The location was fantastic, peaceful and loved the sound of the waves sitting on the patio. Facilities were good, Huts could do with a bit of an update.

All in all we had a really relaxing break, so much so we have booked a break next year.

We stopped in lindon 2.
First impressions were good until closer Inspection.
The place did need a good clean on inspection, dirt in corners of the room. I myself had 4 insect bites overnight. Possibly dust mites who knows by how dusty the place was. Bathroom needs replacing showers small and I'm not a large person. The shower tray was dirty, tiles cracked. A pube was in the sink on arrival. Wasn't ours as we are a blonde and ginger family so clearly not ours.
Could be a great site, needs refurbing now as tired looking. Smart tvs definitely. We had to screen clone from our phones. Not expecting to do that or should have to do that for the price.
Ev charging facility was great. Perhaps another plug if gets popular.
Staff on site were pleaseant.

We have been here before and what a fabulous place it is.
If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you ,this time we are having the hot tub
Can’t wait to go again, and the staff are helpful and very friendly .

Stayed at Hawkchurch in Axminster. We reported the faults in our lodge, sent an email after our stay and had no feedback as to why the lodge had black mould and a shower with rust and holes with water spurting every where. Why the cooker was filthy and why the lodge felt generally unclean. I left a review on another site due to the silence and the reply was all complaints are investigated and somebody gets back???! Strange after 10 days still nothing.

⭐☆☆☆☆ The worst holiday we’ve ever experienced.

Where do I even begin?

This holiday was supposed to be a chance for our family to relax and make memories together. Instead, it has been dominated by problems, complaints, emails, phone calls and hours of our own time trying to get basic issues resolved.

From the very beginning, things went wrong.

When we reported problems, we weren’t helped efficiently. Instead, we were passed from one department to another, repeatedly asked to resend information that Darwin Escapes had already been given, and spent hours of our holiday chasing people because of mistakes that weren’t ours.

Just when we thought things couldn’t get any worse, at around 9:45 p.m. one evening we lost the lights in the main bathroom, hallway and second bedroom. We also had no hot water.

Naturally, we rang the emergency out-of-hours number we had been provided.

Nobody was available.

Think about that for a moment.

Guests are left without lighting, without hot water and without emergency assistance.

That is simply unacceptable.

This wasn’t a minor inconvenience. It was the latest in a catalogue of issues that completely overshadowed what should have been a relaxing family break.

The most disappointing part wasn’t just the problems themselves. Things can go wrong anywhere.

It was the way they were handled.

Poor communication.

Being passed between departments.

Repeatedly having to chase updates.

Hours of holiday wasted trying to resolve issues that should never have become our responsibility.

By the end of our stay, we felt exhausted, frustrated and completely let down.

For the amount of money people spend on a holiday, you expect accommodation that works, support when something goes wrong and customer service that genuinely cares about putting things right.

Sadly, that wasn’t our experience.

I sincerely hope Darwin Escapes takes this feedback seriously because no family should have the holiday we’ve experienced.

Based on our experience, we simply cannot recommend Wareham Forest Lodge Retreat or Darwin Escapes.

trying to put me off saying in have to book with hoseasons why? i had already filled in an online form direct to the holiday park

We stayed at Piran Meadows in a St Austell 3 pet friendly for a week. Very central to reach most tourist attractions in Cornwall. Caravan very clean with plenty of storage space and had all the equipment we needed x The site facilities we used (bar, restaurant and gym) were very clean and staff were helpful. Our caravan had the best shower ever.Although site was apparently fully booked - it was peaceful. Would definitely return.

Simple and straightforward to make booking. However unable to select non pet lodge. Only negative.

We stayed in the Wordsworth Lodge (pet friendly). On our arrival we were given the keys we entered the lodge there was a smell of sewage and a ridiculous amount of flies.
We noticed how tatty and tired the lodge looked:
Ripped curtains & arm chairs, laminate flooring & skirting board lifting. Unclean paint work.
We spoke to reception staff who provided us with a can of fly spray & told us to run the water for 5mins to remove the smell of sewage (worked to a degree). We were told some of the lodges are tired looking and they are in the process of updating them...not good enough.

Omg what a great place to stay, staff friendly, location great, site very nice, lodge number 5 fantastic, really enjoyed the private back patio and the hot tub, lodge was very clean and comfortable

Lovely site well kept, dog friendly site, beach in walking distance.lodge was lovely and clean with everything you needed for your holiday, and best of all a HOT TUB.

The park was beautiful quiet and stunning views. Comfortable accommodation well equipped friendly staff. I thought the doggy gift box was a lovely touch.xx

We are absolutely delighted to own a holiday home at Aberconwy Resort & Spa. It has truly been a life changing experience for our family. We explored several options across the region and carried out extensive research before making our decision, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice.

What started as a holiday destination has become so much more, it has become a lifestyle. Even those who have owned their holiday homes here for many years still speak with excitement about returning to the resort, which says everything about the unique atmosphere and experience Aberconwy Resort & Spa offers.

We would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to create lasting memories and enjoy the very best of holiday home ownership.
