Very disappointed with my recent experience at Ford Walsall. I specifically requested a full pre-MOT inspection so that any issues could be identified and fixed before the MOT, but the vehicle still initially failed because the headlamp needed adjustment—something that should have been picked up beforehand. The MOT also recorded a defective front wiper blade, yet it wasn't repaired or replaced before my vehicle was returned. When I queried this at reception, I was promised a callback that never came. I chose Ford because I expected a professional and thorough service, but this experience fell well below those expectations. I hope someone from the management team contacts me to explain what went wrong and how this will be put right.

I called the service department to check a service history on a car that I was about to buy, a lady called Francine took her time to diligently check the history for me and was really pleasant and excellent throughout.
I had no sales or financial interaction with the company, only an enquiry and they acted perfectly

I bought a car in September 2025, from the start this was a nightmare of a purchase. once they had received funds, nothing else seemed to matter.
The car delivery was shocking leaving the car with no keys on my driveway. The electric car had no charger, no matts no boot cover.
I was sent out a charger and boot cover - no matts.
I complained about the noise the breaks made to which they took it in for service,- eventually as Wakefield which were closest to me were extremely rude and evidently didn't want to take the car in. therefore it had to go to the original branch. This alone was distressing enough.
They said they would send me financial compensation due to the trouble and costs incurred while not having the car for over 2 weeks. However they re delivered the car and ghosted me. The breaks still made the same loud noise id mentioned. I've had the first MOT and it nearly failed the MOT. Advisory: service break imbalance requirements only just met. It would appear the breaking systems requires adjustment/repair.
In terms of consumer rights as this isn't something which would incur within 6 months ownership and would have been present at the time of sale i am entitled to repair or refusal of the car. However my Jon.Lowe ( Christopher Lowe) has said that as it is an advisory this isn't included in my consumer rights, which is false.

Brought a used ford, and they sent me off with a nail in one of the tyres, which was then found to be barely above legal minimum. This despite knowing I had a significant journey home. The tyre pressure sensors were indicating a problem on test drive, and they were trying to get me to top up the air myself on the way home, and were very pushy about the tyre insurance 'just in case you get a puncture'. Obviously cannot prove that they knew about this, but the 140 point check should have shown this up, never mind that they had moved the car for me to test drive, and could see the warning light for themselves.
I have received neither the promised refund from the dealership for the replacement tyre, nor have I heard anything back from evans halshaw customer service. Serves me right for thinking that a big brand would do right by their customers.

I called about a used car on Autotrader and made it clear from the start that I could only test drive and buy at the weekend. I was encouraged to pay a £100 reservation fee, which I was assured was fully refundable if I didn’t like the car or couldn’t make it in.
After nearly a week of communication, I was suddenly told they don’t do weekend handovers—meaning I couldn’t actually buy the car on the only days I was available. I asked for my refund. It took almost two days to get a reply, offering a vague “should” be able to do a handover on his day off. By then I’d found a local car I could collect on Saturday, so I declined and asked again for my refund. No response.
I called the dealership and was told the manager would sort it. Nine working days later, still nothing. I chased again, emailed the manager directly, and only then—late that night—received an automated refund confirmation. No apology, no explanation, no acknowledgement.
If I hadn’t chased three times, they’d have kept my money. Awful service, and I won’t consider them again. If weekend handovers aren’t possible, why not say so upfront—especially when I’d been clear from the beginning? A complete waste of time.

Sells team try to do their best (5 stars for them) but the mechanical condition on some cars , especially for which i wanted to buy (Alfa Romeo Gulia) was critical for 60+ k miles car 2017 .. with glued/ siliconed front bumper , oil leaks around engine bay , hoses from radiator holds on zip ties x 6 (whic they said its normal - no its not , should be brackets doing that job) … loosed clamps .. not to mention that there was no sign of being serviced , just stamps on the service book … and all that for 14k was really disappointed because speaking for myself like car lover , fixing cars not a full time mechanic, ex valeter and all that crap around most of the dealerships is just not acceptable. Looking for a good car for the money from around 3 months and will keep looking somewhere like small privet run business companies.
And yea , check the cars before signing any contracts for less headaches in future (open the bonnet, checks for leak , test drive the car!)

I met Graham this past week for a car that I was interested in purchasing on a PCP deal. Graham was very knowledgable on the car, and he clearly explained the each of the agreements and services that they offer, so I was able to make a well-informed decision. When I came to collect the car, there were issues with paperwork, however Graham and his manager went above and beyond to make sure that the paperwork got approve in time before they closed! This meant that I could take the car there and then rather that having to come back another day. Thank you for your help and service and I love my new car.

The sales team are amazing, they will help you decide which car to purchase at your own pace. Graham in particular helped me a lot.
However, once the car was purchased and started experiencing squeaking with the brakes it has been a nightmare. You wait weeks for an appointment, the car is then with them all day even if you deliver it at 8 AM. I had the car with them 4 days in total, on 4 separate occasions and the issue is still ongoing 6 months later. Even after paying extra for the full warranty package.
I've also requested a part 2 months ago and I've had no update from anyone at the dealership regarding it since then.

Bought a used car from evans halshaw walsall in sept,I've had several problems with the car ,(all fixed at my wakefield branch.who did excellent professional job.)whilst under warranty.
As its now out of its warranty walsall no longer accepts any responsibility even though under the consumer act 2015 the are still responsible as its within 6months.there argument is all cars are inspected before sale so its not there problem .how ever my previouse 3 problems were also inspected and they accepted responsibility.under there logic if car is inspected before hand your car could not possibly of had a faulty part.under the creditwhat is the point of a law if this company can side step it.

The worst experience I have ever had when purchasing a vehicle. Purchased a car that was faulty when sold, reported within 5 days. 12 Months down the line they are still avoiding the issue, very bad communication issues. They have now had the vehicle twice, given back as fixed and the vehicle is very much the same. If you get any issues with a vehicle purchased here be prepared that you will have to escalate this further as they will avoid any issue resolution in house. If you want to purchase a car from a company in which you have to chase daily for a simple response then they are the one for you.

I recently purchased a vehicle from this branch. From week 1 the engine management light appeared on the dash. 3 months down the line and problem still hasn’t been sorted. They said they’re not available to repair my car until January (4 months after purchase) which means I am without a car which means I cannot go travel to work or attend to my pregnant girlfriend. The car is not driveable as the engine has completely gone.. Evans halshaw havent been helpful with trying to sort the problem or offer me a courtesy car as I cannot travel. This is completely unacceptable
