I bought a car from evans halshaw 12 weeks ago. Since then it has broken down 3x this car is a 2021 plate. I have been stranded at the side of the road two times because of this car. The car arrived delivered to my house with no matts or parcel shelf which I was the told to source myself. I have attempted to deal with this with the garage however they have said they will only repair and not fix. Last night I was driving along the motorway and the car completely cut out. I had no power. With to young small children in the car this was very scary and dangerous. I believe these problems are all linked, the first time it broke down I had no power and was advised it was just a battery issue, however the same issue has now happened three times. The car was check over by RAC who advised they believe it was an issue with the motherboard which was preset on purchase. This report has been sent to evans halshaw however nothing has been done. I wanted to hand this car back to simply pay off the finance. I am a single mum working in the NHS. I bought a car from what I assumed was a reputable garage however this has turned out to be my worst nightmare. I am going to be left with an unsafe car that I have no confidence in driving now it has broken down 3 times. I would have hope better from this garage. Avoid avoid avoid

Poor Service
I bought a used car from Evans Halshaw in September, unfortunately whatever chemicals they used to clean the car made me sick,I told them this the day after I drove it home. They told me not to worry and gave me a deodoriser stating - "the deodoriser should return the car to a neutral smell once the chlorine smell goes away - the car will need to be aired for a couple of days for that to go away". I did exactly what they told me and that made things so much worse! I had to use Ubers to get around because I couldn't even sit in the car 10 days later. They did try cleaning it again but it made absolutely no difference. This is after keeping all of the windows open daily. Evans have a 14 day no quibble money back guarantee, I asked to return the within the time frame only to be told that if I want to return the car I can only part exchange it and I will lose a lot of money on it! I have sent them email after email with copies of my request within the time frame only to be told Management will get in touch. It's November I still have a car that I don't want that I can barely drive, thankfully the smell has got a lot better so I can sit in it for 30 mins without getting too ill. But I can't drive any long distance in it. After service?? Customer Care?? I don't know what else I can do now?

Had a very positive experience at Evans Halshaw in Altrincham. Ian was very helpful he even came to work on his day off so I could test drive the car. I liked the car and we sealed the deal. No pressure no hard sell just a pleasant experience as always. This is the fourth car I have bought from them.

I find Evans Halshaw very good at providing a profssional servicle. Staff are very undestanding and pleasant to a custimers needs.

Dropped off my car Friday evening has it was in first thing Saturday morning for mot and service...I've been a customer with them for many years now so when I walked in they new my name without me even having to give it to them which is a nice personal touch....my car was ready on time on the Saturday too..washed and vacuumed...and the guy who was looking after me was nice too..so happy days all round.....
