Best Gym in Dublin 13
I have been going to this gym since it opened its doors. The staff are very welcoming, approachable and always on hand to give advice on exercise and diet. There are a good range of classes suitable for all fitness levels. Overall fantastic gym. Would really recommend it.

Lovely personnel and a good environment.
I think the studio is closing too early, especially on the weekend.
I miss certain equipment (Fascia roll, arm stretchers), and there is limited places to stretch/do acrobatics if the stretch room is being used for group hours.

Convenient, but needs some repairs
It’s a convenient gym, with friendly staff, but the Gents changing room is in need of a new splash of paint & moderate makeover. It has a lingering odour to it...
Some of the equipment needs repair as well. Nothing major, but some of it has definitely worn out over the years, such as the padding on some equipment.

Affordable though small gym with decent range of equipment and classes....
Developed a few serious medical issues during the early days of my renewed membership. Had to put this on hold. However there was some confusion as the person who was supposed to set this up on left employment without establishing that on my account, On discussing this with management there was sporadic communication and still some delay in restablishishing this 'hold' time. Eventually though just as my annual membership expired Energie management Clarehall offered several months free which covered a fair though not total chunk of my time lost due to illness. In fairness I was ill for many months and a lot more than initially expected. Overall I'm generally happy with this experience.
Negatively a free weights workout area facing the mirror has been lost upstairs since my illness due to the introduction of many spin bikes that are not always used while taking up a lot of space. As a previous poster has pointed out the music can be raised very loudly when these spin classes take place. In fairness spin classes are highly recommended for fitness and weight loss. I might consider trying them myself one day due to the weight I piled on while sick! There appears to be a good range of popular classes though I've not tried these.
Gym can be crowded during peak times but the same can be said of any gym. I'd prefer if the music (at a reasonable volume!) wasn't switched off until closing time as I also use its time updates to reference how long I've left to complete my often late arrival workout. Unfortunately the clock has long disappeared from upstairs. I could of course just wear a watch! There are no longer paper towels to wipe down machines and wipe off sweat though I understand these could add an unnecessary expense to membership prices. I do apologize for raining on the equipment though I'm there like many others to workout not play with our phones like a small minority of members. Cleanliness is reasonable. It's an affordable gym not a luxury health spa. Of course I'd like it to be open longer weekends but staff deserve some personal time off too.
Machines are generally kept in good condition with a fair turnaround time on repairs. Recently I witnessed this with a bicycle pedal and running machine.
Nice gym and friendly staff and mostly friendly members.

Little improvements needed
Its a very good gym, but starting to feel a little too cramped, no machines to do curls for your arms, no abdominal machines,which at least two is needed. But overall a good gym and nice freindly staff, maybe needs a staff member to be on the floor more often to help people.

The resistance isn't working on some of…
The resistance isn't working on some of the Cardio machines and there was a period where the cable machine was broke for an extended period of time.
Apart from that it's very good.

Toilets could be kept cleaner. The downstairs rooms are actually fairly good. Upstairs the machines seem a little bit all over the place. Too many machines that focus on chest. Maybe add a bicep/tricep machine? All in all a grand gym and just about value for money

Clarehall gym is a good gym with excellent staff. While I understand the need to bring in more classes, the constant movement of the weights and machines and also decreasing the workout area is having a negative impact
