Amazing customer service
I went to Ernest Jones to ask if they could adjust my watch for me as I got it as a birthday present. It was my first watch so I didn’t know much about how it should fit on my wrist but the employee was lovely and answered my questions and explained to me what she would recommend. The adjustment took less than 5 minutes which I was really surprised at, but was grateful for the fast service. Overall the workers were really lovely, and the service provided by them was amazing. Would definitely recommend. I was even wished a happy birthday which topped the service for me!

*MUST READ* Worst Experience EVER!
MUST READ* !!!!! I was fooled by the great reviews and the brand name of Ernest Jones but frankly this one of the most embarrassing moments of my life and even made worse by the disappointment of my partner.
I bought a diamond ring with 18K white gold and on proposal I quickly realised that the ring was way too loose, even though a previous ring sizing was done. I then called and was told I could get a ring resized and it would come in two days. I went into the store to get the most accurate ring size and was met by a colleague who said we couldn’t get a new ring and would have to get the current ring resized because it had scratches and smudges on it. We would also have to wait 3 weeks to get a new ring. I was shocked because my partner had only worn the ring once and took it off 5mins later when she realised it was loose as she didn’t want to lose it. Imagine spending thousands on an item only to be told there’s marks on it.
I had asked her to show me another ring in the store and you wouldn’t believe it but it also had smudges and marks on it too! A brand new item, imagine the horror. The lady that served me was truly incompetent but we can accredit this too the poor quality goods that they are selling. She also embarrassed me by showing my partner how much I had spent on the item with no regards to privacy. I felt this was a special moment ruined. This was done purposefully, as there was no need to turn the payment screen to me as it didn’t show any info that she didn’t already inform us of. I did not feel welcomed! It’s a shame because other colleagues in the store treated me like a human being and with respect. I was treated as a peasant, an animal and like a person that didn’t deserve nice things. I will go as far in saying that it was racism.
Please just go to another jewellery shop because Ernest Jones will disappoint and ridicule you. I will be taking my money elsewhere and escalating this to the highest heights. The lady that served me should not be allowed to serve others and treat people like this. It’s not right You have been warned!!!!

Bad experience…
My wife bought me a signet ring for our 50th wedding anniversary,at 3 months old the stone the stone started to deteriorate,at 6 months old it started to break up,because the ring was of sentimental value I have worn the ring around 6 times for best.I returned it to Ernest Jones and 3 weeks later was told it was my fault and would cost £240 to replace stone,I am in my 70s on a pension,what makes it worst is I couldnt have gone any more careful, thankyou Ernest Jones the £240 is totally out of my reach

Put watch in for service and battery replacement and was quoted an estimated time of around 4 months. After this time contacted them again to find out what’s happened and found out they hadn’t looked at it and were ordering parts that would take another 2 months! Terrible service especially when it’s costing around £1K! First class price, but third class service

They are liars and very deceitful
They are liars and very deceitful. We went to purchase a ring. After the assistant had told me I had fat fingers (I have arthritis in my fingers) My size wasnt there so the assistant checked with the manager and said they could get a ring in from another store and resize it. We were there on Monday and they assured us it would be with us by Wednesday.
We have just been in to pick it up and were told they cancelled the order because they couldn't find a ring. No phone call or email.
They had already taken our money and insurance was paid for 3 years. We're had no idea this had happened. This was supposed to be a 65th birthday present. Now there is no chance of getting one for 3rd March. So upset and very disappointed.
I left the shop feeling a freak (fat fingers) and very upset.
We will never shop there again. I encourage people yo boycot the Reading store

We attempted to return it today as being ‘not fit for purpose’ but the sales person advised that there was nothing she could do. (She apparently referred this matter to the store manager to see if it could be exchanged.) The stars are for the watch which is very nice but the three negatives should really be five given the stores complete negativity)

Avoid at all costs!
If you want your jewellery repaired, steer clear of this company. An absolute joke and one of the worst customer experiences I have had. None of the in-store staff have a clue what they are doing, they are rude and lie as well, this has been my experience. Just got my wife's engagement ring back after three months! No work was carried out on it because it took them two months to give me a price, then when I asked some questions about exactly what was being done but no-one could provide an answer. Incredibly frustrating and there is obviously a severe lack of training in this company. In store staff seem to have no clue what the workshop do and the workshop communicate poorly with the store. Ernest Jones, get your act together. I got the ring back and the same day took it to a local jewellers with an in-house workshop who were brilliant. They answered my questions easily and the price was the same as Ernest Jones too. It's taught me a lesson and I'm glad I'm supporting a local business who believe in customer service.

I lost a diamond my engagement ring…
I lost a diamond my engagement ring after 4 years of wearing. I just picked it up after a repair (£230) on Monday and the diamond has come out again (lost) it’s Tuesday!!!!
I will be going into the store tomorrow and am not willing to pay for the repair.

Deeply dissapointed with Ernest Jones…
Deeply dissapointed with Ernest Jones to find out that after buying an engagement ring from them, after six months of usage the inside part of the ring has gotten chipped away, and when I told them about it they only said the warranty covers the falling of stones but not the chipping part, which is covered under the wear and tear. I actually told them that when a ring gets scratched it gets scratched on the outer layer of the ring not inside, also the fact that it wasn't tampered with.
I think you guys should work on your warranty policy to cover the inside of the ring as well, not just the falling of the rocks from the ring, and mention that to customers before they buy it, and not try to play the "You have to prove to us that the ring was faulty when you bought it" card..

Boss bracelet
Had a boss bracelet for Christmas. Really awful products. Clasp was useless. Told i could exchange over thephone. Staff had a terrible attitude when i took it in. Don't buy from this shop.
