Really helpful advice, much appreciated.

Salesman very patient with me (nearly 80!)

Despite it being so close to closing time, the very efficient and attentive assistant, who certainly knew her stuff, was so on point I was able to make a swift decision, make the order according to my requirements, conclude the purchase and I was even accompanied out of the store as the entrance was already closed. A very satisfying experience!

Great selection, staff really helpful a d great discount

Then to the set up.
What patience that young lady had with me.

Edit so I can answer the reply from Ben at Curry’s,

I would be left with a far better impression of you if someone actually read and responded to my original complaint, rather than giving a generic response and zero follow up, like you have now done a second time.

So, I wrote a scathing review about 2 months ago, after receiving the worst customer service I have ever experienced, after buying a laptop and consistently being sent the wrong item, being on hold for hours at a time and losing hours on the online chat function.
Then Currys responded to my review with a very absolving apology and sent me an email asking all about it.
I responded to the email, explaining everything that happened, complete with days, times, order numbers etc…

Then, absolutely ghosted.

They pretend like they care to make their TrustPilot reviews look better, but it’s just total lip service.
No response, no further action, no anything.
I should have bought it anywhere else!

Sales consultant Ade at Southend was excellent. He has good customer service, good communication skills. Was happy with the customer care

Excellent service from Currys as was buying a TV. Needed one just using internet and got what I thought was the right one but on checking when home wad going to be too large. Went back to the store and they sorted it all out and then bought a 43in Hisense which is just right. Great service from Andy at Currys. Delivery was efficient

Went to buy a carpet cleaner. Last one left was a display model. Member of staff couldn't find the attachments. I left my details for him to contact me regarding the purchase. 2 weeks later and still no call to tell me if I can buy the cleaner or not. When I ring them they tell me to go to the store. Never mind its miles away and I have a baby. Customer service seems non existing to me.

Staff not very friendly. very slow to respond.and my order 4 days now but . I did not hear anything to be delivered.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. The kettle and toaster I bought there are excellent. I prefer to buy in the shop rather than online as the staff can answer any questions I have.

On Friday the 28th of August 2026 I visited Curry's Southend store Unit 2 London Road SS1 1pp Branch 2395.

I went to Curry's at Southend with a query about my laptop, when I arrived at the store I explained to a member of staff, my query & he said my colleague Darren on the desk will be able to assist you.

When me & my son took a seat at Darren's desk, I knew my son would ask about an Xbox.
Darren was very helpful in explaining the Two types of Xbox's on sale at Curry's he went into great detail about the product, I found Darren a very knowledgeable, dedicated, diligent member of staff, Darren then searched through the computer for what stock they had at the store, he found the best deal for the Xbox & I was happy with him to proceed with the sale I added Curry's extended care warranty Insurance for 5 or 8 years, I found that Darren is a very professional, productive team player

Nothing was to much to ask Darren to do, after the sale of the Xbox. I asked him my query about my laptop to which he looked at my laptop, after he made some adjustments changing the time & he explained about the McAfee security cards that you can buy them from Curry's & the time of protection that was left on my laptop.

After this was all sorted I told Darren how happy I was with his customer care, knowledge, and professionalism, I have bought all my household products from Curry's in the past & I wouldn't shop anywhere else for them. Curry's do price match so If you say to them this product is cheaper at lets say John Lewis & Curry's are dearer they will match it so you walk away from there stores with the product you want & maybe more.

I have always had a very positive experience with Curry's & I hope this continues into the future.
