Very supportive with my first house purchase.

I'm nearing the end of a voluntary liquidation for my old contracting limited company. The process from the liquidator is thorough, and I am not unhappy with them, but I am more than ready for it to be over! My final hurdle was to find a local solicitor for the witnessing of a declaration of solvency. I also was in need of doing this rather promptly, in order to beat a financial deadline.

So it was very helpful to have a word-of-mouth recommendation for Davisons Law. I rang up, was put through to a Mr Akhtar at Edgbaston, who was able to fit me into his diary the very next day. It was a very personable experience, and it was most pleasant to spend more time on conversation than on matters of business.

Since the peppercorn fee for the work felt insufficient for my positive experience, the least I can do is write a happy review. I may yet meet my deadline! 🤩

We had a great experience with the solicitors team. They were knowledgeable, supportive, and handled our case very efficiently. Communication was clear and timely, which made the whole process much easier.

I have used Davisons twice now for conveyancing, I cannot fault the service I have received, fantastic communication, speedy service, polite and friendly staff, reasonable pricing for fees. Highly recommend.

This is the third sale that Davisons Law have managed for me in three years and whilst any property sale has challenges, this firm manages third parties well and I would recommend them and use them again.

Bundala, Harry and the team were great from start to finish. Always responsive, answered all questions and made the process as easy as it could be. Couldnt recommend highly enough. Dont plan on moving anytime soon, but if we did, we would only use these guys.

Our purchase was delayed many times on the vendor side so when I would ask for an update, I would have this within 24 hours.

Nataleigh Logan at Daivsons Law, was a delight to work with on my property purchase. She was super professional but also very patient and friendly to work with, Nataleigh always answered my emails and questions promptly and was always pushing forward to get to completion asap. I really couldn’t recommend her enough.

Thamanna took care of the sale of our house and purchase on the new one, she was great and easy to deal with and would definitely recommend and use again. I nearly didn’t give 5 stars because the people purchasing our house slowed everything to an almost unbelievable level making the whole process a painful one. This was obviously not Thamanna’s fault and she do everything she could to get the job done even offering to work in her personal time to get the sale completed in time for mortgage offers.

Having seen Davisons standard response to all negative reviews (we don’t have any details about this and don’t recognize you- despite all of the clients giving very specific details with names and dates) I called them and said my elderly mother no longer wanted them to call. They went right ahead and called the next day trying to arrange an appointment for her to use the services anyway.

And see now the response below- I rest my case.

I instructed Davisons Law in late 2024 for the purchase of a property in Birmingham, following a recommendation from the estate agent.

Unfortunately, the experience proved significantly more stressful than it should have been. Communication regarding progress and outstanding enquiries was often unclear, and a change of conveyancer mid-transaction appeared to slow momentum at a critical stage. I did not have any direct introductory conversation with either conveyancer handling the file, which made it difficult to feel a sense of clarity or continuity during what is a substantial financial commitment.

The purchase was time-sensitive due to an imminent stamp duty change and my own professional commitments, making responsiveness and transparency especially important. When I raised concerns about progress and timelines, the firm chose to cease acting on my behalf, citing a breakdown in trust and confidence.

Being disengaged at that stage created significant uncertainty and very nearly caused the transaction to collapse. Only the patience of the seller allowed the matter to ultimately proceed. The stress during that period was considerable.

What I found most disappointing was the absence of any meaningful acknowledgement of the concerns raised or attempt to resolve matters before the retainer was terminated.

Since then, I have used another firm for conveyancing and experienced a noticeably higher standard of proactive communication, transparency and client care. The difference was clear.

Every client’s experience may differ, but for anyone involved in a time-critical transaction, careful consideration is advisable. Consistency, openness and constructive engagement when concerns are raised are fundamental to the service.

I can’t thank Nataleigh Logan enough for the support she gave me while purchasing my home. From start to finish, she was incredibly helpful, patient, and reassuring. She took the time to explain everything clearly, always kept me updated, and was quick to respond whenever I had questions or concerns. Buying a house can be overwhelming, but Nataleigh made the whole process feel much less stressful and far more manageable. I genuinely felt supported throughout and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a solicitor they can trust.

Absolutely dreadful Company, avoid at all costs!
We used the Leamington branch in the sale and purchase of properties. A catalogue of errors is what we experienced. They took a £500 up front payment from us and then down the line asked for £330 to obtain a “sales pack” from the management company that ran the management of our new build. I payed by return of their email link to add the funds to our account. Several weeks later, and a further hold up to our sale, I found out that Davisons had not even applied for the “sales pack”! This caused further stress and delays. Our sale/purchase involved just 3 people. Our buyers were first time buyers and our vendor was purchasing an unoccupied house, it should have been very straightforward. Following this, was one delay after another! As we neared exchange of contracts we were sent our mortgage redemption statement, well, when I say this it was not ours at all! They emailed us the redemption statement and personal details of another sale that they were dealing with which just happened to be some neighbours of ours! I was totally shocked and reported back to them immediately that they had breached GDPR!
Davisons were completely flippant about their behaviour and from there on our solicitor completely blanked us and left her assistant to deal with our case. 3 months down the line, we have received an email advising that the Land Registry has not accepted our witness signature and requested that we get the forms signed again to re-submit. I called and emailed and have not had a response following leaving 2 voicemails at their office to be called! I have this evening spoken to their compliance manger who is totally dismissive, rude and arrogant, telling me that if the assistant is away from her desk he will just leave her a message to get back to me at her availability!
Can this company get any worse? Watch this space!
