Joe was very polite and helpful, and micheal helped me with my app on my phone ,all staff go out there way to help you with any issues you have thanks in advance 👍 😉.

Do not take your baby or young child here!!

After booking the only family swimming slot today we walked into ear deafening club music being blasted at 10.30am in the morning the entire time, my son clung to me covering his ears the entire time. There was no notice or way of knowing this when you booked the slot online.

When we tried to leave a group of school kids came in for the lesson, they pushed past us and took every baby changing room and even adults shut the baby change doors on my infant 1 year olds face, members of staff and the school staff watched and awkwardly and did nothing. It took 20 minutes and a nice random elder lady to hold open a baby change door and shout for us.

When we finally got inside the baby change room it was nothing lile the one we used on the way in, there was no water or handwash facility unlike the first and the room was also smaller. It was just a red plastic table with a small indent for a baby and a hole in the middle.

When my child had a accident I was left in a small room with urine puddling on the floor bellow us and nothing to help me wash my child. I managed to wrap up all my things and move the the ONLY baby changing stall with running water then quickly leave.

Having 1 decent baby change room and 6 other basic rooms is not okay.
Staff members and school staff watching as children and adults selfishly take baby change rooms because of the bigger size and push and shut doors in our face is not okay.

Never bring your infant here.

Really love using these centres and I especially like that I'm able to use a combination of those in the local area - I use Hetton, Houghton and Silksworth regularly but I also sometimes go to the Aquatic centre as they have a 50m pool. I think the pricing is really fair and the new equipment in Hetton and Silksworth is great. Some issues around lanes and swimming times at Hetton and sometimes it isn't as clean as I would like, but overall really good value for money. I also pay for a private PT who works at these centres and that experience has been great - Robyn is sensible and sensitive to your needs but challenges you and keeps you going.

Also - the staff on Reception/management staff are really decent people and lovely to chat to.

Nice clean pool with good temperature maintained.

A depressing place to swim now the windows are covered and no natural light,also no music.Come on every one active openthe place to some pleasant light

My first visit to the Hetton Centre for 27 years and couldn't have been better. All the staff were excellent from reception to the young gentleman who helped me set up my membership and the pool staff.

Hetton Pool and fitness centre is an excellent venue for adults and children. I love going there for my classes

I find Hetton centre ok as it’s local to me but I do find that there needs to be a larger car park at the front of the centre as it’s difficult to park .i also find there is to many swimmers in lane swimming.there should be about 6 at a time as it’s too slow to swim and there is not enough space btween swimmers .other than that the place itself is good .

I've been going to the gym and swim now for nearly 3 weeks, the staff and the pt's are very helpful, plenty of equipment to use and very clean, I love going down 10/10

Visited Hetton centre with my disabled husband. Excellent wheelchair facilities. Help with the hoist. Excellent customer service! Lovely and clean. Would highly recommend

A really clean, well-managed and accessible place to try and stay active.

I enjoy using the gym at Hetton the staff are always friendly and happy to help at the main desk at reception. It would be better if the exercise machines had access to the internet especially YouTube. I’m not sure why Hetton gym does not as other Everyone Active facilities I have accessed do. There also isn’t much floor space to do stretches or floor work. Only a tiny small area to the far side of the gym. You don't see many staff actually in the gym on a Saturday. Sometimes their isn’t many people in the gym but if anyone was to have an accident etc not sure if the staff would even notice. Would be nice to see a personal training group take place to or something happening more on a weekend.
