Do not use these guys , they are not a solar company they simply subcontract out the job to other companies , once you have a problem that's the end of them communicating with you. Also way overpriced and pushy sales tactics

I got solar panels installed last December by Energlaze. James explained to process and was very helpful throughout. The installation was completed on time and Eric and the lads did a great job. I'm very happy since how the panels are performing and reducing my energy costs. Thank you Energlaze

A brief introduction to two separate and completely different experiences I had dealing with this company, one that happened around 2021 with a glazing job (their bread and butter) and the other from December 2023 with a solar pv installation.

I do not have anything negative to say about the glazing job, on the contrary, it was the reason why I made the mistake to consider Energlaze again.

Now, about the other job, the solar pv installations is something they completely lack in-house knowledge about, because of that they rely 100% of third party companies that they are sub-contracting. This should not be an issue if at least Energlaze was providing the knowledge required from the project managing point of view. So be aware of this, as the devil in the details, and you can find MANY alternatives for solar PV, offering the same without this caveat.

Long story short, the solar pv installation was completed in December 2023, and I had shortly informed Energlaze two things:
- That I found that the cement work under the tiles on the gable cracked in many places after the installation was carried out. Up to the point where you could see some daylight entering the attic.
- After storm Gerrit, I started to see humidity passing through in the attic too.

January 2024, Energlaze coordinated with their roofer (third party company that installs their panels) to be back at our house to check the issue. They came and investigated, I was told the water was coming in from the side in between the wall and slates below the tiles. Something that never happened before. So, they proceed to apply sealant across the roof line, also patched the cement work.

January 21st 2024, I am needing to reach back to Energlaze as the leak on the roof has not gone away. I was told that my message was going to be passed to a manager.

February 8th 2024 I was reaching back to Energlaze, as no manager ever contacted me back.

February 12th 2024, I received an email from Energlaze quoting their roofer, mainly saying the issue was not caused by the instillation of the solar panels. I replied expressing how disappointed I felt, I had waited three weeks for nothing. Apparently, my reply was not what they were expecting, and their manager ringed me to explain they could only rely on what their roofer was telling them, and asked me to find a different party to take a look into it.

February 16th 2024, Energlaze’s roofer was out-of-blue visiting me again to “check the issue and fix it”, but after a while they were leaving my property and telling me "the solar is not the problem”. After this nonsense episode I sent a new email to Energlaze, to ask why they sent their roofer in the first place. After two weeks, they replied that they were not even aware that their sub-contractor was planning to come to my place.

3 months passed since I first informed Energlaze about the leak. I ended up calling my roofer, not to compare notes with what Energlaze’s roofer told to them but to fix once and for all the problem.

March 4th 2024. I informed Energlaze my roofer had concluded the work. I sent pictures to then showing the work done, and broken tiles found and replaced in the process.

March 15th 2024, I was told that they will call at some stage in the next couple of months to check up for any issues. At the time of writing this review a couple of months have already passed, the only thing I ever heard back from Energlaze was about their marketing campaign for the “exclusive solar offer for customers that's too good to miss”.

Energlaze never acknowledge what happened, nor they accepted any responsibility, they simply hide behind what their sub-contractor said. And their sub-contractor ended up blaming every prior work done on my roof, saying it was not up to standard. But Energlaze never explained to me why they proceeded with the solar pv installation given the conditions were not ideal. The Code of Practice for Installers for Domestic Solar Photovoltaic explains how the installer should inspect the site with a competent person, but Energlaze never sent anyone to do so prior to the installation. And the first day the roofer/installer was on site, was to execute the installation, and as soon as the scaffolding was up and they had access to the roof they simply started attaching brackets. Up to the point that they did not even validate the position of the rafters, and in some cases they put screws on other more thin battens, and you could see more than half of the length of the screws protruding into the attic.

For the SEAI grant application, I noticed Energlaze uploaded in my form pictures that, were not even related to the solar pv installation made at my house; but this should not be surprised as the only employee from Energlaze that ever step a foot at my house was a seller

Consider twice what type of job you contact them for.

The installation process provided by Energlaze Solar was exceptional from beginning to end. Peter and Ciaran, the roofers, demonstrated utmost professionalism, tidiness, friendliness, and efficiency. They were readily available to address any queries, which made for a hassle free experience.

The electricians, Jimmy and Stephen, continued this standard of excellence during the two-day commissioning process. Their efficiency and attention to detail were commendable, leaving us delighted with the quality of their work.

Energlaze installed 12 panels for me in mid November. It was a no fuss installation, half a day to put the panels on the roof and half a day to connect in to the network. As of today, 5/4/24, 937 kwh has been generated, during a period when I increased consumption of electric heating over oil. By the end of this month I expect to be in electricity credit, growing over the next six months. Today the panels generated a peak of 5.15kw.

The aftercare service was also excellent, both for the grant processing and customer care. I have no hesitation in recommending Energlaze.

Really likes dealing with this company James McGeehan guided and told me what to expect every step of the way and anything I was unsure of he was at end of the phone and nothing was a bother to him So I made up my mind on first phone call this was the company I was going to use to get my panels installed as I had Spoken to others companies and I was none of the wiser when the call was finished

I spoke to several different companies and energlaze really knew their stuff. Although the plan I went with, with Energlaze was more expensive at first it is going to save me a lot of money. James who I dealt with from enquiries up until sales point and Lorcan who dealt with installation were both extremely helpful. Answering every query I had ( sometimes more than once) and they both followed up post installation. I am delighted that I went with the optimum number of panels that would fit in my roof and included optimizers and a battery. At all times during daylight my panels are working. Most days my battery reaches 100% quite quickly and then start selling excess power back to the grid. Win win :) highly recommend going with this top quality group.

After an initial shock with quote from energlaze I went back to Dan to advise of some obvious mistakes in the initial quote I was given. He came back to me after I chased him to say they were correct and that the 132 year ROI was accurate. Part of his quote he missed the grant for the front door replacement, project management grant and grants for windows. Errors which total 6800! The quote was to upgrade a C2 property to B1 and it was 100k less 20k for the grants. Part of the quote was for solar, energlazesolar has the same address and contact info and trying to get my review removed by claiming they are not linked. Hilarious

Delighted with Energlaze, would highly recommend them. Our PV installation was seamless from the design, panel install and electricians.

Great from start to finish. Initial conversation with James through to installation was all very clear and precise. A great experience and does what it says on the tin!

Just had 8 panels installed. Tried a number of other companies for quotes. A number told me it wouldn't be possible. Others were lacking on technical advice I felt they just wanted to sell a system.
All that changed when I contacted EnerGlaze Solar.
The presentation was excellent covered everything before they quoted a price.
Everyone I had dealings with from the office to the installation crew were very professional.
