Managed to find items I wanted, as they have been out of stock for ages

First time to the garden centre and restaurant in Brighton. Lovely staff but the food was lacking anything healthy. Im on a strict diet, I asked for a Nicoise salad, but was told it was out of stock. I wasn't offered another salad which was coming out on other peoples plates as an accompaniment. Everything else was very unhealthy. Kitchen wouldn't do anything to help, the staff who served me was trying very hard and also felt the frustration. No fruit on offer so I had to go and buy something from the shop and take it back into the restaurant. Terrible selection! The que to order food was also very long and took absolutely ages to be served. Not a good experience 😕

Had we came to look fo and it was good value for money. Pleasant staff.

The cafe front of house is always understaffed. One person taking orders, serving cakes, making coffees and taking the money. This results in HUGE queues. This is not a one off We have often walked away rather than experience a long wait to order. There always seem to be plenty of staff in the kitchen. Better management needed.

Found a beutiful dalia there and love it might have to save up to get more lol

Excellent delivery service, cannot fault it. It had everything I needed and it came the next day and was informed exactly when it was going to arrive. Marvellous.

Dobbies Brighton is a wonderful store with everything that you could want for the garden. Its such a shame that the restaurant does not have the same high standards. We love the store but the restaurant is outdated in terms of choices and range. It is like a cheap cafe. There are no vegan, plant based, healthy options demonstrating a complete lack of consideration for the environment, despite being in garden centre. It should be a example in environmental, fresh and healthy produce, reflecting the beautiful setting of Dobbies as a garden centre. It should be showcasing modern attitudes and scientific findings that support more plant based options and fresh produce, encouraging customers to consider their environmental impact through a modern menu. It is so disappointing to see such a lazy and old fashioned menu. It's not classy or modern and doesn't reflect the style/ethos of Dobbies or Waitrose, or Brighton!

Great breakfast, great range of both food, animal, home and garden bits and friendly staff

Had a lovely cake and tea dogs food and Waitrose shopping perfect day

Every item I wanted was readily available The centre was clean and well organized , staff were readily available, and having a Waitrose section was a godsend.

Relaxing no sales pressure. enjoying a leisurely cuppa in the restaurant waitrose quick shop ideal for bread and milk and sone treats.

Went for lunch today,ordered bacon brie and cranberry toastie and soup,3/4 hour went by so l went to the counter,the food was bought out,the soup looked like mashed swede,(lumpy) and was warm,the toasty was soggy,and had been sitting around for a while,didn't have time to complain as we had to be somewhere.Been here before and never had a problem, don't know what the problem was today,we left most of the food,not good

Staff very helpful particularly the young man at the check out being very pleasant helpful and efficient

All aspects very good. Cafe was well stocked and clean. Staff atentative and friendly. Willl definitely come back agan soon.
