Please don’t go here- this gym is horrific. Constantly packed and equipment is hardly up to any standard. I’ve been at Queen’s Park gym for 5 years and going from that to here was like going from a 5 star hotel to a youth shelter. And Queen’s Park isn’t even that nice. When I was signing up, I told them I only wanted to pay for one month and that’s it because I want to see how it goes and they said I could do that. Now I’m not allowed to cancel until I’ve paid for next month?? Money sucking vampires. Don’t even use the money for the gym evidently as all the equipment is worn and inefficient. Don’t waste your time on this place 🙏

Gym in Shirebrook is good, shame no swimming pool and sauna but always clean. People fairly friendly which for introvert I dont want people talking to me anyway so win/win. Staff alway friendly and helpful, great protein shakes if you fancy something better. Definitely would recommend to anyone as big selection of equipment. As everywhere else afternoon is really busy

Back in Shirebrook for a few weeks due to moving house and waiting for our new house to be ready. Brought my 17 yr old son who loves the gym and misses our one in our home town. They've let him join on a student rate, pro rata so he has daily access to this for the fortnight, which has delighted us both. At a snip.
Staff couldn't do enough, got a very quick call-back for my online query and when we joined did a lot for us.

Agree, it's very dark, very loud and I wouldn't put up with this for too long, but in terms of flexibility, friendliness, custom care, general nice, supportive atmosphere, for our particular situation, it's 100% satisfaction.

The gym it's self is good. However a culture of leaving weights, on equipment. Or just over the floor. They even put the sizes of the dumbbells on the weight rack. That too beyond many. Staff try, poor gym etiquette.

It's says to be honest helpful and constructive...oh I will!
At one time I would have given this gym 5 stars...but now if I could give a 0 I would.
Atmosphere and great customer service is key! This gym isn't welcoming like it used to be around 3/4 years ago. There are a few nice staff here but others are clearly making the reception unapproachable. I want to say I was sad to know Lee the cleaner wasn't around but I understand he's back now and making a difference again. He's brilliant and has a great atitude along with Claire and Joanne who always worked well together but sadly Joanne is off sick both have great customer skills along with a few others.
The general welcoming is now non existant which is a shame as it was brilliant at one time.
I've seen alot of staff come and go over the years due to bad atmosphere!
The equipment is good and I guess the price isn't bad either.
Who decided to black the original windows? It depressing!
You can't hear your own music through earphones over the extremely loud music...which is rubbish..health and safety issue...due so only so many decibels?
How could you change this? Err well if you can get sooty with his magic wand to lend a hand you might get lucky but I doubt it!

I've been at this gym since it opened, hard to complain because the price is unbeatable and the equipment is excellent. The gym is clean and staff friendly
There are only 3 things I would change :
1. Change the air conditioning or set it correctly,the air conditioning does not maintain a constant temperature, it only cools the room, making certain parts of the gym simply too cold to exercise.
2. There are 2 doors to the changing room but none to the toilet so if someone is using the toiled heavily rest of the people in the changing room will try to escape really quickly
3. Design - I don't know who designed this gym this way. Blocking out the daylight and painting the walls black, making this gym a depressing dungeon, but definitely deserves a special place in hell for that :-)

Apart from these 3 facts, it is a really good gym

Trying to cancel my membership after they tripped the price, there's no option to do it online (even though they claim there is) I've emailed the gym I go to directly and the customer service email and had nothing back. Making it difficult to leave should be illegal.

After years of going to Everlast gym in Shirebrook training 3-4 classes early morning b4 work. They have now taken all the classes off.

Absolutely disgusting & very disappointing, cannot keep good staff..

Love this gym. A welcoming atmosphere and a friendly team of staff with great classes that push you hard. Which is what you want from a good gym.

Absolutely fantastic, staff are amazing, don’t know what they put in the water but the pump is unreal, BOOOOSH!!

Excellent gym !! All modern equipment and machines with plenty for everyone to use so always something free even when it’s busy. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Favourite part is the classes, specially hustle !!
