The product wasn't helpful for me
The product wasn't helpful for me. I tried it a few times and it just didnt let me have a bowel movement. The experience wasn't good and didnt reduce my IBS symtoms.

Dear Abey, we are sorry to hear that Enterosgel didn't seem to help your IBS symptoms. Enterosgel is indicated for IBS with diarrhoea (IBS-D) and helps relieve diarrhoea and reduce stool frequency. It appears that it did help reduce your bowel movements, we recommend that people adjust their dose so they can experience the type and number of bowel movements they want. So perhaps if wish to try Enterosgel again you can reduce the dose you take so you can get the bowel movements you would like. Our recent trial showed that in IBS-D patient's, other IBS symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating and urgency continued to improve over time, so you may need to take Enterosgel more than a few times to see a real benefit to your IBS symptoms. IBS D
Have had IBS D on and off for years and always taken Immodium which always helps but leaves me feeling very "windy" and uncomfortable. Taken Enterosogel twice a day for one week and so much better. Then reduced to once a day as slightly constipated, now taking three times a week and rarely having diarrhoea.

My IBS journey.
I'm sorry I haven't tried this yet but I will. Reading people's issues, I just want to give a quick overview of my life with ibs which is 60% better now. IBS started for me in my teens, I'm 41 now. I was 32 when the doctor told me I had IBS. I than went on a journey of cutting out all known IBS foods, introducing them one by one so I could pin point the bad foods for me.
As we all know, IBS isn't just about the wrong food intake. It could be stress, tiredness or anxiety. If all 4 comes into play, dear god, don't we have the roughest time of our lives!
For me it was pin pointing the main cause, gassy foods. Highest cause, baked beans, followed by broccoli, cauliflower, sprouts, onions and mushrooms. Once I cut all these out, I could start eating whole wheat again, but it was 2-3 years later after cutting gassy foods out. I've never had an issue with spicy food thank god.
Now I've sorted the food side of things, I now needed to sort my extremely high anxiety out. I now start using CBD oil 5% (Legal in the UK). Best CBD oil is extracted from the leaves, stalks and flowers. CBD oil just from seeds isn't actually CBD oil, it's Hemp oil and is very weak against CBD oil. I take 3-5 drops (depending on the social event) 1 hour before. Some people might need less or more. Note: more you take, sleepier you'll feel.
Now as for Enterosgel, I think this is more towards the food eating sides of things than the anxiety sides of things. Because Enterosgel is purely for IBS and not anxiety IBS issues if you get what I mean. I'm going to experiment with Enterosgel for food related IBS aswell as anxiety IBS including using CBD oil.

Enterosgel can work for both allergy and anxiety/stress related IBS, as it can remove inflammatory chemicals that are released in response to certain foods in people with allergies/intolerances and it can also help with anxiety/stress related symptoms, as once people take Enterosgel and realise that it helps with urgency and other IBS symptoms, this can help reduce social anxiety related to worry about the nearest toilet and also eating out. This really works
This really works. I use it when I'm travelling or anxious about being away from home. It calms my symptoms and gives me the confidence to carry on with my life and enjoy social occasions.

Diarrhoea when I go out is main problem could go UPTO four times. Ruins my life don’t want to go out even show and always nervous spoil other peoples time, because when I need to go it’s now, always look for toilets when out and panic if outdoors no toilets around and with friends. Just wondering if taken everyday does it constipate you ? Want to try 21 days twice day then once day after that? Have constipation sometimes am drinking 2 litres water and improved my diet smoothies, less dairy,sugar and carbohydrates. grateful for any information

Noozle not adecuate but effective
Good delivery, expensive product, the gelwtinous texture that makes it easy to pour becomes really liquid after two days ooen, so the snoozle does not allow to pour it effectively. Hence the four stars.

The product is great and does what it says, no taste, no smell it just works. The only gripe I have is that I ordered it direct from the company so I did not expect it to get delivered from Amazon. I wouldn't have ordered direct if I knew this, let alone ordered it at all.

Very good product but very expensive
Moving away from the fact the texture of Enterosgel is not the most pleasant (like wallpaper paste), it really does appear to work.
However, I just can not afford to continue taking it for my IBS due to the cost, it works out very expensive. I purchased a 90g tube (£14 from Holland and Barrett), it says on the tube to take up to 3 times a day. I took just 1tbsp once a day and it was nearly used up in just 4-5 days.
Says to use up to 30 days for ibs-d, that would cost a small fortune which I just can not afford (COL crisis and all that).
As I say, it works really well but sadly this will not be a regular in my medicine cabinet due to the very expensive cost. Shame.

Sorry to hear that you are struggling with the cost of Enterosgel. The 225g tube is the most cost effective version and you can buy this from our website for £19.95 per tube or cheaper if you buy in bundles or on subscription (https://enteromed.co.uk/shop/). A 225g tube contain 15 doses (15g each) enough for 1 week at 2 doses per day. We usually recommend people with IBS to take 2-3 doses for 2 weeks then you can tailor the dose to your symptoms - most people can drop down to 1 or 2 doses per day.
I hope to decide to give Enterosgel another try as our recent trial showed it can significantly improve quality of life in people with IBS. The Enteromed Team.

Lifesaver product for bile acid malabsorption
I buy twice a month long term because Enterosgel is the best thing I've found to control bile acid malabsorption. Absolute lifesaver - I spend a LOT but there's no choice until this is available on the NHS!
