I've been using DSCL for many years…
I've been using DSCL for many years now. I've always found them competitively priced, fast and high quality.
I feel I need to address one of the most common reasons for negative reviews - dark prints.
I feel this is often unfair criticism as it is usually due to a lack of understanding of the realities of prints. Unless you are an advanced photographer who understands the importance of using calibrated monitors and soft-proofing, most people use uncalibrated screens which are overly bright and saturated. Also prints are reliant on reflected light rather than being illuminated on a screen. The paper that the print is using also has an impact, and can never be as bright as a screen image and have a reduced dynamic range of colours especially in the shadows. To get a print to match as closely as possible to a screen image it is necessary to soft-proof an image using the paper profiles DSCL provide free, and to adjust your image using soft-proofing tools in your image editor. But a quick and simple hack if you don't have access to soft-proofing tools, try adding a global exposure/brightness of +0.5 to +1 EV to the image you want to print depending how important highlights or shadows are to your image. If shadow detail is important use the higher value. It's worth doing a couple of different images with different adjustments to see which most closely meet your expectations and use that for future prints. This is obviously just a rough hack for those using uncalibrated screens.

Incredibly quick service as always and great quality. You pay for delivery but I think it's worth every penny. Ordered all of my wedding photos from here and some recent family ones, too.

What a great experience to buy from DCCL
What a great experience it was ordering large photo prints was from DS Colour Labs. It was really easy to select the photo paper and finish as well as adjusting the picture. The pictures were delivered quickly and were just as I wanted.

Great customer service
I had a large black and white photograph printed and unfortunately it arrived damaged, I emailed DS Colour Labs, and they were excellent, replaced it straight away, no hassle, no messing around. Now that is what you call great service. I’m doing an open uni course, so quality and colour are very important, I would score them 100% on both.

I was very impressed with the service from DS Colour Labs. The turnaround was remarkably fast, and the print arrived sooner than expected. Colour accuracy was excellent — the finished print matched the file very closely, with natural tones and good depth. They also offer a very strong range of papers, which made it easy to choose a finish that suited the image. The print was carefully packaged and arrived in perfect condition. 1 star is 1 too many. Very disappointed. Image was too dark and lacked colour. I did brighten my image before sending, too co.pensate for my screens brightness.
