The stockings are excellent.
The stockings are excellent and certainly do their job. I have not given 5 stars because I found the instruction diagrams difficult to work out and all viseos of Fitlegs compression stockings showed a different model. However, once you have worked out how to put them on it becomes easier with practice.

Confotable compression stockings that fit
My wife is short with not slim legs, so it was good to be able to view all the measurements including the ankles. Hospital ones tried to take her foot off at the ankle. Good colour which doesn't give the game away as well

Not appropriate for an existing DVT sufferer
I bought the stockings because I have Deep Vein Thrombosis in one leg. I found that, after wearing one stocking for half a day, the elastic at the top had bitten deeply into the flesh of my leg. First, this was quite painful, secondly it risked reducing the flow of blood within the leg, the opposite of what is required

I can confirm that these stockings are designed to help reducing the development of DVT.
Given your comments, it could well be the case that you might need a different size of stockings to allow for a more comfortable fit.

I was impressed that the company contacted me to tell me that the stockings would be a few days late. They were still delivered within 2 weeks of ordering.
The stockings themselves are not as firm as the ones I had previously.

Ripped first time I tried to put them on
Ordered medium according to their size chart as I wear a UK 8 or 8.5. Took 6 days to arrive, which is ok for a non-Amazon website. Pulled on the left sock which was ok if a little looser than expected (and I have big calves). Trued to pull on the right and it ripped. Looked at the return s policy but nothing about faulty items so I emailed with a photo. No response yet and having read some of the reviews I’m not holding out much hope of a refund.
Still no response or acknowledgement to my email 24 hours later.
You’re response said you replied within 24 hours but my email was sent at 14:47 and you didn’t email back until 16:37. And your response was basically saying you’d have to send the sock off to be tested to see if it was faulty. I sent a photo of it. If I was after a replacement rather than a refund why not just send that instead of threatening me with postage costs? The customer is always wrong in your book, eh?
Terrible communication style.

Beware of scam
Beware of scam! The website claims that you can returns products that are intact but it is not the case! Just been refused to return or exchange a product because apparently that is their policy. Appaling service. Not acceptable.

At CompressionStockings.co.uk, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest levels of hygiene for all of our products and for this reason this item is non-refundable and non-returnable if unsuitable or unwanted on grounds of hygiene. The only exception to this is if products are returned within 14 days and are unopened and unworn in their original packaging.
To ensure our customers fully understand this, they have to tick a declaration agreeing that they understand this before their order can be completed.
