I’ve just bought a car here, and the entire process from the first meeting to driving away was lovely and seamless. I can’t thank Joanne enough, she was very friendly, personable, always contactable - I even knew her days off so I knew when I could reach her. She responded to any enquiries promptly and I felt so at ease the entire time - cars really aren’t my thing, but that didn’t matter and she made sure I understood everything. Couldn’t recommend her/the garage enough 😊

Awful experience with Ford Darlington
Booked my van is for repairs which took 6 months! When I went in to collect my van with a bill just under £4000 they failed to inform me about a major issue which meant the van could not be used! I explained that if I had been informed about the fault I would never had given the go ahead with the other work they did! As a result they van had to be sold for parts! Which left me with no work vehicle and a large loss financially Communication was terrible I had to go through 5/6 different members of staff to get answers and when I came face to face with the man dealing with the situation he came out from the back and walked straight past me to say sorry I finish at 5 can’t do anything about it!
I wanted to use Ford as it was a Ford van and felt like I could trust them to carry out a good job! I couldn’t be more wrong! Shocking service on every level!

John Fletcher was our salesman and he was professional and helpful throughout. Nothing was too trouble. He explained everything we needed to know, and went the extra mile. We are delighted with our new car.

BAD BAD BAD
Right so I’ve had a van from Evans Halshaw and up to now commercial sales have been great. The problem is it’s not fit for purpose and the dealings with service and the department on the other side is horrendous, Adele in service is asking if I want to re use the old oil that’s been taken out and re use this on a new timing belt, this would shorten the life on the new timing wet belt especially if the old one has started to perish and left debris in the sump and pick up pipe and strainer Now they just phoned again to see if I want them to catch the coolant and re use this !! I’m fully expecting them to call and say we’re going to re use the old timing belt now. All pulleys and tensioners and water pump will be extra next. I’ll update this review when the final outcome has been delivered. They give you a quote then try up the cost by saying the job they quoted for wasn’t on the quote. God help their future customers. By the way this isn’t the sales its service across the way. Terrible customer care!! So I get a call from Martin who said my van is ready at 16.15 saying we close at 17.30 and I live 85 miles away. Thanks for thinking of the customer!! And still have to put an MOT on the van ( saying we didn’t know that ) just goes to show what kind of company they are and the high calibre of staff !!! So I pick the van up today to take it for a mot and it failed on an excessive oil leak on the work I’ve just had done there 2 hours previously. I’d certainly think twice before dealing with the service side of this incompetent company

Assessing my situation, trying to piece things together to try and get my car fixed at very short notice.
Front desk staff working with mechanics constantly reviewing things to update and coordinating other jobs at the same time.
Very professional team - they are the best.

The guy that came and picked my car up was polite friendly and remembered me from the last time he picked up my car he even asked about my dog that makes it feel like you are more than a customer

I have been a long standing customer, buying cars from this garage and servicing using EMAC scheme.
At the last service I paid out much more than I should, I still had to go to another garage and get something else put right that they had missed.It was only on collecting my car I was informed that I could get a discount for being on the scheme.
Took it back for a MOT last week and they failed it on the management light coming on, it wasn’t on the way there or home.They then wanted more and more money from me, no care for being a long serving customer, since Citroen left the garage and it’s only Ford, the staff just dismiss everything. I was watched from behind the glass panel by a man, whilst the lady on the desk was seeing to me, I think to see what I was going to do as they knew I wasn’t happy at all.
I have had to spend even more money taking it to another garage to get it put right at a more affordable rate.
I was warned by many not to go to Evans Halshaw, but as I was tied into the scheme I kept going.
Very disappointed.

The people, the service and competitive prices make Evans Halshaw my first port of call for all my motoring requirements.

No courtesy car ,husband took a day off to be told the part had been damaged by the staff last time it went in ,no manager call back 3 times I called to speak to him shocking service never buy a car off Evans Halshaw Complaint logged with head office they can have the car back

Stacey Chambers is a credit to your company. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She answered all my questions and had the patience of a saint. Went through everything with me.

John the salesman made the process of changing my vehicle, easy and enjoyable, he looks after all the paperwork.
