Express buy is a FAKE WEBSITE SCAMMING people of there money I just got a refund from my bank thankfully or I would of lost $187 for a tin of Forest green White Knights paint that never existed these people are lowlife scum of the earth ripping innocent people off !!! I’m from Australia DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from these SCAMMERS !! Took me over a month to realise I was not receiving the goods after they could not provide a tracking number or any response

Great Business

I’ve been shopping at Express.com for about 10 years now for work & casual clothes and I love them. They did have a dip in quality around 5 years ago so I went on an Express purchasing hiatus, but now post covid their clothes are worth the price in my opinion. Sometimes I get some duds, but I am easily able to return in store. They also have some awesome sales and clearance specials (all returnable!) and their rewards incentives aren’t bad. Love the styles, will continue to shop here as long as they keep up their quality and I can fit into their clothes.

Love love love love.

I hate to make the other reviewers feel invalidated, but I was on here writing a poor review for a company that actually deserves it and thought about what a great company Express is by comparison. At least in terms of their customer experience, they are among the best. I can't speak to how they treat employees, and I hope that their workers abroad are being paid fairly. You do pay more than Fashion Nova or H&M, so hopefully that gets back to them. Anyways! As a shopping addict who has bought clothing from Express ever since I was a teenager (middle aged now), I can say they are a great company for users. They have a massive selection, and their online experience in particular is stellar. I wouldn't change anything except to lose the videos off of the landing page as they're stressful to see when you're trying to relax and scroll. Express is great with returns and does refunds easily. Their stuff is quality, and they also have great sales. They combine casual and fancy perfectly. And they're from Ohio just like me.

Unpleasant Experience at Express Store, Tinton Falls, NJ

Dear to Whom it May to Concern,

I am writing to express disappointment with my recent visit to your Express store at Tinton Falls, NJ. After using the restroom as per a cashier's direction, a confrontation with the store manager occurred. Her unprofessional behavior, including demanding my departure publicly, was unexpected and disheartening. The manager name was Tara.

My intention was to make a purchase during the visit, having found a shirt of interest. However, the manager's actions gave me pause about supporting an establishment with such an atmosphere. Customer interactions significantly influence a brand's image, and her demeanor fell short of expectations for Express.

I sought assistance from the management team, only to learn they couldn't intervene due to their role as landlords. Their redirection to your website provided an apology.

DISAPPOINTED

Express used to have great looking clothing. Now every time I walk through(2020-present) its like everything faded out to Mayberry RFD. The stylishness of the styles has dissipated.

bad customer service and money hungry company

I gained $40 of rewards and it was showing in my account. Upon checking out the $40 rewards went away. Customer service would not reinstate the $40 even though I've been a loyal customer for YEARS. I Will NOT shop here again! They're too money hungry!

Express brand is good express store is good my issue is with Marketplace 4Laps that u buy thru Express if u want to exchange or return express store wont do it, u go thru the 4Laps app email them and u never get a answer. I Wont buy from them anymore.

Not sure what happened but this company…

Not sure what happened but this company really went to $hit. Went online to place an order, won’t let me do it no matter what.

Then I chat the representative and after slow reply back and forth, they tell me we can help you so you need to call the number and do it through there after 10 plus min.

Called the customer service and another 10 minutes later they say they have no account info and unless I have my card they can’t help. Also the girl on the phone was trying to tell me my math was wrong when I was literally reading the cart line by line in the app. I got so irritated I just hung up.

I tried again to place my order 4 hours later and still it wouldn’t work so I had to call again to customer service. After another 10 minutes of excuses after excuses about tech dept, about chats abilities, about their sale causing so much traffic I “still don’t have my order placed!”

I was offered a $5.00 credit for future orders is all they wanted to do which I politely turn down as it’s just not worth my time.

Also ALL of the people sounded like they are from a third world country with no customer service skills other than just reading a script.

I definitely won’t be shopping with this company again.

Absolute money grabbing

Absolute money grabbing. Shop online for 2 x 55 dollar worth of merchandise. Get charged 33 dollar. The email said the item will arrive separately. So it means each package contain 55dollar worth of good and exempt from custom. Nope nope nope, they charge 30 dollar without telling me. It's not in the bill. I have to ask customer service to figure this out.

Horrible

Horrible, absolutely disgusting customer service and overall experience. I placed 2 orders that products were available . I was charged and immediately after that within 10 min the orders were cancelled. I got my money back after 6 weeks and they kept telling me that is the bank fault . The bank told me that Express is holding the money for 6 weeks as it was showing the release of funds in their system . Even I phoned the customer service after that and spoke to Hazel to place the order for me, she was absolutely useless as I had to tell her that on products I was ordering they had a promotion buy 1 get 2nd 50% as she was charging me full price . Even order placed by her was cancelled within minutes and money refunded after 6 weeks. 1 year ago I tried ordering with a gift card and even that one was cancelled.Don’t ever buy from theme . They are horrible

Customer service is severly lacking

Customer service is severly lacking. Placed an online order and realized that my computer auto-populated a different last name. I called immediately after ordering and was informed that it was "too late to make any changes to the order." They couldn't even hyphenate the last name to ensure proper delivery which is easy to do by a quick few computer strokes and super important considering the location it is being shipped to. I was told to call the shipper (UPS) who notified me they are unable to make the change but that the shipper could make the change or communicate changes in the delivery system/order. I called Express back and explained what I was told by the shipping company. Was again told they were unable to accomodate this simple request. I mean how easy is it to do? This second customer service rep told me they allow corrections and modifications to orders within 30 mins of placing an order online. Clearly not the case as I called less than five minutes after placing my online order. Do not recommend ordering online. Customer service reps make a simple request difficult. Seeing as I do not have an Express in my area, I am limited to shopping at this store online, which I refuse to do again moving forward.

FALSE CARD CHARGES

FALSE CARD CHARGES: All Express customers need to remove their cards from their accounts due to fraudulent orders and charges being placed.
17 N State St, Chicago, IL 60602- This store is unethical, they are most likely stealing customers information and charging to their cards. They do not scan order confirmation upon pick up, they falsely claimed Xavier Johnson's name is on my account (no one is on my account besides me) and allowed him to pick up $500 worth of clothing with no I.D. or order confirmation bar code they were suppose to verify with. They even went as far as to tell me cameras did not show the area of where people pick up merchandise. This store deserves an investigation into its employees.

order 2 men Shirts for Christmas gifts- I receive one shirt and not the other. I was on the phone for 2 hours trying to figure out what happen and order another shirt.
It turns out the shirt was backed ordered...not notifications. They tell they can send me another shirt but I have to pay for it again!!!! Ill get credit for the original order but it will days 7-10 business days and I have to wait for the new order. This company is so full of crap! I will never order from Express again and will pass the word to all my friends and family!!

Marketing messing up sales

Well most of my wardrobe is Express. Not recent due to the fact that when I shop online there is males modeling the women’s clothes yet their main clientele in the women’s department is ACTUAL women! I can’t picture their products on my female body any longer so they lost my interest and purchase. Bye express!

Express has definitely lost its luster

I've been shopping at Express for years. Like, since the 90's. Over the past half decade, I've never been so spammed with price markdowns and clearance. Some materials even feel cheaper. Like they started allowing cheaper manufacturers to produce their goods.
My most recent experience has made me reconsider them as one of my go to's for a quick, stylish choice.
I purchased a pair of shoes from online. Before one hour passed, I contacted them to see if I could add my gift card to the purchase, or to just cancel and reorder. They told me I had to contact the distributor of the shoe to process a refund. Weird but ok. I contact the distributor, which I had to log in to my express account to see who it was, Journee Collection, who tells me it's too late and the order has been shipped. Frustrated but not the end of the world.
I then contact Express (email) to ask if I can return an online order to the store. The answer, yes. So that's what I do. I drive 20 minutes to the nearest Express, who then tells me I can't return this item to the store and that there should be a return label in the shoe box. Again frustrated. I drive back home and open the "never opened" shoe box to discover that no, there is no return label. (So Express, even your employees aren't fully aware of how to assist YOUR customers.) I then email Journee and ask how to return this item. They send me their address in Utah and inform me I would need to cover the shipment cost. What?! Seriously?! Never again Express. I'm done! Can't believe that this is where you are as a brand.
