Mike was an excellent instructor; great observation and feedback as well as a myriad of helpful, pragmatic tips throughout the day. He allowed me time to reflect on both the theory and the practical with breaks when necessary and really concise feedback.

Mike at the start spent an hour or so discussing my driving history and experience which was very helpful. By the time we started driving I was very comfortable and relaxed which helped me learn from him and listen to his commentary and coaching advice. As a trainer-coach myself, I very much appreciated Mike's style and process.

I contacted Drivers Domain because I hadn’t driven for several years after retiring. I had given up my car and let my husband drive. Therefore I lost confidence and was anxious about driving. I did not want to drive again until I was sure I was safe for myself and other road users.
The instructor allocated was Paul. He took time to understand the blocks for me driving, then we went out in our car and I drove it. The first drive was quiet roads getting me used to driving and building confidence. The second (a week later) tackled all the things I was anxious about driving in the city.
The sessions were useful and intense and definitely got me back on the road. Since the sessions I have driven regularly and once at night. I could not have returned to driving without their help. I am a better driver for it and will look at taking an advanced driver course next year to cement the skills Paul taught me - road position, space giving best view and time to assess or avert a situation.

Drivers Domain have been outstanding, professional and truly brilliant Ray (our driving instructor has delivered a skilful analysis of a team of support staff. I can unreservedly recommend them for whatever business you have or personal use. The whole team have benefited immensely. Thank you Ray and team DD.

I am a 67 year old lady, who has relied on her husband for the past 40 years to drive the long journeys. His health is now not what it was and I realise to stop our world from shrinking ( especially as our son and grandchildren are 160 miles away in Surrey) I needed to step up and help out. My motorway driving has been minimal so was very nervous.
I booked a course to help me improve.
It certainly DID HELP
My instructor Pam was extremely helpful, she gently pointed out some of my bad habits and suggested better ways of doing things, pointed out the importance of using mirrors all the time, as well as holding the steering wheel correctly, we had a stop for coffee and Pam explained, with drawings rules of the road and the importance of stopping distances. Then I tackled the M6 and M42. All these small adjustments have been surprisingly helpful at building my confidence and I have just been to look after my grandchildren for 5 days, had a great time.
As well as ENJOYED the drive on M42, M40 and M25.
This course is well worth the time and money.

A minor accident had damaged my confidence as a driver. Steve was brilliant throughout, without being judgemental at all. I received a thorough grounding in the principles of better driving, and my knowledge of the law and the Highway Code were also extended. Highly recommended.

Course was very well presented & my instructor Teresa gave me many pointers to help with my concentration & vehicle stability when cornering which I found very informative and will put into practice from now on. I highly recommend this course.

Booked an all day driving session to drive our 4.5 ton 7.5m long 3.4 m high Motorhome. David Watkins was an exceptional instructor who not only coached me throughout the session but transformed my driving of any vehicle. My sticking points were particularly gears and clutch where I had developed poor habits. The day was interspersed with advanced driving tips and highway code. I am now a much more confident driver and have learnt so much about improving my general driving as well as gaining the confidence to drive 'our beast'.

Although I found the day intense and very stressful I have come to realise how excellent it was. Pam was extremely knowledgeable about driving a large vehicle like my Motor Home and I felt I learnt a lot. The day has improved my day to day driving in my car and the confidence to drive the Motor Home. We are now in Exeter and I safely arrived here and reversed into our pitch without any issues . Definitely a worthwhile course for new and experienced drivers of larger vehicles. Thank you Pam.

I had 2 x 3.5 hr lessons. My main aim was to become more confident using roundabouts and in particular busy multi-lane roundabouts. Mark my instructor was exemplary in the way he instructed, resulting in me reaching my goal and more. Mark enabled me to feel at ease and build up my knowledge / competence on other aspects of driving too. Course well worth the time and money. Many, many thanks Mark.

Cath, my instructor gave me confidence with clear, precise instructions, encouraging me to safely go outside my normal comfort zone.
I went from driving mainly 1 mile each way to the supermarket and or the swimming pool to doing a journey to Lytham and back. I would not have contemplated such a journey before. By the time I got home I had driven over 140 miles! I’m still gobsmacked.

Absolutely brilliant and well worth the money.

My Tutor Zubair Esmail was such a polite and professional gentleman throughout the 8 hour course.

I'm currently going through depression, and his positive attitude from the start made me feel welcomed and at ease. He quickly picked up on some of my bad driving habits and ironed them out whilst teaching me driving awareness at an advance level. Three months on I am still using the skills which he taught me. And yes you can teach an old dog new tricks. I called him today to say thanks as his tuition helped me to keep my driving licence following a court case on 1st May 2024 for several driving offences Which were all within a short period of time. I am 76 years old and was losing confidence in my driving ability following a couple of stressful encounters on the road. Most of my driving is around busy and congested urban areas and I had come to the conclusion that other drivers had become more impatient and aggressive. Particularly if they spotted an "old lady" driving.
My morning with Graham completely changed this perception as he picked up on some of the bad habits I had developed. It is not easy to confess it but I had to admit that some of my driving habits were probably the cause of other drivers irritation.
I was failing to appreciate that my actions were a signal to others of my intentions. I was slowing down and pulling in slightly behind cars parked on the road but learned that if I maintained my road position, oncoming traffic would adjust their position to accommodate me.
I was not leaving enough of a gap in front of me when in stationary traffic. This meant that if something unexpected happened, I had no room to escape.
I was too hesitant on roundabouts and junctions and needed to anticipate actions further ahead than the immediate vicinity.
Graham's encouraging and helpful manner put me at ease and the 3 hours of driving around some of the busiest locations in the City helped me to change my habits and gain more confidence.
I was contemplating giving up driving but I now feel happy to continue.

Five stars for my experience driving a motorhome for the first time. My instructor Rachel was awesome throughout the 3 hour session, giving me the benefit of her experience and expertise. She structured the lesson around my aims and I was able to practice parking, reversing, driving on a narrow road with parked vehicles, a by-pass, large and small roundabouts as well as the motorway.
I also really appreciated the opportunity to drive with a female instructor - top marks to Driver's Domain.
I recommend spending the time and money investing in your driving if you're nervous or want to improve your abilities.
I now feel much more confident in my ability to handle and enjoy driving my motorhome.

I was faced with long motorway drives and multiple major roundabouts to see my new grandson. Brushing up my driving skills was now essential. I chose a day of defensive driving skills with Drivers Domain based on the reviews and because the website and first contact made them sound sensible, authentic and human. Fatima was super to have in my car. We did one of my regular trips between Chesham and Oxford. She spotted early on that my use of the passenger side mirror needed work. This was the game changer, plus there were lots of other useful hints and tips. I feel a much better driver and am so glad I did it.

I booked a session to improve my confidence driving a campervan, a larger vehicle than I'm used to. Kevin's relaxed manner put me at ease, and I was able to set the agenda regarding the driving practice I needed during the session. At the break half way I was given some useful advice, which I tried to bear in mind during the rest of the session. There was a thorough debrief afterwards, which was followed up with a useful written report, to which I'll refer as an aide memoire in future. After the session I certainly feel much more confident and optimistic about driving the van, and look forward to using it, bearing in mind Kevin's advice.

I have just had three half day sessions with Fatima from Drivers Domain and I can honestly say that the experience has changed my life. I am a 59 year old professional woman, confident in all areas of my life except as a motorway driver. In fact I hadn't driven on a motorway for more than twenty three years and I was convinced that this would never change, That is before I met Fatima whose calm professional manner, knowledge and expertise, and kindness and patience has given me back all the confidence and driving ability I had lost. I am driving on motorways for the first time in more than two decades. And I am a better driver on every other road as well. It is an amazing feeling. I feel liberated and very grateful. I had an excellent half day drive with Pete and was able to reinforce my driving and knowledge skills whilst learning new ways to both think and manage risk. I certainly will reverse park from now on and also continue to gain confidence and maintain high standards. Very worthwhile and good value for money.

I approached driversdomain with an issue that has crept up on me over the last 10 years in relation to motorway driving, I can drive on motorways but find them extremely scary and stressful places. I have driven for many years on motorways both in the UK and abroad and other than an acccident about 30 years ago had never had a problem. The cuirrent problem manifests itself in panic attacks, tenseness through my arms and shoulders and a desire to come off. I now find it difficult to come out of lane one to overtake a slow vehicle and I have known myself getting slower and slower.
I descibed a time to David Watkins (my instructor), when, about 15 years ago, I found myself inadvertently driving well in excess of the UK speed limit so know this issue is recent.
I found David to be knowlegable and emapathetic and I feel after two days that most aspects of my day to day urban and rural driving have benefited from my time with him.
However, I feel both of us would acknowledge that the two days did little to address my underlying problem which is psychological in nature. David did however make me question this and at his suggestion, I have now booked a session with an hypnotherapist to explore this option further.
