A year later and I'm still happy

I had a set of 5 bi-folding doors manufactured and installed by Doors Plus in Sefton Park, South Australia, in September 2024. Everything about the process was well handled. The sales assistant knew his stuff and was a constant point of contact at each step. The installer was very experienced, took his time and did a great job. The quality of the doors is impressive. A year later, and I’m still impressed and happy.

DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR BY A WELL KNOWN COMPANY

I purchased two doors from doorsplus labrador on 24 Jan 2025 and about 3 weeks later they were installed - actually the first time two gentleman came out but after they asked me for extra money to install a door stopper on the front door which I had already been advised by the salesperson at doorsplus that this was part of the deal I contacted the company and the two people left my residence. I was then informed by phone that they weren't feeling well. I then was sent another installer two days later and he was lovely but he did do damage to my front door while installing it and apologised and I was just happy with his service so I didn't complain. About 3 weeks later I noticed the front door was damaged and I contacted the store by email and was told that this was probably due to the storms that we had experienced - I denied that and a rep. was asked to come and look at the door - his diagnosis confirmed the damage of the door and a new door was ordered. I was informed that it could take up to 4 to 6 weeks - this is ridiculous and it was also confirmed that the door was misfitted and that is why I constantly have trouble with closing this door - I am so sick and tired of waiting for this door - I am so sick and tired of the manager of the company ignoring my requests. I didn't pay so much money for a door that was never properly fitted and also the wrong size for my door space. I feel and I have done on so many times asked for compensation for the mess that they created at my front door. I have been ignored by this company and am still waiting for this door to be replaced. Do not have anything to do with this company as they are not truthful and ignore any requests that I have made. I even asked for an apology after numerous emails with the manager and he had the audacity to say that he had apologised - I believe he lives in another planet because I have all the evidence and this man is rude and arrogant. I have also contacted their head office to no avail.

I want to further explain the inefficiency and professionalism of this company - On or about September 2025 I contacted Doors Plus in regards to the problems I was having with the front door and how many times I can't open the door because I as a layman believe it was the faulty lock. They sent someone out to change the lock who informed me the certain tricks to open the door - today on 26 Sept 2025 I again had so much problems trying to open the door and it looks like it is another issue completely as I had to call neighbour to open the door which he didn't succeed - I then went through the back and got inside and was able to open the door from the inside. This company is a sham and should be investigated because the door I had before was never a problem yet this door is a complete horrendous nightmare and this company should be accountable for their shoddy work. I have been informed it is probably the side of the door that is screwed in too tight. I find this company a travesty and should i repeat be investigated by head office.
