Efter 2,5 år gik vores Drobson 2500 i stykker, idet tænd og sluk lampen kan lyser svagt og den ikke længere fungerer korrekt tilsyneladende, da vi igen kan mærke meget kalk i vores vand. Har ellers været glad for produktet mens det virkede, men 2,5 års levetid er simpelthen for kort tid.
After installing the Dropson EMI 4000, I observed that the limescale in my electric kettle changed color from white to reddish, without a noticeable reduction in buildup. This article explains the reason for the color change, the difference between white and red limescale, and how the technology interacts with local water conditions.
White limescale mainly consists of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) formed when hard water is heated. It appears chalky and dissolves easily in household vinegar. After using the Dropson EMI 4000, the limescale turned reddish, likely due to iron in the water supply, which oxidizes into rust (Fe³⁺ oxides) during heating.
Dropson’s technology is designed to modify the crystal structure of calcium carbonate from calcite to aragonite. This process does not remove the minerals from the water but changes their form. However, in areas with iron-rich water, the altered structure can more easily trap iron particles. The resulting deposits become darker, harder, and less soluble in mild acids, requiring stronger cleaners such as citric acid.
In practice, users in regions with iron-containing water may experience tougher, reddish deposits despite the system’s intended benefits. These findings suggest that performance can vary depending on local water composition, and consumers should be aware of this before purchase. I do not recommend this product as it has intensified lime problem at my house.

Unfortunately, the warranty certificate was not completed by the seller. Since the warranty clearly states it is invalid without the seller’s signature, I was unable to claim coverage. I have submitted a complaint to the relevant authorities, supported by photos showing reddish deposits on my bathroom floor and electric kettle.
Although the product carries an EU certificate, it appears that the certification tests were performed under laboratory conditions, which may not reflect real-life use. I was also asked to provide official test results, which I believe limited my protection under the EU Consumer Act.
In summary, I was left without warranty protection or effective consumer rights, despite acting in good faith when purchasing the product.

After our discussion, we mutually agreed to dismantle the unit, and I received a full refund. The issue was handled professionally and directly. Vi købte en EMI 4000 tilbage i 2022, den er lige gået i stykker.. ingen lys i enheden mere samt ingen lyde fra den.
Det er godt nok lidt for tidligt sådan en går i stykker.
Hjemmesiden vi købte fra er så lukket siden vi købte, så det er nærmest umuligt at få fat i selve dronson, jeg aner ikke hvor jeg skal kontakte dem...

Vivo en una zona de agua muy dura y siempre hemos tenido problemas con la acumulación de cal.
Me recomendaron instalar un antical, pero no quería que fuera de sal por lo que contaminan y descubrí este antical físico.
La persona que me lo instaló me dio mucha confianza, viene con garantia y con un estudio personalizado adaptado a mi vivienda. Y lo que más me ha sorprendido es que no necesita mantenimiento ni consumibles.
De momento estoy muy contenta con el.

Har også prøvet Dropson EMI2500 - har absolut ingen effekt. Vandskål til husdyr kalker til fuldstændig som før. Badeværelse, toilet, vandhaner er det samme.
Virker ikke, gå langt udenom.

Vi beklager, at Deres oplevelse med EMI2500-modellen ikke har levet op til Deres forventninger.
Dropson-afkalkningssystemet fjerner ikke kalken fra vandet, men omdanner den fysisk til ikke-tilsættende mikrokristaller, som ikke aflejres i installationer eller indvendige mekanismer.
Det er en forebyggende behandling, fordi den forhindrer dannelsen af nye kalkaflejringer i rør, varmevekslere og varmeelementer.
Det virker også helbredende, da det gradvist hjælper med at opløse eksisterende kalkaflejringer og letter deres bortledning gennem afløbet.
Det er normalt, at der fortsat kan opstå lette hvide mærker på overflader (såsom drikkeskåle eller armaturer), men disse er ikke egentlige aflejringer og kan let rengøres.
Den store forskel ligger i, at kalken ikke ophobes inde i systemet, hvilket forbedrer energieffektiviteten og reducerer risikoen for skader på lang sigt.

Dropson EMI 4000
Hårdt vand på Vestfyn, har haft den godt et halvt år.
Den øjeblikkelige effekt sås et sted jeg ikke havde forventet, nemlig hårvasken! Helt anderledes let og blødt hår, og ikke så tør hud. Synlig effekt på lidt længere sigt, at kattens vandskål ikke får kalkrande, men forbliver stålblank.
Vigtig vejledning fra installatøren, ikke nøjes med model 2500, da den kun har kapacitet til en enkelt installation som fx en vaskemaskine. Og model 4000 var kun få 100 kr dyrere.

Det virker overhovedet ikke.
0 effekt, simpelthen.
installerede den i januar og i samme omgang blev alle vandhaner skiftet, brusere, vaske og toiletter totalt afkalket.
Nu er alt dog ved det gamle, hvidt OVER ALT!
Der kræves også nøjagtig samme mængde knofedt og kemikalier for holde det nede.
Ved ikke om det er vores Frederikshavner vand eller der er tale om et fup produkt her.
Det er et par måneder siden jeg lagde mærke til den manglende forskel men er først nu sur nok til at skrive en trustpilot anmeldelse.

Dropson-systemet fjerner ikke kalken fra vandet, men omdanner de mineraler, der forårsager kalk, til ikke-tilsættende mikrokristaller. Dette forhindrer, at kalken sætter sig fast i installationer. Det er en fysisk og ikke-kemisk behandling, og effekten ses primært i den indvendige beskyttelse af rør, varmevekslere og husholdningsapparater – hvilket på sigt reducerer risikoen for skader og forbedrer energieffektiviteten.
Det er vigtigt at nævne, at hvide mærker på ydre overflader (armaturer, vaske, brusere) stadig kan forekomme. Disse er dog ikke egentlige kalkaflejringer, men snarere ikke-tilsættende rester, der let kan fjernes – ligesom med regnvand med højt mineralindhold.
