Plants a credit to the staff, especially bedding plants. Very well kept and displayed.

Better service in the restaurant at Dobbies,Shepreth,no Royston.ordered two coffees and two scones,waited half an hour and just one coffee was bought to the table which was Luke warm.after ten minutes I went to ask please could we have the just of our order,and was told curtly,we are busy you know.Also noticed a customer who came in after us,was served before us,Our friend told us the restaurant is a shamble and I certainly believe this to be true.

The restaurant forgot to order half of my meal show my wife had to go and ask again whilst her meal is getting cold. They were very apologetic but these things should never happen especially as there wasn’t a queue. I am disabled so if I was on my own, as I often am, I would have had a problem.

Have to say as a regular at dobbies , I’m afraid it’s not as good as it was .
The breakfasts are served on more like tea plates and my grandsons breakfast was actually bigger than mine . The toast was rock hard with a table spoon of beans and scrambled egg …..
the staff are working at full capacity .. run off there feet and to be honest look completely fed up .
Too many children in the soft play which is not regulated at weekends is a hazard .
Had to use the baby changing facilities in the disabled / mother baby room and felt the changing unit unsafe . Not only that but toilets need a jolly good clean and the corridor looked dismal . I’m afraid the free coffees a month won’t be enticing me back for a while ..

Nice coffee and scone in cafe and bought some bargains and veg plants that are doing well

Disappointing visit to cafe . Breakfast was very slow service , food terrible & not even hot .would of complained but for fact could not of waited any longer for cooking again. At time of ordering cafe wasn’t busy . Worse breakfast ever had. Lack of staff to clear tables .

My friend and I normally go to Dobbies at least twice a week . We enjoy our visits as there is plenty of other things to look at after we have had our drinks . Unfortunately at the moment we are having to wait twenty minutes for our drinks . Which is a shame as the staff are so friendly and apologetic at the wait .

Very happy with all the staff and how organised the Royston branch is run . We'll done .especially to the mick who does a great job and professional and his colleagues

Got what I was looking for. Polite staff and very helpful.

Third year visiting Santas Grotto at Dobbies Royston. Started with the grotto which I have to say is always fantastic and the head Elf, surname Cooper, brilliant with the kids and just an all round great grotto. HOWEVER…
Then we went to the cafe for our booked afternoon tea for 1pm. Found a table. I went to the till, queued for quite some time. Not sure why times are relevant when there is no one seating people for bookings.
Then faced The Grinch. Showed my booking for festive afternoon tea. I was then told the table was set up “over there somewhere” as she waved her arms towards a very busy section at the back of the room. I then proceeded to order my drinks included in the festive tea to be told that juice is not included with the kids festive tea and she wanted proof it was. It was not mentioned on my email booking receipt but states it at time of booking.l and on the webpage . By the time I got the web page loaded, the lady at the counter called someone over to ask them if the children get a juice. She also did not know but told her to include the juice as a gesture. Then she pushed back and said “really?!”. Very embarrassing to be disputing in a busy cafe over two juices which I had actually paid for. This was our second festive tea and very disappointed about this experience. Adult festive tea, good value but no mince pies as advertised. Kids one very disappointed. They were served a plain scone but no clotted cream or jam. Very odd. Adult festive includes free refills of hot drinks but not worth it with queue size and no staff passing by. £44 for a very unmerry treat for the kids.

Straight in straight out no fuss or pushy salesmen

Used the restaurant, and lady serving us rather harassed and unsmiling. Upon returning for a dessert same lady was now very pleasant and helpful presumably as queue much less.

I found what I was looking for with choices. So I’m pleased I made a start towards Christmas things.

Full of interesting things and ideas. Staff always happy and pleasant. Good quality restaurant plants always good value for money

Great garden centre as always. Nice just to have a browse through and see what’s going on.

Very helpful staff in the restaurant, friendly and welcoming. Restaurant clean , children’s soft play perfect for my 2 year old granddaughter.
