Ok so after supplying me with the wrong thermocouple and after many ruined firings I was promised a replacement - I believe they are now playing games as I am told when asked why it is taking so long they say mon/ Tues or the system is down. I am so very disappointed in their tech who ignore emails and just make it up as they go along. They have had plenty of time to supply a replacement and yet I will be ringing again tomorrow to see what pathetic excuse they have for the item still not being delivered.
So very fed up with poor service.

Luke and the team are extremely friendly, helpful and professional . I have bought a kiln and more recently (yesterday) a pottery wheel, and i am extremely satisfied with both. In terms of quality of the products there is no other that comes close . Extremely good customer service would not hesitate to recommend

We live in Australia. My wife is an amateur doll maker and has on old Hobbytech 40 kiln. To keep this kiln running she relies on the expertise of the Cromartie UK staff. They are so helpful with technical support and advice, particularly Luke and Simon. If a part is needed, it is in the post and usually received within a week.

Ordered some piggybacking that cost £37 plus £12 postage. They arrived smashed so I phoned for advice and was told to return them. A further cost of £8. £37 was refunded so I called and requested the postage fee. This was refused until I informed them that under the Consumer act I was entitled to my postage return as the breakages were not my fault. They agreed in an email I was owed £57. They sent me £47. I called and asked again for the £8 difference and was told I should have asked them to arrange a courier so that I wouldnt have had to pay to return from my end. Why didnt they offer this when I called for advice in the first place and was told to return them? I was told by an admin assistant that they would have to ask about the £8, even though they had already acknowledged they would pay this but I never heard from them again. Just not impressed with the standard of customer service of this business.

Received a fantastic service from Cromartie’s with our recent purchase of a Skutt kiln and two Bailey G34 wheels. Service was amazing from start to finish. Simon looked after us throughout, Luke’s knowledge and advice about kilns was invaluable and the whole team got our purchases through quality control (they test these items before they are sent out) and delivered to us super fast. Price was also the best.

Bailey wheels are fab so can also highly recommend them. We don’t have kiln up and running yet but I am sure it will be too … any issues I have every faith Cromartie’s will be on hand to help x

I bought a SKUTT Glazetech 13 amp.
You know how one feels if they bought a Lamborghini?? That’s how I feel. SO excited!! The kiln is a little beauty. She has a brilliant controller that’s intuitive. Andy & Luke from Cromartie were on hand through the installation & they took us through by video call. There was a hook missing for the lid holder & I woke up this morning & it had arrived!! It was only on Friday we made the call & discovered the hook was missing so replacing it so quickly was lovely.
The staff are great. They are very calm. They have very kind voices so I was really nervous about buying a kiln as I’ve just started doing glass but their voices on the phone always calmed me down, they had this - it’s not the end of the world attitude- we can fix this. This was really good for me as I have been suffering from anxiety since lockdown after which I have given up work but can’t claim benefits as I own a house etc so it’s all been quite scary spending on something so new & foreign but Cromartie helped me, down to batt washing the shelves. Andy told me what to do. There was some batt wash in my package. The kiln is really wonderful- it fits into a little outdoor hallway which we converted to a kiln room. I was surprised at the cost - I thought I was buying a reconditioned kiln as everywhere else I looked the same size kiln was over £3.7k this was £2.2k this works on a 13 amp plug. The best bit - it fused so beautifully I wanted to cry with delight. I am sending some videos later. I totally recommend this kiln if ure like me - starting off & needing something u can use at home & that u can programme yourself with brilliant results & u don’t have a budget of over £2.5k. Another thing - their service is REALLY quick. Other companies I contacted would take 8 weeks - Cromartie had mine sent off almost immediately. I was able to choose the day but their 1st delivery date was within 2 days of my order. I asked for a few more days as I needed a builder to help me but they can have it with u almost immediately if u choose it. They are very lovely to deal with. I will be buying any further items from them & I recommend this company & kiln 100%

Fantastic experience with CromartieHobbycraft, their support with kilns is second to none. I have an old second hand kiln and they happily talk me through keeping it running. I'm based in the Outer Hebrides so can't get anyone to come and service/fix it.
I just needed some new regulators for the kiln this week, they came the very next day!
