They sent a part that stopped working after 6 months and won't honor the warranty. Need to hire a professional contractor to get the warranty serviced?! It's a remote!

Customer service
You need to know that if you are a DYI installer, don’t bother trying to make a claim, without a licensed installer you are wasting your time. I had a simple bad thread on one fitting, but nothing could be done since I did the work myself.
I did have a good experience with getting the equipment and part, Distribution Box for a LG mini split system, and got a quick response when I placed my warranty claim. I also purchased the whole system 2 years ago and had a good experience
5 zone Mitsubishi Minisplit works great!
I bought a 5 zone concealed duct Mitsubishi Minisplit system from eComfort back in February of 2021. One main shipment then a few follow-ups for additional parts needed. Many parts and many boxes. ALL arrived new in good condition. One special tee fitting was on backorder and arrived a bit sooner than expected. My Mitsubishi Minisplit system has been in use for more than two years now and very happy to have it!
Heat Pump
Very BAD, just Because i did not open my heat pump pallet in 2 days I lost 5 k ...the unit was completely damaged and my client refuse to accept me to install the heat pump in his home, ;( very disappointed. i need to buy the same unit twice. I never will recommend this company.

Can't Trust Trustpilot
Can't Trust Trustpilot
Doesn't anyone else see that the Star's aren't adding up? eComfort shows 78% 5 star ratings but only has a 1.6 star showing. That doesn't make any sense! It should be a 4.4 star rating. I've been purchasing things from them for years and they're great!
Do not spend $1 with this company
Do not spend $1 with this company. An absolute disgrace of a company. There is a manufacturer issue with the LG Mini Split unit that we recently purchased, leaks in the outdoor unit and in the coils in both heads. We only got this unit in June, 2022. Warranty avoidance with ecomfort is incredible. I provided Paperwork from licensed technicians, videos, invoices and still nothing from them. no accountability, nothing. STAY CLEAR
ecomfort is run by pieces of human trash and thieves
They sold me a combination for a mini split that doesn’t work from the manufacturer then told me to sell the head unit when I asked for the correct one then stated they had a 30 day return policy when we were installing the head unit 3 years later. If you like being f|_|cked with, then you’ll get Quality fuckery from this piece of crap site and their representatives.
Awful
Awful. I ordered the wrong voltage ac and they are charging me 70% of the price to return it. Bad service. Bad policy. With over 1000 one star reviews I should have known better. Took a month to get the shipment and I had to drive 90 miles to get it. They said the only deliver on tuesdays.
Poor returns service
I ordered a mini-split. They recommended an accessory part that did not go with my system. When I went to return it, they said "We recommend you try to sell it locally". I said I wanted to return it, so they said OK, but there will be a restocking fee. Annoying, but bearable. They send my refund check, which clearly says "Not valid after 90 days". So, I deposit it after 65 days and it bounces and I get hit with a fee by my bank, who tells me there were "insufficient funds". I contact customer support and they say "Accounting canceled the check because it wasn't cashed within 60 days. And, we won't reimburse your bank charge."
Ridiculous. Either print "Not valid after 60 days on the check" or honor it for 90 days ... don't say one thing and do another.
That whole experience will make me much less likely to order from them in the future, because it feels like a shady operation. If you spend $7,000 and get hassled over $60 return, that's not very good customer experience.
No issues here.
Wow. Kinda surprised at the negative reviews. I placed a complex order for mini splits to include all installation parts etc. They kept me informed, shipped what they had immediately and have thus far honored their promise of excellent service. I had a linseed damaged in transit and they are processing a replacement. I have called for updates etc and they have always answered. Emails are quickly answered.
Hard to beat: Great variety, prices and service
I've been buying products from eComfort for several years, including 4 mini-split heat pumps. Their website has a wealth of good information, they've got a wide range of products and their prices are good. I recently had a problem with a product and to me how a company responds when there is an issue is the real test. I was extremely impressed with eComfort's support and follow through. You can get a real person on the line and they will actually do what they can to help. In this case, I needed a warranty part. They approved the request within 24 hours and expedited shipment of the part. They've definitely earned my business.
Warning for potential customers
The Williams direct vent 14K BTU heater I bought from ecomfort.com put out extremely noxious fumes for 21 days and the odor—like the smell of burning tires— still lingers a month later. For the first few days after the heater was installed, the smoke alarm would go off unless a fan was pointed directly at it. For the entire 21 days, the heat was left on for up to12 hours a day with windows wide open and fans blasting in an attempt to air out the room.
After my initial complaint, a specialist at ecomfort.com told me Williams had been contacted earlier and that they suggested that the technician who installed the heater was “incompetent.” I hired this heating company because of consistent 5 star reviews. The technician spoke with Williams and reported that the installation was a simple switch out and the fumes were significant and highly unusual. I’ve since asked advice from another highly reputable heating company (as advised by Williams) and their technician reported the same—both companies reported that manufacturers oil internal parts of heaters to prevent rust but that they had used way too much oil on this heater.
I received a number of emails from ecomfort.com asking for photos, the work receipt for installation, and warranty form. I sent all of the information requested. When I called later to ask about the status of the claim, I was told that they (ecomfort.com) were processing the warranty claim with Williams.
After a series of calls and emails, I contacted ecomfort.com about the status of the claim and was put through to the head of the warranty department. That person repeatedly interrupted and talked over me. Before ending the call, I pointed out that he seemed quite “hyped” about the situation and suggested that in future calls with customers he might allow a conversation instead of interrupting and talking over the person. He answered, “Well, you put words in my mouth!” When I asked what words I’d put in his mouth, he changed the subject and implied that I’d not understood that ecomfort.com only sells the product--that Williams is the manufacturer and provides the warranty. I told him I was aware of that and reminded him that all of the requests I’d received for warranty information had come from ecomfort.com, I’d sent every item requested, and was then told that ecomfort.com was “processing the information with Williams," He repeated that ecomfort.com will only cover units before they’ve been installed. He added that he did not see how anything could be done, but that he would contact Williams (as mentioned, something I’d been told had already been done).
Potential customers should be warned before working with either company. Both companies should at least post a warning that Williams direct vent heaters can put out strong fumes for up to a month. It should also be made clear that all labor costs (including those for brainstorming with a Williams technician about problems with a new unit, or repair, or installation of a new unit) will be at the customer’s expense.
I bought a Williams heater that ended…
I bought a Williams heater that ended up being a piece of garbage. Tried to return it for refund and I was denied because I hooked the unit up. Once you hook it up it’s non returnable they tell me. Wondering how someone is supposed to know unit doesn’t work properly if it’s not hooked up. Stay away from ecomfort and I’d stay away from Williams heaters too. I tried calling them for help and they referred me back to ecomfort. Both companies are terrible. I lost $2,000 because I used these 2 companies.
Do not order from this company
Do not order from this company. I had to cancel my order within 20 minutes after finding out the $700 product wasn’t the correct unit. I was told it was already shipped and I’d have to pay a turnaround fee along with shipping costs back to e comfort.
What a joke of a company
What a joke of a company. Bought a brand new wall unit heater had a faulty part ( gas valve ) . Could not get through to anyone, then when I did a form had to be filled out . I had to call manufacturer for part number. Meanwhile still no part and kids in northern Michigan have no heat .
DO NOT BUY PRODUCT FROM THEM.
Warranty Nightmare

I bought a Mitsubishi mini split system…
I bought a Mitsubishi mini split system months ago and so far I haven't been able to install it, because when the technician came he informed me that for that model I needed a branch box, I made the conora of that on the same site and today it's been 3 months since the product it's in backorder, the problem is not being in backorder, the problem is they don't answer emails, they don't update the track number and when you call they just don't know anything. Now winter has arrived and I just want to verify that the part that was supposed to arrive again on September 22nd has been rescheduled for October 14th. And who can guarantee that October 14th will really arrive, simply nobody, because it's the third month that this happens
ECOMFORT DOES NOT HONOR RETURNS OR WARRANTY
Wow, I wish I found this site before I made my purchase. I, like many others, purchased an LG minisplit system. HVAC Pro installed and we found about a week later it was leaking refrigerant. Since then, my licensed HVAC tech has been getting the run around between LG and ecomfort. I called ecomfort and they say they won't do anything without an LG case number. After I explained the problems I was having, ecomfort basically told me I'm out of luck. It's ridiculous that I can't return a dead on arrival product and they just send me a new one. Now I have to continue to pay an HVAC Pro to troubleshoot a problem with a unit that never worked correctly. THE WARRANTY IS A JOKE - STAY AWAY FROM ECOMFORT
They claimed to be authorized…
They claimed to be authorized Mitsubishi distributor, it is a lie.
If I could give zero stars I would give…
If I could give zero stars I would give zero stars. I am three days shy of one year of my $13,000 of equipment being installed. I purchased two 54,000 BTU mini split condensers with eight heads for for each unit. Within the first six months I had already spent an additional $1500 for service and repairs for defective merchandise. Add to that the additional $1500 it cost me to have the new condenser installed to replace the defective one. They may send you defective product and will continue sending you parts every time you need it fixed however you would’ve been better off going through a company that would’ve warrantee the product and you not deal with the headache. In one years time I have had three LG 54,000 BTU condensers go bad and the company just replaces parts and tells me to eat the labor. In the last year I’ve spent over $5000 in service to include the labor and for 10 the defective unit leaked on 9 pounds out of one of the units From a defective part. The constant come back is there following what the manufacturer tells them to do however they stick the customer with thousands of dollars in repairs out of pocket.
