Luxury Hotel type pillow

After been impressed with the goose down pillows at the Hilton in Lincoln where i stayed recently I set about searching for something similar online. I decided on the Hungarian goose down pillow from Diamond Bedding which was the best priced high specification pillow I could find. It arrived next day as per the notification emails from the courier DPD. The instructions were to gently puff it up before use which I did and over the next few hours the case plumped up. It was everything I had hoped for. The perfect combination of soft and supportive. For quality of product, customer service and price it can only be 5 stars from me.

Beware

This review is to advise potential buyers of the terrible customer service this company has provided. I purchased a pillow from this company, when the pillow eventually arrived (not by DPD as promised) the item was damaged, I reported the damage to the company to try and obtain a replacement but this is where the company should receive zero stars.
My communication with the company was ignored and they did not respond to until I got paypal involved and only then did they reply to my issue. The only problem was by this time I was outside of my 14 day return window even though the item arrived damaged.
The company was adamant they had not received any of the communication I had sent them, however if you take a look at the other poor reviews by other customers this seems to be a continuing theme with this company.
They deny they have received any communication from customers and only seem to get involved when paypal or card company get involved, they confirmed they had eventually found my communication but never responded.
The website looks good and in my opinion the impression I got was that the company was based in Covent Garden London when in fact the company is based on a housing estate in Yorkshire with several businesses being run from this residential address, just check companies house.

If the company responds to this review I would expect the usual stock review response saying they never received any communication even though they have already confirmed to me and paypal they have received it.

We are grateful TrustPilot has given us the opportunity to publicly respond to this review and provide a fair outlook on the situation as your review is unfortunately false and defamatory. There are a lot of inaccuracies in your review as well as information that has been conveniently left out.
First and foremost we would like to clarify that had we received any communication from you, as we always do, we would have responded. You mention that it was difficult to get in touch with us and you received no responses to your emails until you had got in touch with us through PayPal, however despite numerous requests for you to provide us with any screenshots of your emails, you did not provide any and to date we have no record of email correspondence with yourself.

Also, you mentioned that we denied receiving any communication from you and then we accepted that we had received communication from yourself, however that is not accurate. We have proof, if you would look back at the PayPal case, that we had not received any communication about a return from yourself and that the only communication which we received from you was when you came on our live chat to praise our pillows and discuss purchasing a further 6. We had provided screenshots of this on the PayPal case too and is one of the reasons why PayPal rejected the false claim and request for a refund at which point you then decided to leave a misleading review.
Another point which we would like to confront is about the damaged pillow. This was never mentioned when you came on live chat to mention how pleased you were with your pillow and how you were considering purchasing more. Once the PayPal case was opened, we had requested that you sent us photos of the ‘damaged pillow’ on multiple occasions, however you would not send any photos, this lead PayPal to come to the conclusion that there was no damaged pillow.

You also mentioned that we have offices in London but that we have offices and warehouses in other parts of the UK too, this is not a rarity for efficient operation. It is common practice for national companies to have several offices and warehouses.

While there may have been the odd few anomalies where customers had not received responses to their email, we have always got to the bottom of it when customers would provide the screenshots of their emails and realise that they had mistakenly made a spelling error when addressing the email or a similar problem.

In this instance when trying to sort the issue out, you had refused to provide any screenshots of sending us an email or photos of the damage which is why PayPal dismissed the claim that any emails had been sent from yourself. We also have two phone numbers on the website which you would have been able to call if you were not receiving responses to your emails. We have no calls from yourself.

We can see from your other reviews that you had also tried to obtain refunds for multiple appliances from other retailers around the same time as you were trying to obtain a refund for your bedding so we appreciate that sometimes, people’s financial situations can change or customers can regret making an expensive purchase especially in the current climate in which case we are very accommodating where we can be, however this was not the ideal way to go about it. Opening false PayPal claims and writing false reviews meant that we were no longer able to assist with this as we usually would.

I can thoroughly recommend Diamond…

I can thoroughly recommend Diamond Bedding. I purchased a Hungarian goose down quilt. The quilt arrived exceptionally quickly, today 22/3/21,only 2 days after I ordered it and the customer service when I had questions is 2nd to none which I think is the most important part of a business. Even when I called and didn't leave a message I was called back very quickly. The quilt looks excellent quality, I have had a down quilt before, just waiting for it to air and can't wait to put it on my bed,

In a nutshell

In a nutshell, Great ! Easy ordering quick delivery and right on time . Hungarian goose down was more than I usually pay for a duvet but it’s so cosy and warm . Ordered the 10.5 tog and hopefully not be too warm in summer . Wish I had one of these when working nights , think I’d have slept like a log on getting in so cosy bed Kind Regards from pleased Customer. Ok 👍

Buy one you won’t be disappointed

Had to get in touch with diamond bedding with regards to my Hungarian goose down quilt. Customer service was first class. They resolved my issue and sent a replacement quilt the same day. If your thinking about getting a quilt, don’t hesitate. Excellent value for money. Feels like your sleeping on a cloud.

Hungarian goose down duvet 13.5 tog

Hungarian goose down duvet 13.5 tog. Duvet has just arrived as promised and currently is airing to allow it to loft. Have to say on first inspection this looks to be a very good quality duvet, well sewn, light & soft.

I was a little unsure about using this website as the sale counter was dubious and made me wonder if the site was legit, however having checked out reviews on trust pilot I decided to go ahead and order, so glad I did, ordering was easy, delivery on time and hassle free, in addition the online chat function was helpful and friendly, will definitely consider using Diamond bedding in the future and will recommend to others.

A very superior duvet at a great price!

I was initially hesitant to use this company as I had not heard of them - but the price was substantially cheaper and the reviews good. I am glad I did. I purchased an all season Hungarian Goose Down duvet and have been using it for about a week. It is excellent - light but very warm. It is far superior in design, manufacture and warmth than my previous, more expensive, duvet purchased from a well known supplier. I will go no further than Diamond Bedding for future duvet purchases. Top Marks.

Hungarian Goose Down Duvet-highly recommended.

I purchased a King Size Hungarian Goose Down 10.5 tog duvet a couple of weeks ago. Excellent product that is really well made. Very soft and comfortable with a very good quality cotton cover. My previous duvets came from another Duvet Store at a much higher price. This duvet has a higher fill power plus it is 100% goose down unlike previous duvets with lower fill power and with 10% goose feather.

I had not looked this company previously which is a pity as I believe I could have saved a lot of money. I now know for the next time!

I have no hesitation in recommending this company and in particular this product.

How about this for going the extra mile!

SUNDAY
WOW! What fantastic service. Ordered on a Sunday, arrived at 10:00am on the Monday. Out of the box the product looks excellent quality too. Can't wait to get snuggled up underneath the duvet.

MONDAY
Left the duvet for 12hours to “Loft up” as suggested and then slept under it for the first night and all I can say is it's marvellous! Not too hot but snuggly warm (just the 10.5 part) and very light. A really great product at what seemed to be a really good price too.
I'd not heard of Diamond Bedding before this but I cannot praise them highly enough.
Thanks a lot. Highly recommended.

First class experience, great quality and fast delivery!

I had a terrible experience with another company (LancashireBedding or Lancashiretextiles) as a duvet from them arrived and it was rotten, it smelled rancid so naturally, I was apprehensive about buying another duvet. However, with Diamond Bedding it was such a different experience. The delivery was fast and the quality of the duvet is lovely, a dream to sleep in. No strange smells, just pure luxury and a very good price as well!

Was a bit concerned about ordering due…

Was a bit concerned about ordering due to the dodgy sale ending countdown which just resets everyday.

However, the delivery was very quick (and free) ordered Saturday and it came on Tuesday in the time frame I was given by DHL

My goose down duvet is currently waiting to fluff out properly but it already feels really soft and comfy and I can't wait to use it.

Would definitely order all my bedding from this company.

No stars here I’m afraid ...

I would if possible give no stars to this company. I also wish I had read these reviews before purchasing anything from them. Thankfully , the purchase was made through PayPal so I have received a refund this evening. In my brief contact with this company I have been mislead , promise a return call that never happened and even a higher quality duvet but unfortunately they missed the post ! All in all I think Diamond Bedding should be avoided at all cost , buy your duvet elsewhere , there are loads of trustworthy companies out there , this just isn’t one of them.

Having received the stock reply that this company gives EVERYONE , my comments remain the same. Avoid them , buy elsewhere , they are not worth the hassle.

Unfortunately, your parcel had not arrived the next day as it should have been due to an issue with the courier. Whilst 99% of our parcels are still being delivered the next day, couriers are under tremendous pressure due to the lockdown and due to Covid in general as online deliveries have surged. Since it is not safe for the public to be shopping outdoors, everyone has resorted to shopping online and this has lead to a sudden increase in the workload for couriers so every courier in the UK are struggling at the moment. Also, if a driver has any symptoms that may potentially be linked to Covid-19, they are advised to self-isolate at home and get tested. This means that courier companies have fewer staff whilst still having an increased workload.

When you spoke to us on the phone to inform us that your order had not arrived, our colleague was dealing with it and advised you that they would call you back after chasing up the delivery (this was the call back which you referred to) and it seemed like you were fine with this however a PayPal case was opened a few minutes after the phone call in which fraudulent claims were made. Due to this, we had to escalate the order to management as we cannot deal with orders which have a PayPal case pending.

We appreciate that you may have been apprehensive about ordering online and we can see that you have reviewed a lot of companies negatively since the lockdown started so we appreciate that you are not comfortable with ordering online and you are having to resort to shopping with online companies because of the COVID situation.

However, we would like to assure you that we are a genuine company and the little issue which happened with your parcel being delayed is something which can happen with a tiny minority of parcels from all companies, especially during this time of the year and with circumstances like these. We appreciate that you felt safer since you had paid with PayPal however even if you had not paid with PayPal, your money would have been safe with ourselves and we would have ensured that you would have received your item or honoured a refund at any point.

order for a Hungarian Goose duvet

I made an order for a Hungarian Goose down duvet, after 7 working days I decided to phone to enquire about delivery of my order, but I couldn’t get to speak to anyone on the phone and web chat wasn’t available so I emailed to request someone phone me. I said in my message that I was ‘thinking’ of cancelling my order. Low and behold I got a response informing me that Diamond Bedding were refunding me and that my order was cancelled. I was surprised at this reaction as I had said I was ‘thinking’ not that I wanted to, however if they couldn’t pick up the phone or email me to say when delivery was expected (the day or week etc) then maybe it was the right decision.

I am a bit dubious as to all the great feedback.

**UPDATE in response to Diamond Bedding feedback ***

Yes I did have a brief conversation with a sales person, but it was hard to understand possibly due to his accent or a bad line. Yes I did have a web chat, but initially the answers to my question were on the flippant side where the person apologised and answered my question , which was whether the casing/duvet was noisy. If it took 45 minutes to get to that answer it’s not my fault.

At no time was I informed to not hide my telephone number and when I phoned and left a message I left my phone number so I refute Diamond Beddings feedback as I have no missed calls or voicemail to say they called
I was 7 working days into a delivery time of 5-10 working days (hardly unreasonable to phone to enquire)

Instead I got an email saying
“The order was made under the pre-order conditions so it will be shipped out when the duvet is ready. However we have processed a refund for you :) “

Not really helpful, cancelled without discussing with me

As said before perhaps it’s better that it’s cancelled if this is how they treat there customers. I was always polite and courteous

After reviewing your case in detail, we are disappointed to see the claims which were made. Your order was a custom made order as you had specific requirements for your duvet and we had quoted a lead time which you had accepted. Although your duvet was a custom order, we had agreed to make it at no extra cost despite the higher material costs.

We can see from the records that you had spoken with our advisors in detail on the phone about your duvet requirements and you had spoken with our advisors for another 45 minutes on live chat in order to get the perfect duvet for yourself.

You tried to call for an update when we were half way through the quoted lead time period however we had previously mentioned that private calls are prioritised the least due to the amount of cold calls and fraudulent calls we receive from private numbers so we had asked that you always call without hiding your number or to leave a voicemail so that we can call you back. However, you had not left a voicemail so we did not know who to call back.

You had emailed us a few hours later mentioning how you wanted to cancel the order for a refund as you had made a mistake in your order so we had responded to your email within an hour and we had also honoured your request of the refund too.

Our staff had truly gone above and beyond for this order and this was proven by the long phone call and 45 minutes live chat conversation to discuss all of your requirements for the duvet, to waiving off the custom order charges for this duvet despite the higher materials cost and the short production time while other retailers are struggling to deliver their usual ranges in time as they are quoting 8 weeks for some of their duvets.

I wish I could give no stars

I wish I could give no stars. I ordered 2 items from diamond bedding over a month ago and didn't receive anything. After spending 138 pounds I was a little worried it was a scam. I used the chat feature to speak to someone and ask them about the order. I gave my order number but was then told I would receive a refund, this was confusing for me because I just wanted the items. Then the person speaking to me asked for my full name, which I explained was concerning for me as I was very suspicious and did not want to reveal any more of my personal information. After all, the person put a refund through to my PayPal without me giving any additional information or even asking for a refund.
So now I have wasted a month waiting for the items I bought as a gift, and have been spitefully refunded after enquiring about it. I am very disappointed. I would not recommend this company, especially if you would like to receive your order sometime this century.

The courier had made numerous delivery attempts in the beginning when you had placed your order however you were not at home at the time and you had not got in touch with the courier to make other arrangements after the first 3 delivery attempts. During this time, the parcel was waiting at the depot awaiting further instructions from yourself and you had not informed us about how you had not received your order yet otherwise we would have immediately helped to rearrange the delivery and ensured that you had received it within 24 hours of our team being informed.

Unfortunately, you reached out to our team a month later on live chat abusing our staff and when our advisor asked you to confirm the name on your order, you were reluctant to provide any details to help our advisors pass data protection and continued to accuse our company of being a 'scam' company whilst swearing at our advisors. Unfortunately, we cannot tolerate this sort of behaviour towards our staff and the order was cancelled and refunded.

Our staff had tried their best to assist you and we are always available to assist customers 7 days a week whether it is through emails, live chat or our phone lines. We are proud to be the only goose down specialist with customer services that are available 7 days a week as we want our customers to know that we are always on hand to assist customers. If there are every any issues, then it is easy to reach out to us and we try our best to solve any queries as efficiently as possible.

We have plenty of reviews from customers talking about how they love our company because of our customer service and how they have built relationships with our advisors too so we hope that this demonstrates how our advisors will always do their utmost best to go out of their way for every customer.

The usual place we buy our duvets from…

The usual place we buy our duvets from was out of stock for the duvet we needed so I decided to go ahead and buy one from diamond bedding. It arrived next day and is exactly what we wanted and at a much more reasonable price so all in all really pleased.

Not convinced it was a bargain, but it was great quality and good value

TL;DR - I liked them and bought some more

Buying bedding online is risky. Since Trustpilot was one of the places I checked before taking the plunge I'll add another review to help others. I've bought a fair number of down pillows over the years for our household or as gifts, and these are definitely very good quality at a pretty good price. I wish the site had been clearer about the "surround" build of the pillow which I don't think is described on the website but is stated on the product label - this isn't necessarily a negative and is very common in pillows to help them keep their shape, but then it's difficult to guess what's in the inner construction (down or feather or mixed, and what quality compared with down surrounding it). Ultimately you have to judge by how it feels - how it lofts, how it retains through the night, whether the surround feels thin, the quality of the fabric liner - and these pillows feel great. I've bought more.

Excellent product and customer service

I ordered a down duvet from this company. Excellent product and customer service. I used 'chat' which was very helpful and my duvet arrived next day- very nice to relax under whilst trying and trying to get a refund from another company which failed to deliver at all. (Also 40£ cheaper )
