Really good gym with all amenities
Really good gym with all amenities! Not too crowded so never have to wait to use a machine. Welcoming staff !

Good location but cramped
Good location, equipment and changing facilities, but it is quite small and can feel quite cramped.

Quite a poor gym overall.
Quite a poor gym overall, uninspiring and unclean. Tv's show awful daytime trash, just what you need staring at you whilst your pounding the treadmill. Where's the olympic re-runs to get you up for it or something. Nah ! just slap on homes under the hammer instead, lazy.
There's a rubber mat when entering the mens shower room that looks like they found it out the back of the bins at old street roundabout. You'd almost rather step on that than the floor of the shower room, not sure how many hours it had been before it saw a hose down with some cleaning product after the lunch time rush. Other than that the staff are friendly and attentive. Easy fixes for a Ramsey's gym nightmares.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I will pass your comments on to the team. We listen to our members daily in our quest to continually improve and we work hard to make our gym a great place to work out.
Review
the gym has all the relevant equipment but:
- the music is too loud
- the staff is not providing the relevant assistance. The only time I was approached by the staff was when one of the trainer proposed to offer his services as a PT
- the showers and toilets should be cleaned more regularly several times a day!!!!!!

The downsides are the Mens Locker-rooms and Showers
Showers cut off (we have been informed of this, I know), but today the showers were particularly dirty with some inexplicable stuff on the floor

It is so busy there is no room to do…
It is so busy there is no room to do anything!
I have had times where no towels are available, the drinks fountain takes ages and there’s never anything in the vending machine.

Friendly and stress-free gym
I've been going to Energie in Old Street for about 6 months and I'm really happy. There is a nice friendly vibe and I never have to wait long to use the machines or the weights. There is also a good amount of space to warm up and stretch. The ladies' changing rooms could be improved, they would do with an overall remake just to make them look more modern, and perhaps review the arrangement of benches since they're not enough for everyone to use (I'd get wooden or plastic benches this time, not fabric cause they get dirty easily).

It's a club, not just a gym
Love this gym, it has such a nice vibe, the people are great and the staff are so friendly and helpful. It's really like a members club than just your standard soul-less gym.

Gym is great for what you pay
Gym is great for what you pay. Would be good if more space was available for other types of classes and shower system needs updating to ease less issues for management

Some small annoyances but overall good!
Staff are lovely - always willing to help and very friendly.
I almost always get access to a runner which is great, but I often have problems trying to get a mat to stretch - especially if I want to do light weights with the mirror.
Where there are mats by the mirror, one is dangerously close to the foot-press weights machine and the last time I used it the person on that machine seemed very put out at me using the mat. He placed all his things on my mat and made no effort to be safe while adjusting the weights on the machine - sometimes carrying them over my feet or head. This is not the first time I've had an issue using that mat so I avoid it where possible.
I appreciate that you have to have a lot of different weights machines but I do think you've sacrificed having adequate stretching mats. More than once I've had to stretch in the changing rooms.
In addition, I would really appreciate some signs in the changing rooms asking people not to take selfies when there are people in the background. More than once I've changed in the toilet stall to avoid getting caught in the background of a long selfie session.

Affordable Gym for its location
Affordable, and has all the equipment I need. Gets busy but am still always manage to complete my workout with little to no difficultly.
Also conveniently located.

Amazing value for money
Amazing value for money! For what you pay I think it's a great gym.
Good range of equipment, nice team, and the classes are a fab bonus (I can't believe they are free!). The team are all friendly and know their stuff. The changing rooms are pretty good - very clean and hair dryers and straighteners are a nice touch. It would be good to get the showers sorted, it's not often it happens but occasionally they do run out of hot water.
The quality of classes does vary according to who is teaching it - some are definitely better than others, Deiby is amazing and always tries to switch up the classes which is great.
At busy times it's difficult to get on certain equipment, especially mats and weights area but I guess you get the same at any gym especially at the start of the year.
Overall really positive and would (and have) 100% recommend!
