Evans Halshaw at Whitebirk in Blackburn is great. The staff are friendly and.professional and put your needs first. They look after their customers, giving them a quiet place to wait, complete with TV and free brews. I can't fault the work I've had done on my car and they even clean it for you too

From start to finish a pleasant efficient experience

Turned up this morning to buy a car what I had reserved! Jayson came out to help us , he was excellent from start to finish , what a great young salesman, credit to the company !! My own fault about today was I asked to test drive the car and it had no fuel , but it wasn’t a problem at jayson when and got some !! He could of filled it up 🤣🤣

I came to Blackburn Evans Halshaw with my friend today as she had seen a car online and had reserved it, with a view to test driving it. Jayson was very helpful, personable and knowledgeable about the car. I should mention that the car had zero petrol in it and he needed to take it to put some fuel in before my friend could test drive it. (We’ve heard from a lot of used car garages recently that very few people want to test drive the car before buying it 😳 so we can’t really complain!) He made the whole experience of buying the car very easy and he was a pleasure to deal with.

We have just purchased a car from Jayson. From the moment we came in he was extremely friendly, welcoming and we found him very knowledgeable which put our minds at ease when buying our son his first car. A real asset to the dealership

My experience with Evans Halshaw Preston was a masterclass in how to turn a car purchase into a nightmare. Their salesman was a smooth talker who hawked every warranty under the sun, but conveniently forgot to mention the ticking time bomb under the hood (or in this case, a faulty battery).

Two weeks in, my car needed constant jump starts, and the start-stop function went kaput. Their "helpful" solution? A long wait for a diagnostic appointment, two days before the warranty expired – with the added bonus of them potentially denying coverage and blaming it on wear and tear!
When the car finally died completely (only 2.5 months in) leaving me stranded and begging for roadside assistance, Evans Halshaw couldn't have cared less. Their Blackburn branch offered zero help, and signposted me to speak to Preston who "kindly" squeezed me in – a whopping three weeks later! By then, of course, the warranty would be conveniently out of the picture.
Instead of enduring their bureaucratic nightmare, I took matters into my own hands. A quick trip to a local garage, a new battery, and £180 later, my car was purring like a kitten. Start-stop function? Back in action. Evans Halshaw's warranty? A complete sham.

When you start mentioning your woes to your friends and family, the skeletons start creeping out of the closet and the various horro stories (hidden out of embarrassment) come to light.

"Oh, you didnt fall for Evans Halshaw did you?" and "They're the biggest scammers in the motor industry" and "I had to pay so many thousands myself because Evans Halshaw wouldn't."

This is just one story among those countless others. If you're looking for a car dealership that prioritizes used car salesmanship over customer service, Evans Halshaw is your perfect pit stop. Otherwise, steer clear! Don't be fooled by their empty promises – their after-sales service is a joke. They deserve to be investigated for fraudulent practices and shut down for good.

Adam has been brilliant. I reached out after purchasing my last two cars with Ford, and dealt on both occasions with Adam, went above and beyond for a smooth transition, so was a no brainer to reach back out to get another car with Ford and contact Adam.

Once again a smooth transition from start to finish, transition was very quick and effective, clear advice with clarity. A lot of paperwork taking care of, smooth process online with finance company and all Clearly explained in relation to tax, MOT etc.

On day of exchange, jay handed the car over smoothly and was very attentive, running through the key elements of the car, additionally Craig kindly ran through Ford pass with me and helped me install and set up the new car. A very quick process from start to finish, all staff involved went above and beyond, would recommend to anyone.

Evans Halshaw Blackburn is my "go to" for a new car. This time I was guided through the choosing and buying process by Asad. Asad was very helpful, polite and professional, and if he did not know the answer to any of my queries, he went off to find out the answer there and then.

The worst car buying experience I have ever had.
I Bought a car and was told it had full service history, but it turns out it didn’t have any history.
I was told it was in the glove box, then it was online, then it was at a different dealership and then there was no history and the car was sold with no history.
Car has also been back to garage on 4 occasions for the same fault.
