Currently feeling let down by Eco Renewables, I purchased and had fitted 1 week ago 15 solar panels, a Tesla powerwall 3 and also a Tesla Gateway. On Monday my electric tripped and the Gateway never kicked in. For roughly 1 hour I had no electric at all. In all fairness Eco Renewables where fast to tell me what to do and help me get a temporary fix so that I have electric again. Unfortunately since Monday I’m now having 100% of my electric supplied from the grid costing me money and 0% electric from my solar panels, battery or gateway. I just paid £11995 for a system that currently doesn’t work. I was informed someone will come round this week which now hasn’t happened and have been told that I have to wait till Tuesday next week. I was going to purchase through them an electric car charger but now contemplating going through another company as I am very disappointed that I spent all that money for a system that currently doesn’t work. Also scaffolding is still up, despite asking twice for it to be removed. Also during fitting the solar panels, at least one of the workmen was smoking and just throwing his cigarette butts on my driveway. This I also find unacceptable!

We had a relatively large solar array combination of flush/integrated roof panels and flat roof panels and Powerwall. A very neat and tidy installation and detailed walkthrough of the system installed. Very happy to recommend

Particularly impressed with the initial costing process. Everything was quick and easy to understand.
Pricing seemed very reasonable and installation took place very quickly.
All queries were handled promptly including a small issue with a damaged tile.
All of the tradesmen involved were polite and tidy.

Well what can I say from start to finish the experience has been a Dream
We had over 9 Quotes from all different companies and Eco Renewables came out on top by far
We were a bit weary at first due our location ie living in Scotland and the company is based in England
From the very start Chris Meers & Sam we’re very helpful and polite they guided us through all the different systems on the market.
This was so helpful to be guided step by step on different systems available to us
After deciding on what package we wanted, it was no time at all for Chris and Laura to get things started (this happened in a few days )
First of all the scaffolders turned up and installed the scaffold these guys were very professional and the system was installed to a high standard one of the best systems that I have seen in a long time ( I work in construction myself )
The next day two of Eco Roofers turned up as planed Wayne & Marcus they explained to what will be happening over the next day or two.
Before we knew it the lads had the solar rails installed then started to move the solar panels around the back for the following day.
On the Second day the two lads started installing 27no Aiko panels
Also the electrician Jordon turned up to start his first fix by the end of the day Wayne & Marcus had installed all the panels with bird protection and also run the cables in conduit
They really made an outstanding job you hardly notice it
Jordon was now working on the Tesla Gateway and two Tesla batteries.
Jordon turned back up on the last day to commission the system and talk me through everything also downloaded the app once completed the scaffolders turned up to remove the scaffold job done
Chris just checked in over the phone during this time just to make sure that everything was running smoothly
Overall Eco Renewables were prompt very professional clean / tidy and had installed a top notch system to a very high standard
The system that we had installed was the following
27 Aiko panels
1 Tesla Gateway
1 Tesla 13.5 Kw battery with built in inverter
1 Tesla Expansion pack

Initially I gave 5 stars but I did have an issue with my install, BUT....it was sorted and that's the main thing! It's a long story that I don't want to elaborate on as it was not eco renewables fault but more the fitters.
Chris who I believe is the owner gave me his direct contact number to resolve the issue which is a big plus for me. The support and the second installers Marcus and Jordan who came to rectify the issues were absolutely top drawer. Clearly knew what they were doing and nice guys, a credit to the company and I hope are rewarded appropriately for their experience.

Initial Price was fantastic and beat all the rest, the install bar the hiccup was also done to a high standard.
Can't fault them and have already recommended alot on the street to use these guys.

We had home batteries installed by Eco Renewables in November 2025. After getting quotes from several companies, we chose Eco Renewables because they were by far the most responsive and clearly very knowledgeable.

The installation they carried out was absolutely excellent. The workmanship is superb – everything has been installed incredibly neatly and the finished setup looks great.

Shortly after installation we noticed the batteries weren’t charging overnight as expected. I contacted Eco Renewables and they came to our house the very same morning to investigate. It turned out to be a small issue with the app, which they quickly resolved. They even checked the system again later that evening to make sure everything was working properly.

The customer service has been outstanding from start to finish. On the few occasions I’ve needed some advice since the installation, they’ve always been happy to help and quick to respond.

I honestly can’t recommend Eco Renewables highly enough. If you’re considering solar panels or battery storage, they are a company that truly goes above and beyond. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The quote we received from David not only felt right for us, but it also beat the competitors by almost 2k.
The solar panel installers, Marcus and Wayne, treated our property as if it were their own home. They showed outstanding knowledge, care, and a genuine willingness to go above and beyond for their customers.
Jordan, the electrician, was quick, tidy, and extremely knowledgeable. The entire team worked very neatly, with great attention to detail.
Even with a very challenging roof, they managed to achieve what seemed impossible. The panels were installed perfectly, and the battery started charging the moment everything was connected, which truly impressed us.
We are extremely happy with the result and highly recommend this team for their professionalism and dedication.

Used this company before for solar and batteries at work very knoledgeable clean and precice ,just fitted a Tesla Powerwall battery at my home again excellent service neat and tidy installation ,highly recomended

I was recommended to Eco Renewables from a good friend of mine. The team work from Carley in sales to the fitters Marc, Wayne and Jordan the electrician was first class. The solar panels, battery, gateway and all feeds are very neatly fitted. Nothing was too much trouble and I had a good understanding
from the guys of how things worked.
I now have the Sigen app for monitoring the system and the AI will be taking control in a couple of weeks for my peace of mind.
Oh! the price was very reasonabletoo.
I therefore have no issue with recommending Eco Renewables.

Great company to deal with.
Communications clear concise and prompt replies.
Handled everything with the DNO and provided suitable documentation for my SEG application in a timely manner.

Installation excellent. The squad of guys did a super neat job of fitting panels and hiding cables. Despite biting cold and rain they fitted 22 panels, battery and inverter in 2 days.. just as they said they would. Price was 40% less than another quote. A very trustworthy company.

First class service, start to finish,office to the scaffolder's to the fitting team.
Lads was all very accommodating in quite a challenging job and freezing conditions.
No price bargaining required right price straight from the start,and as they say 'you get what you pay for'.

Fantastic solar install providing us with 15 panels, battery backup(off grid) and solar diverter to heat our water at a very good price. Communication with Eco has been easy and the installers were very good. Overall I'd recomend Eco Renewables to anyone.

I have left some time prior to leaving this review to try to provide an accurate picture.

Install: 13/05/2025 - 8 x 460 panels and Tesla PW3 with gateway.

Pros:

1) Carly and Chris at quote stage were really involved and responsive - needed help with the DNO and I worked as a go between to try to speed up the process but whenever I contacted Carly she was quick on the ball to ensure things were sent through quickly.

Note: I contacted lots of companies for quotes prior to choosing ERG.

2) Can pay by credit card

3) Follow-up call that or the next day after install to check-in and receive payment (they only take a small upfront deposit to book you in) to release your paperwork

4) Paperwork post install sent relatively quickly to be able to get export tariff set up quickly (minor errors in paperwork corrected fairly quickly)

5) Chris noticed a question I had on a solar forum and reached out independently to answer this for me directly and contacted Tesla to sort out the export issue

Cons: essentially all related to communication and time to rectify issues

1) Large solar panels/supplies delivered day before install - not informed this was happening and they were unable to fit through my back gate on the pallet. Delivery company unable to take these off pallet in case damage caused - they could take them away or leave them. The delivery driver spoke with Chris and they had to leave these outside the gate overnight. I could only protect them by parking mine and neighbours cars around them

2) At install I mentioned I did not want the solar/battery to charge my car - advised on CT clamps by the electrician but nothing further done. Noted battery was discharging fully to the car shortly after install - after a lot of discussion this was rectified in July. Now working well.

2) Broken drain down pipe coupler by scaffolding team most likely - images sent to Chris and arranged repair myself to get it done quickly - invoice to Chris in mid-July, chased repayment a few times and finally received in early September

3) Major issue which is ongoing:

DNO need to do a witness test to sign off this install as ERG had not done many installs in the SSEN region by that point. Despite this being related to the company not having done enough installs in the SSEN region and them needing to review their installs, this was an additional cost I had to pay to proceed. Having got this far, I didn’t want to start the process again (background: had been through Octopus before for battery-only install and realised going to another companymeant I could also have solar panels for a little more and switching providers had meant starting again)

Since the install, the company have failed to attend on 2 occasions - 21st August and 21st November with poor to no communication in between and thereafter, which has also been noted by the DNO assessor. I last chased up the company 19/12 and to date no response. Today, I have raised a formal complaint with the company and will escalate this further should I need to. Shortly after submitting the complaint, I have received a response from Chris and they have contacted the DNO via email.

Overall - I would say the aftercare communication and speed to rectify things lets the company down. This does lend me to be a little concerned for the future at this point if for example a panel failed or there was an issue with the battery but only time will tell.

Update 23/02/26: despite assurances that Chris would be in attendance today, another colleague attended who had not been briefed, did not attend with the required forms and was not aware or the setup. The DNO have partially done their test but need the forms to be sent through, I need to be sent the schematics to put in the gateway and this ordeal will hopefully be over for now. I stick by my comments made in the overall statement previously.

3rd April - I received the laminated copy on the 25th March due to a postal error and then a delay as I was away for a few days. I am now awaiting confirmation everything is done

The package we were offered is exactly what we needed. You have to listen to the experts not Google. The system has been running for just over seven weeks now without any issues.

I have struggled to find my way around the Sig app but with the support of Chris and the team at Eco Renewables the system is already saving us money, even with the low levels of light we are having this winter.

The system was installed in just one day. 18 panels, inverter, battery and gateway.

The installation looks right and is right.

All the paperwork was sorted by the team. I had to speak to Octopus to get the export tariff online. That was the only hold up.

From installation to being fully up and running was 5 weeks.

I would recommend Eco Renewables to my friends and family.

Had great experience with Chris and team. The deal was decided in less than 10 mins of conversation as it was among one of the best I had received. There were nuances surfaced later at the time of installation however they were nicely managed without wasting any time..highly recommended

It was a real pleasure dealing with Eco Renewables Group from the first phone call to the installation I will certainly be recommending them to my friends and colleagues.

I’ve used Eco Renewables Group before and was impressed by their work so it was a no brainer to call them when I wanted some more solar and an additional battery. They suggested an improvement to what I originally wanted for no extra cost and did a great job. Thanks to Ryan and the team.

I initially had Tesla Powerwall batteries installed and subsequently had fitted additional solar panels.
Ryan was easy to deal with and always readily available.
The installation was on time and neatly completed.
I found Eco R to be very competitive in their pricing.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Solar energy is a minefield when you first start looking, with so many companies offering such a varied range of products.
My experience with Ecorenewables for start to finish was excellent.
I first made contact with Dave Harrison who gave me superb advice and explained everything without making me feel pressured at all to buy.
When it came to installation, that too was just as good.
Mike and his 2 mates came to site, did a great job, leaving the place clean and tidy when they finished.
The workmanship was excellent, all the wiring neat and tidy and done in a timely manner.
When it came to payment, Carly in the office again was excellent and Ryan Jervis too has been very helpful to ensure the scaffolding is removed as quickly as possible.

The system is working really well, and I believe there will be some good savings to be made over the coming years… 🤞
I just hope I can stop looking at the App as often as I am so far 😂😂
