If I could give them zero start I would. Absolutely shocking service, ordered item a month ago, no update on delivery, delay, nothing..every time I called them to find out what's going on it was always excuses. Decided to cancel my order and get a refund as I'm refusing to wait any longer. Stay away!!!

I ordered a bookcase that took 5 months to arrive. When it finally came, the top was broken. Communication with them is terrible, with responses taking weeks rather than days. A new top eventually arrived, but it was for a completely different piece of furniture. Then a second incorrect top was sent. Communication has now stopped completely as they refuse to answer any emails.
Avoid this company and buy elsewhere.

Adding to the 0 star reviews and a little advice...

Unfortunately, my experience is the same as many others here. I purchased an item that didn't arrive. A week after it was due, I sent emails and contacted them through their online forms too, no response. I even tried contacting them through PayPal but no response. The item was still available for sale online at this point and I didn't receive an out of stock email, or any other contact after order confirmation.

After reading other reviews here, I didn't bother calling them directly, it seems like they just drag things out, I just requested a refund through PayPal, and got my money back that way. I would give any company a chance to put things right (as I did with fads) but if, like many others, your purchase doesn't arrive and you receive no response from them in a reasonable amount of time, my advice would be to save yourself the heartache and go to your bank directly for a refund, don't waste your time and energy further on a company that won't respond to you and cares little for customer service.

Over six weeks after delivery was due and yet only a few hours after I was refunded, the company did reply to my first email me to tell me the item was out of stock, and would I like some help choosing another item from their site to purchase? Which indicates someone is monitoring their emails, I can only assume they're just not interested in answering if they already have your money.

Avoid

LIke others I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. Almost 5 months from ordering I am still waiting. They do not respond to emails or enquiries left on their website. When I have called I am told delivery will be within 10 days but there is no email confirmation or delivery. Customer service is non existent. I would never order from them agin

It’s unfortunate that you can’t rate a company 0 stars. Seems unfair to all the 1 star companies to be lumped in with FADS. Believe the reviews here. This company is horrific and shouldn’t be operating. Their service is non existent. They make promises they can’t keep and will happily sell you furniture they do not have. KEEP AWAY FROM THEM.

Still waiting 5 months after buying a…

Still waiting 5 months after buying a chair. Always going to be in stock in 2 weeks time (strange as it was in stock when i ordered it) and then it never arrives. Not sure who is writing all the positive reviews but I think they need to vary their response and stop using 'great'.

Oh I wish I’d read these reviews before I purchased some furniture. Ordered furniture in January still haven’t received it. To be fair I have spoken someone twice over the period & I’m told it’s all to do with Brexit, but please please can I either have my furniture or refund!!!!

In stock item, still not delivered after 2 months!

I'm not surprised to find Trustpilot lists FADS as "are not answering negative reviews".

I placed an order for a home office desk at the end of January, listed as 3-5 days delivery.

Two months on, after a number of chases from myself, and excuses about delay upon delay to stock from the supplier there is still not sign of even a delivery date. Doesn't 3-5 days delivery indicate an item is in stock and ready for immediate despatch?! - I've had no answer to that repeated question either!

I've now requested and am awaiting a refund. I have no doubt they will string that out as long as possible too.

The most insulting part about my two month wait for a 3-5 day non existent delivery is, my item is currently listed on their website in the sale! How do they have surplus stock to put in the sale when they haven't been able to find ONE to fulfil my order?!

Awful company seriously stay away

Awful company seriously stay away! Placed my order with them and took them 2 weeks to let me know my product wont be in stock for 5 months. Now chasing up a refund. Iam now kicking myself for not reading these reviews before as they are all the same. What a scam company.

The worst company to deal with, stay clear of all of them on the phones. Nothing but lies told when asking about your product being delivered.
Just lead you on until eventually you have enough.
Still waiting for a refund so we will see if I get that...

No Custoner Care when things go wrong

I bought a grey elm wood coffee table from fads. It was estimated 3 weeks delivery. After 3 months I received my damaged coffee table by courier. It was clear from the damaged packaging the table had been dropped on one side. I sent pictures to show the damage. After numerous phone calls, I was informed they had advertised the table at the wrong price and would not honour a replacement. After 2 weeks still waiting my refund. Very poor customer experience

Terrible company do not attempt to buy you wont get it ! its a scam it really is i ordered single bed for my son 27th July for when he would be home on leave and guess what he home tonight and still no bed !!

They lied to me ie Charlotte that is several occasions and even told me that another furniture company was to blame ! Said they were with my bed on the truck on its way ! Nope not true i rang the other company to be told that they have never heard of Fads etc and that it was fob off ! now to get a refund ... dont think that will happen somehow DO NOT TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE Do not trust a word Charlotte says

13th of july 2020 ordered 2 wardrobes... Delivery 1-7 days NO wardrobes rang to be told by Kathryn out of stock until end of August... Thanks for letting us know NOT. Offered us other wardrobes and promised delivery within the week... NO wardrobes. Emailed and rang. Spoke to Charlotte who said she would get them dispatched the next day 28th July... Waited no wardrobes, rang them to be told they were delivered and signed for on 31st July... Well dont know where delivered but not to me. Then rang them back to find out they had taken them back to warehouse. This is just one big joke to them. Received an email to say delivery by 5th August NO wardrobes.... Rang no joy. Husband rang Friday 7th August to be told by Charlotte they were being dispatched on the 10th August on a next day delivery.... Sat in all day today waiting for the delivery and you guessed it NO wardrobes. Rang Charlotte and not really interested... I know how must be feeling and can only apologise ... Well no you dont know how i feel and your apology means nothing. You take peoples money and dont supply the goods!!! in my book its called theft. Oh and refused a refund because the wardrobes were dispatched last week yes dispatched straight back to the warehouse!!!
Absolutely disgusting company you should all be ashamed of yourselves.
Oh and but we dont dispatch the goods is their normal excuse... Well its you selling them and advertising delivery 1-7 days

Beware! May need alot of patience!…do not go near this site!

The previous reviews on Fads on this site are not exaggerating! This company is a nightmare. As everyone previous mentioned after 10 emails they replied to one! They are not rude but definately lack any any compassion or customer service. I just got so fed up waiting for them to get hold of the supplier that I just asked for a refund! Even then they didn't apologise . The manager I believe us called Charlotte, but that see doesn't make any difference! Sooo, I can safely say that I will definately NOT be using FADS again Sorry!

Never shopping at Fads

I will never use this shop again.

I had an amazing experience 5 years ago when I bought all the furniture for my first house. Excellent customer service, good products and very caring.

This time I had a completely opposite experience. I bought a bed on Saturday with PayPal but on Monday after checking the status of my order I noticed that it was cancelled. I called them asking for the reason and they said that they have not received the payment do they cancelled it. The operator asked me to make a new booking and this is what I did. After few days I noticed on my bank statements that I was charged twice so I called them back to understand what happened. In this occasion they told me that they could not proceed with my booking because the billing address was not matching with my card details.( Nobody contacted me to let me know abd I discovered it just because I called them due to the double charge) . In order to proceed with the order they asked me to make a third payment with the correct details and they ensured me that the other 2 payments will be refunded in short time.
This morning I have received a phone call from them saying that their supplier does not have the delivery service and for this reason they need to cancel my order. I also asked them to give me as a gesture for the inconvenience a voucher to spend in their shop but they said that it is not possible. At this point they still have charged me £1000 with all the 3 orders and I have not even ordered the bed. They also assured me that all the payments have been refunded but after calling PayPal and my bank none of them can see any refund yet. As the payment was already done, and it is not my fault if the supplier is not shipping items to the buyer house anymore, in order to offer a good customer service, they could also send an external courier who will pick up the bed and deliver it to my home but they did not want to do it.

This is the stuff of nightmares, these people are just about selling and not caring. it has been over six months trying to get the faulty items replaced. they just respond to emails and that is it. I have probably spoken to 6 different people and every time they say previous person has led the company.
They are cheaper but you will end up with a nightmare to deal with. AVOID THEM save your money and time and go to a reputable company.

How can you scam people like this and cause them so much grief.
spend a bit more and get none faulty products and better customer service. this is a scam, selling faulty products and not doing anything about it. I am left with an Ottoman bed that I cannot lift to used the storage compartment and an ugly looking headboard.
when it is sold it is done expect nothing you are on your own and they sell show peices and faulty ones that have been returned.

Keep you hanging on... wouldn't recommend

We ordered some furniture in July, hear nothing and phoned several times. Customer Services very polite and pleasant but clearly lie through their teeth every time you speak to them! They promised to call back several times and never called me back, I always had to call them. We ended up accepting a part order 6 weeks later with a promise of the rest in some weeks, only to find the quality of the furniture was poor and so we sent them back and cancelled the whole order. Collection was at least prompt and on time. Waited a week to ensure the returns had been processed, called to ask for the refund and were told they would arrange it. A week later I called again chasing up the refund, was put on hold and finally told they had had 'issues' with their Paypal account (which I didn't believe). I have now received my refund (I wonder if it would have been more difficult if I hadn't paid through Paypal and with a credit card).... Back to the drawing board for the furniture - I will be checking company reviews before ordering from anyone else!

Shocking service and customer service…

Shocking service and customer service is horrendous when they eventually get back to you !!! Waited 12 weeks for table and chairs which stated 2 weeks when ordered and paid for ! Wasted many days off work using annual leave for deliveries which never arrived ! Only received item after at least 20 phone calls then after we demanded refund and surprise it finally came - pity was 12 weeks ratger than 2 as quoted. Unless you have 3 months to wait and have time to spend every week chasing up your order DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ! Would be zero stars but wont accept !
