Breach of Privacy and Security Consistently.

I have evidence of them emailing two previous employees emails 2 years after they had been removed from our accounts asking them as authorizers to confirm payments and providing details of the payment information.

Disorgansied and Poor Customer Service.

I have been in communications with them for a month now to close our accounts. They pass me on from the generic service team to our account manager, our account manager passes us back onto the generic service team. Appalling. I have gotten nowhere.

Convoluted, Lack of Transparency, Hard to Use Platform.

The platform has multiple ways to make payment, even though its the same mechanic of transferring funds.

No transparency if payment actually has happened.

No bank statements to integrate with accounting software. Have to manually adjust their 'payment summaries' to actually work like a bank statement to integrate into accounting software.

They barely can even process the payments. Have to email us to confirm details all the time, they do these DAYS AFTER we submit the payment. Ultra frustrating.

No transparency of when you actually receive payments. Again, they have to manually confirm if payments were actually intended for us DAYS AFTER our clients have paid us.

Would never recommend, you'll get stuck in this honestly horrid platform not being able to actually make or receive any payments.

They sent me generic email saying they would investigate hopefully in 15 days but no guarantee, no specifics to my compliants here at all.

Oh and icing on the cake -

They emailed me claiming over $300 in fees owed, which they say were not deducted at the time of processing across a vague and inconsistent set of payments over the past 9 months, and stated these must be paid before they can close the account. We were never informed anywhere that these fees hadn’t been processed as instructed when making the transaction at the time. It is their responsibility to deduct fees at the time of payment, as agreed when the payments were made literally a tickbox. Absolutely ridiculous.

Bad customer service

Bad customer service.
I called them because their online tracker failed to show my transaction status

Because its my first time using for uni payment so i want to get clarification

When i ask is this convers customer service they are like “yea are you calling the wrong phone number or something?”

Felt unsafe entrusting my transfer to the team

The email-based process was too slow…

The email-based process was too slow and stressful in time-critical situations like mine. It put an incredible pressure on me as my case was really urgent and time sensitive.However, my experience with the customer service team over the phone was excellent. They handled my case quickly, patiently, and with genuine commitment, and resolved the issue efficiently. I truly appreciated their professionalism and responsiveness.

Quality service

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Ana in Student Support for her exceptional professional assistance. She successfully resolved a difficult and 'painful' situation regarding my daughter’s tuition transfer—an issue that had unfortunately resulted in a long string of back-and-forth emails.

Ana stands out because of her kind tone, her patient listening, and her obvious expertise in problem-solving. She is a true asset to Convera, and I am very grateful for her help.

Terrible payment process

Terrible payment process! Confusing and unreliable. University never recieved money!! All because they need different reference for every payment!! Without being told too use a different reference Website is crap.

Customer care is extremely bad

Customer care is extremely bad. No contact number.

P.S. They have answered saying they will look into it, but it's simply not true. These platforms thrive when they can avoid all the work and struggle of customer attention.

I don't recommend Convera

I don't recommend Convera. We have used Convera and its predecessor for many years for our law firm's international payments to foreign associates. When I tried to pay our web designer in India (who I have paid before on GlobalPay) the payment was rejected unless I provided a lot of personal data about the payee. The rejection letter was sent by "Customer Care" (ironic) and it was followed up with another similar message when I pushed back, saying only that the payment violated their policies. There was no attempt to provide even a bit of explanation for this, or an actual person to speak with. I am closing our account today. The requirements for making payments become more draconian by the day, and customer service is very bad.

Convera isn’t efficient at all

Convera isn’t efficient at all, staffs like to blame it on their partner bank for everything, please avoid this company and use Flywire instead!!!

Warning

I have used Convera to send funds to my Son two weeks ago but unfortunately funds have not arrived and after sending a number of emails to inward payment section got no response at all ,
not happy with the situation so be very careful if thinking of using Convera,

I made a payment for my son’s tuition…

I made a payment for my son’s tuition fee on 16th December 2025. I have already provided the SWIFT copy as proof of payment and included it in the inquiry. However, the fee has still not been reflected online.

I have generated seven or eight inquiries so far, but I have not received any positive reply yet. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue as soon as possible?

Horrendouse do not use

Horrendous, do not use. Been a customer of Western Union for 20 years, these clouds take over, and it's just a shambles. Multiple times, you have to reconfirm your identity year after year. Still, this year their identification systesm would not work, they either did not work at all, when you got through the agent said the systems were down, or their camera could not read your id as it was not being held still enough I made three separate request to fix their systems and asked to identify in person instead they shut down my ability to pay my supplier they have been paying for 15 years...

Very poor service

Very poor service and customer service representatives from Convera. I had already made payment of £5750 through them and was trying to make further payments but they kept rejecting all the cards I used. I called them several times and they kept suggesting any tangible solutions. It is obvious the issue is from their fraud detection team and they can't solve it from their end and was only told this after a week of calling them daily and spending over 30 minutes each time to connect through to them. I'm frustrated as that is the only payment method the school accepts. Very poor service.

DO NOT USE

Truly a terrible company. I am located in Canada and paying a US institution. Their customer service is ABYSMAL, with conversations going in loops. Payments get lost or delayed EVERY MONTH with no explanation. Now their payment status tracking tool is broken too.

International wire transfers for uni tuition

The University of Delaware uses Convera to facilitate our international transfer tuition payments. More than their platform and tools, their responsive and helpful team is what makes them reliable and trustworthy. They made a point to answer my emails, provide with my the information I need, and patiently worked on a specific wrinkle which I partly caused. For the most part, everything is smooth and easy.

Not very reliable. A lot of mistakes

The payment did not go through and the university kept chasing me up for the payment
nobody could clear the payment. very difficult to get someone to talk to.

Absolutely horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible customer service, they don’t care about your business and will not do anything extra to get your payment going. Their intermediary bank returned my payment and provided no reason for return, I been waiting for over a week to get this case resolved, all their agents work from home and give a zero F about you and your payments
