Good experience sofa shopping - plenty of choice and the balance of attention from sales staff was right.

Both assistants were friendly and made the whole process easy and talked me through various options etc with what I was looking for. Phil also explained everything clearly and your terms and conditions etc. He was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks.

The lady was a great help in choosing the right sofas for us.

My overall customer journey and experience from DFS and their 3rd party delivery company since placing my order has been nothing short of abysmal.

After the point of sale I was promised a call back from my sales rep, which never happened.

The call was to discuss the approval of the discount I had added to my order, however I had to call twice to chase up the progress of the order.

I have had 2 deliverys, and require 3rd, 1st delivery item was faulty, the right facing power recline did not / would not work.

My first delivery, the sofa was not only faulty, the delivery driver disclosed that it was a reject from another job, which had gone back to the depot to be 'fixed', to be re sent back out to another customer, unfortunately this was myself.

This is absolutely disgraceful, and DFS ought to be ashamed of themselves, I have paid cash and upfront, thinking I was buying a brand new, high quality sofa, from a trusted supplier and brand, when in reality I am buying a second hand faulty reject. 

How many unknowing customers have succumb to the same scam? A scam is what this is!

My second delivery, to replace the faulty right hand side was AGAIN fault, and to add salt in the wounds, scratched badly, the fabric material is scratched and so is the touch pad for the recliner.

AGAIN proving this is not BRAND NEW and is in fact a 2nd hand rejected knock off.

The second delivery did not even have my ordered glides on the bottoms.

It was not until AFTER the delivery drivers had left I suddenly thought, I did not see them add the glides to the bottom of the new sofa.

Luckily enough they were still outside in the van, admitted they had not added this, and then added to the sofa.

Had I not remembered this, I would have missing items from my order, again not the level of service I would come to expect from a company the size of DFS.

I now have to take a 3rd day off work to sit in and wait for my 3rd delivery.

The after sales service has been shocking and virtually none existent.

The product quality and care of sofa I have bought is awful.

Their 3rd party delivery service has been awful, however the chaps themselves, were nice honest people and not at fault in anyway.

I have had to battle with DFS and the local store over compensation and refund of delivery charges.

They have not accepted any blame or wrong doing, not apologetic.

I have been waiting for a manager call back from the local store and yet to receive one.

Bailey that staff who attended to us have been very informative and have given us past customer experience about do’s and dont’s with sofa care which we highly appreciated.

Paul was very helpful made us feel at ease
He answered all our questions wasn’t pushy let us take the lead and time to think
He was very knowledgable about the product we are very happy with the service and the quality

We had no pressure put on us we were left to look even though the wife knew exactly what she wanted. The gentleman who dealt with us (bailey) was great went through everything and made it very easy to understand.

Staff where very good

Didn’t get hassled as soon as we walked in the door as DFS has in the past, the staff were on hand when we needed them, the Assistant Manager in the Hull store was great with answering our enquiries and pointing us to the current saving options we could make with our purchases
