Poor communication. Poor vehicle quality. I didn't feel valued.
Improve your communication, take the time to care about your vehicle s and customer s going forward. Details are important. Just because im a trades person buying a used van done make me feel like im less important than someone buying a used car on your finance package s ( because you get extra commission from finances) care about your job and youll automatically do it better. My experience is still ongoing so maybe I'll see some improvement

I am extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing a vehicle from Evans Halshaw. The car I received was not as described, and I feel I was misled by the information provided before agreeing to the purchase.

I was told the annual road tax would be £200, and this was one of the reasons I decided to proceed with buying the vehicle. I later found that the information I was given was inaccurate. Other details about the vehicle were also incorrect, including the mileage compared with the advertisement and the claim that the car had a tailgate opening button, which it does not.

The dealership took around two weeks to provide the vehicle. When I collected the car, the engine warning light was already illuminated on the dashboard on the day of collection. This immediately raised concerns for me, as I expected the vehicle to have been properly checked and prepared before handover.

The condition of the vehicle at collection was also unacceptable. It was dirty, covered in scratches, had no floor mats, no boot cover, and the driver’s side air conditioning was not working. I took photographs immediately after collecting the vehicle to document its condition.

I contacted Evans Halshaw on the first day of having the car to make it clear that I did not want to keep the vehicle because I had lost confidence in it due to the issues already identified. Unfortunately, they have made the process of returning the car extremely difficult, leaving me having to escalate my complaint to MotoNovo Finance and the Financial Ombudsman Service.

For a large dealership, I expected honesty, accurate information, and a vehicle that had been properly inspected before being sold. Instead, I have been left dealing with multiple problems that should have been resolved before the vehicle was handed over.

I would advise anyone considering purchasing from Evans Halshaw to check every detail carefully, inspect the vehicle thoroughly, and not rely solely on the information provided by the dealership.

Perfectly managed recall. A Software issue that we were not even aware of had developed, we were informed and tge issue was sorted promptly. Staff are efficient, freindly and proffesional.

Found a car we loved and said we would like to buy, put a reserve of £200 on it as had kid's and dog with us so it was difficult to test drive. Was phoned to say there was a warning light on the car and did we want to take the reserve off, as they had not said what the warning light was we said no, we would see what the problem was. The next day they rang to say it was a major engine fault that would cost too much and that it was going into auction. We were very suspicious as the car engine had been prepped with no issues before we viewed it. I watched the government website for car tax and found the car has been taxed
, I don't think this would be something the company would do for a car going into auction. I think we were lied to and the car was sold to someone else. Not illegal but immoral in our opinion. I would not recommend this company in Nottingham.

Communication was good, but that's what you should receive from anywhere you visit as a customer.

Was able to book in at short notice and problem was rectified.
