Drive upto barriers and nothing happened ( Picture taken of nos plate on entry, should then allow Barrier to be raised on exit ) pressed help button, as screen showed £30 required.
Spoke to guy and told him that my 4hrs hadn't expired. He then opened the barrier.
So much for high tech equipment.
MAIN ISSUE IS :- PUT SOME ADVANCED SIGNS AS TO WHERE THE ENTRANCE IS !!!!!!!
Putting in the postcode in takes you to a road that is now changed for pedestrians !!
Guide vehicles in from the last few roundabouts.
Frustratingly BAD.

Had my bag stolen from Excel this week - in the Camden bar area on the concourse. Whilst the security team in my event were fantastic, and some Excel individuals tried to help, the Excel security protocol was beaurocratic and slow - more interested in box ticking than finding the thief using their many cameras whilst still on site. Wasted almost an hour waiting for the right people to tick the right boxes before checking cameras. Disappointing.

i was attending the London International horse show, and booked this hotel for its close proximety to the event, the room was very clean and spacious but the evening meal was absolutely superb, I was served at the reception and bar by Ty and James who could not do enough and were both very willing to share a chat and laugh the meal was a cauliflower curry, which was made from scratch, and tasted amazing, breakfast the next day was also amazing, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, especially being so close (8 minutes walk) from the Excel centre and a fraction of the cost of the bigger closer hotels, very well done travelodge, you have some great staff and and an amazing chef at this hotel.
£25 to park for 3 hours
£25 to park for 3 hours? Looking at other posts seems it costs that for a minute up to 24 hours, Jesus, how do they get away with that? No signage at entrance showing costs, never going here again, with car or otherwise

As a contractor working many times a year there where do I start parking £25 1hr or 24hrs outrageous unprofessional staffing, rubbish food outlets, very rude staff, doors locked, entrances closed off, exit gates out of action bringing vehicles to offload a chaos loading docks filthy & unorganized & as for the toilets filthy! Maybe it's OK when the shows are on! As contractors we work all over the globe & Excel is the worst exhibition centre of them all! The last place you would want to work as it's made hard to work there!
A large warehouse whose sole aim is to extract as much money from people that they possibly can!
I'm left feeling that I was mugged!
Entrance + the sneaky ''booking fee' tacked on the end,
Ludicrous parking charges,
Way, way overpriced 'food'
Sure, I'll recommend Excel to others. ... Recommend them to stay well away from the place!
Pre booked parking amendment
Pre booked parking here, since i was going to the passport office, needed to extend as my appointment was moved. There is no way of amending the booking and pay additional fees. So opted to call, and was passed on to parking control, who rudely said nothing I can do for you, speak to staff when you arrive about extending, but there is no guarantees and you will get a parking fine if you do not manage to extend you stay. I was like I’ve paid 16 pounds already i happy to pay the addition. I was met with a wall of silence and sorry we can’t amend bookings. How can a company operate like this in 2025 is beyond me. No information. Avoid like the Plague. Would give a zero because one star is doing them a favour.

Outrageous parking cost £25 even for 1-2 hours. This is a complete con, they do not advertise prices upon entry or anywhere near entry so you can easily change your mind. Excel Why can’t you be more transparent with your customers? BPA please intervene…
Parking Nightmare !
Went to an exhibition yesterday at the Excel. Arrived around 10.30 and there were no signs indicating where to go . Saw a sign for a different exhibition that was not on ! Nobody to direct or aid the flow of visitors. Stayed at the show for around 2 - 3 hours and having finished all that we wanted to do and see , we left to be greeted by a £25 parking charge ! NOBODY or Nothing suggested to us £25 for 3 hours parking on arrival or we would have parked in a local hotel.
Parking around the Excel is an utter…
Parking around the Excel is an utter joke, couple of guys in yellow jackets waving arms saying no parking but couldn't advise where we could park - surely first and most important part of training would be to tell people where they can park - utterly ridiculous and extremely stressful. Signage, or lack off, is a farce.
Parking directions an utter farce
Went to the Motorcycle Show today and finding the parking was an utter farce. Got to the venue only to be stopped by a man in hi vis and a barrier. He turned every single car around and sent them 'to the other side' of the venue. That's where it was clearly obvious there was no effort to actually show any directions and there were vehicles everywhere and no signage. For such a big venue I suggest they buy some diversion signs to help the public find the right area. It was just the same leaving the man with the barrier refused to let anyone through the barrier and just told us to turn around. I'd add there was no works traffic using that barrier and just one guy stopping the flow of traffic. Not impressed!!
F1 event at Excel London.
F1 event at Excel London.
I would like to start by saying that both my son and I enjoyed the exhibition. My son has additional needs (ABI) He sometimes finds it very difficult in busy confined spaces.
He absolutely loves cars of all kinds and was excited for this exhibition so based on this I booked the VIP Podium tickets for him because of the fast track/queue jump plus the “Limited edition tote bag”.
Now, this is where it all goes south!
The cost was £75.50 plus the booking fee of £7.55 as well s the parking of £25 we then had to pay extra for a 5 minute go of an arcade game totalling £125.05. If I had known at the time the contents of the tote bag “Limited edition” were available in the gift shop at a fraction of the price! The poster was an advert for the show the lanyard was a piece of card if I’m being honest the only thing my son was interested in was the pin badge. Oh, and there is nothing to actually queue jump at the exhibition except for the headphones as you first walk in. We could have done the whole day for half the price!
Real shame, the day was good but over shadowed by the extreme cost.
PARKING THERE IS EYE WATERINGLY COSTLY
PARKING THERE IS EYE WATERINGLY COSTLY! NO concession WHAT SO EVER even for disabled! SHAME GREEDY EXCEL! £25 for 5 hrs , money grows on Tree. For you people..
We are just back from Excel
We are just back from Excel. We booked a hotel that we were assured, when we phoned, was only 5 minutes away. It wasn't! The place is so big, and they are expanding it still further, so that if you are going to Excel, find out which side is closer to your hotel. As for the venue, it is huge, but the downside is that while there are lots of places to buy food, they all close so early that so you can't stop on and eat there or even buy a coffee.
I noticed the downstairs Business Centre, opposite S3, sold sweets and I went down and bought some and was short changed - as soon as I mentioned it he automatically gave me a £1 back - without checking the change he had given me - it was as though he knew what he had done.
The conference facilities are great, even when two events are going on at the same time, as it was this weekend, there is plenty of space and the place is kept very clean, including the toilets. The security men welcome you with a cheery 'hello' at the door but be aware, there is a lot of walking in Excel so if you are taking anyone older or with mobility problems be aware of this, but on the positive side, there are also lots of places where people can sit and rest.
Could do better
Went to the venue for the Disney 100 exhibition which was very good.
A few problems though.
Unfortunately my daughter is wheelchair bound so she booked disabled parking. There are roadworks close to the Excel and on a roundabout nearby it says that the road is closed going towards the venue ( though the sat nav was telling us to go up that way). After lots of driving back and forth we decided to try the road that was "closed" only to find that it was in fact open and we finally made it to the venue. Unfortunately the car park was not clearly marked. It was signposted as the overflow car park for (I think) the business next door. I then found the parking office and the (extremely helpful) member of staff set us in the right direction and we managed to get parked. There is also a height restriction on much of the car park so (having a transit custom WAV) we had to make sure we went into the entrance with enough headroom. When we disembarked the van we found that the wheelchair signage from the car park to the venue was pretty poor but when we made it to the entrance, the staff were excellent and directed us to where we needed to go.
So to the venue:
If the road to the venue isn't closed make sure signs say that it isn't closed.
Improve signage into and inside the carpark.
Finally. Does the venue really have to charge disabled vehicles 15 quid to park in a near empty car park. I can understand it if you are putting on a major event or concert. But on a fairly quiet Saturday afternoon????
All of your staff were excellent.
Do not park your car here
Do not park your car here - mine was stolen in one of the car parks they managed in the grounds.
This car park was manned by a security guard yet my vehicle was stolen within 2 hours of arrival.
Security team not very bothered with a manager who insists his team do a "brilliant job to deter crime" :(

I have just been to MCM Comicon at the Excel London. It is the first time I have ever been and I took my 17year old son who is autistic but was desperate to go to this exhibition. It was naturally a very busy environment but all in all we had a great time. I was particularly impressed with one member of staff who was there to help with accessibility whilst we were waiting for autographs with the sonic frontiers crew. The member of staff who assisted us was very kind & caring, we did have to queue like everyone else but the staff member patiently guided us through the process and made it effortless for my son who does not cope well in busy, crowded situations like that. I am now kicking myself for not getting the name of the staff member because he really did make all the difference for us I would like to thank you once again for everything you did on that day. It has given me the confidence to come with my son again. If you are that staff member and you're reading this, we were the Sonic & Tails duo 👍🏻
Very big and exclusive
the food at excel is not good at all but the actual exhibition building is amazing, really big
The food at pole bowl was the worst I had in my entire life
The food at pole bowl was horrible and very expensive for the amount of food. I had roasted salmon with black rice. The staff was already bored at 12pm and you could feel how unhappy were they to be there.
It was by far the worst food I ever had.
I’m sorry I can’t add pictures to show the amount of the food for which I paid £11.50.
Resident not impressed!
Hello. I live right next door and walk past on my way to Custom House Liz line however whenever there is an event, local residents have to suffer it's irritating. I don't care about your VIP guests, I need to be able to get to work and home without having to get caught in queues, mixing with strangers, or having to do long detours. Sort it out please.
