Evans Halshaw - Ford Batley Recensioni 

I had ordered a used car from Evans Halshaw Batley, when we arrived it was very dirty and the salesman said it had been valeted, on inspection of the car he sent it back to be cleaned again and to touch some paint marks up, when it returned it still wasn't as expected, the paint touch up looked like it had been painted on with white nail Polish, I still saw dirty marks on the car which could have been easily cleaned off with a good valet, I asked the manager to come outside and see if it was at an acceptable level, he had a very rude and blaize attitude saying it was age related, I told him that the photo on their website wasn't age related because the car had been photo shot with another car. I would definitely not recommend Evans Halshaw and the service I received was definitely unacceptable.

DO NOT BUY! 3 MONTH WARRANTY ONLY COVERS £500 OF ISSUES, BE CAREFUL!!!
Update: Still no response from them emailing below, also they are not registered with the Motor Ombudsman!
Bought a VW Up in June 2024, and heard a rattling noise, squeaky brakes, broken door speaker and a knock from the suspension on the way home from Bately.
Made multiple attempts to contact Batley the following weeks but no response. Managed to get booked in at Preston Evans Halshaw but they said they could only diagnose the car 1 and a 1/2 months later.

The diagnosis stated that the car repair could mean a gearbox and brake refurb which was priced up to cost well over the value of the car.

Preston branch kept stating they couldn’t get any responses from Bately but assured me that it would be sorted and I should continue to use the car as normal. They said I would get a hire car when repaired and there would be NO CHARGES.

Weeks later I managed to get through to Bately to ONLY be offered £500 towards a repair or replace it for another car WITHOUT a test drive and I have to pay 45p PER MILE since owning the car, if I want a car of the same value. NOT FROM WHEN I REPORTED THE ISSUE.

I’ve asked repeatedly for the material that states there is only £500 covered in the warranty, as this wasn’t in the contract I signed but all requests have been ignored.

Preston have said that they have too many cars in for gearbox issues and that I have to try and contact Batley myself. I was told that any issues could be sorted at any Evans Halshaw branch. THIS IS NOT THE CASE.

So now I will be losing money on a car that had issues from the day I drove it home. The only incentive to buy from Evans Halshaw was the warranty that I was told would cover any issues and that’s proved worthless and even at a cost to me.

Will be continuing to work on getting a solution to this.

Everyone I dealt with when buying my New Ford Kuga made the exsperience easy and stress fee. The guys i spoke to were very knowledgable with all the questions which I asked . On taking the delivery of the car it surpassed all expectations and made my good lady wife a very happy person, after all she will be using it the most .

My wife was looking for a new car and we arranged to test drive one at Evans Halshaw, Batley. The experience was was great and although we didn't end up purchasing a car here, John the salesman was superb. Very friendly, honest and knowledgeable and nothing was to much trouble, even when we decided we didn't want to go ahead and purchase the vehicle. I wish all dealership sales people were like this.

Service from start to finish from start to finish has been excellent, coming from me who wanted a dream car who lived 400 mile away and didnt have the means to go visit the batley team i was delighted and overwhelmed at the service this team provided to reassure and help me buy my Hyundai Tucson. team are very knowledgeable and very helpful.

I especially give thanks to the teams and there manager communication it has really helped and help me make the decision so much easier once car was at my house even the service driver went through things and any queries / information i needed the manager has been second to none all round great service ..

Under no circumstances should you buy a car from this dealer
They have no after sales service at all.
I wrote a review highlighting 4 issues two weeks today. The next day I received an EMail. Stating they take all complaints seriously and a manager would be in touch.
Suprise Suprise no one has been in contact.
If you have any issues with your car they will NOT sort them out. You will get better service from a back street car dealer.

ITS BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE I WAS ADVISED THAT MY COMPLAINT WAS WITH THE MANAGEMENT TRAM AND THEY WOULD CONTACT ME SHORTLY.

I have received excellent customer service from both John and Danny at Evans Halshaw-Batley. The process was easy from start to finish.

Buying this 2020 Hyundai car from Evans Halshaw Batley, has been one of the most regrettable decisions of my life. If I could have my time over again, I would have steered well clear of this branch.
Having bought my last car from Evans Halshaw in Darlington and being completely satisfied with it, I thought I would get similar treatment from Batley.

There were several problems with the car when I viewed it which the salesman promised would be sorted before collection.
Problems included scratches & dings to the bodywork, marks on the alloy wheels. Promise of a spare ignition key as only one was supplied.
I wanted to collect the car at the beginning of the month but the salesman wanted it collecting by the end of the previous month. To facilitate this, he agreed to deliver the car himself at no cost. (I suspect the reason was commission based).

When he delivered the car, none of the promised problems had been fixed. This included the free car care kit for taking the body care protection even though I had reminded him earlier.
On checking the car interior, I noticed a peculiar smell which I have been unable to remove in spite of trying many different methods. The engine compartment was filthy dirty. The tyre pressure monitoring system warning light was permanently on. This was due to a leaky valve seating on the tyre rim caused by corrosion. There’s a seat bolt missing and it appears I will have to pay for a spare ignition key in spite of being promised one.

I have twice asked for an invoice confirming I have paid in full but the request has been ignored.
I've previously contacted the branch but my complaint has been ignored. It seems that once they have your money, they are no longer interested in you.
