although on flat flooring it’s absolutely fine. Just something to be aware of if you have pets or a busy household.

Overall, I’m really happy with both the product and the service. I was cautious at the start, so I chose to pay via PayPal for peace of mind that’s no reflection on Rob, just standard practice for me. Having gone through the full process now, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from him again.

Proper ‘old school’ service! I ordered a frog butler, with clear advice before the point of purchase that the item was currently out of stock but with an estimated arrival date. Rob’s communication was top notch, providing regular progress updates and generally being super helpful.

Having the need to purchase a small solid oak unit of furniture for my hi fi, whilst having to be aesthetically mirroring my other units, I chose one with the dimensions to suit from this company.
Arrival of the unit was comfortably within their stated delivery date and extremely well protected and packaged protecting the unit within.
The item was fully assembled and of solid oak wood, not oak veneer as with some manufacturers.
The finish to the wood is exemplary as is the jointing to the front, sides and rear and again the draw and shelving. A credit to quality control and to their manufacturing. A solid and pleasing item of furniture.
My purchase was for a small item of quality furniture to fit a designated space in what my wife (graciously!), allows me to call my music room and furnish according to my needs, but tastefully done. Remarkably, she also mirrors my sentiments!
Without question we will use this company in the future.
