We used CollegeTransitions in the fall of 2025 to support our son applying to college for the class of 2030.

From our very first call with Andrew we felt like we were in good hands and with someone who really understood what we needed. He connected our son with Emily, and from the very first call they had she helped him focus his thinking and pulled out of him ideas and perspectives that I think surprised even him!

The pricing model is also very parent-friendly, much more so than the other firms we considered.

Our son was accepted into his first choice school, a highly competitive university, in Early Decision. We have recommended Andrew and his team many times already, and will continue to do so.

The College Transitions team is awesome! They do a wonderful job of truly catering their services to each student and personalizing the experience. And, of course, their work is extremely comprehensive, guiding each student through every step of the college admissions process. They are also very intentional with their actions, assigning the right advisers and writing coaches to each student.

Throughout my process, the team understood my ultimate goals and motivations for my college experience. I wanted to attend a school with an elite academic culture yet an enjoyable college experience. They understood that college is the unique bridge between high school and the professional world, helping me recognize which schools would best set me up for success post grad. College Transitions helped me reach my dreams at Duke.

Good, in love using it

We were referred to Michael and Andrew to help in our decision regarding should our senior son go to college and if so, what might be good options. We were at a loss because high school counselors were not giving helpful recommendations. I want to say in the beginning, the experience was EXTRAORDINARY and far surpassed our expectations. Michael and Andrew were able to understand our son, identify his strengths and weaknesses, and make solid and specific recommendations. Ultimately, he was accepted to all four colleges to which he applied that were recommended. He was supported in both his filling out his college applications to highlight his strengths and help with his college essay was fantastic. Michael and Andrew then referred us to a tutoring service for SAT and he was able to raise his scores 300 points to qualify him for Florida bright future scholarship! The individualized recommendations and attention that our son received in the process was amazing. If you have concerns about the cost, we ultimately achieved scholarship money that was otherwise unobtainable and far exceeded the cost of this program; it is so worth the investment! Additionally, the self-confidence gained by our son throughout this process is invaluable.

Michael and his team provided excellent support, resources, encouragement, realistic advice/expectations, and made the entire process so much smoother than I ever could have imagined. Never did I once feel overwhelmed by the workload of applications or that I didn’t know where I stood or what my next steps were— I always felt that I was putting my best foot forward after applying their advice. College transitions was extremely helpful in my transfer process. They were always able to meet to discuss essays, and provided extremely helpful and useful feedback. My advisor Michael Trivette was amazing, he responded to emails quickly and with pertinent information. I loved my experience with college transitions, and I was able to transfer to a school I love. College transitions was very knowledgeable about the transfer process and made me feel extremely confident and comfortable in my decision to transfer.

We purchased the unlimited plan, and it was helpful to have our counselor just an email away whenever we had a quick question. In addition, the counselors helped greatly with creating a list of potential colleges to apply to. However, I think the most helpful part of the package was the writing coach, who reviewed drafts in a timely manner, gave me inspiration when I was stuck, and helped tidy up my writing so it was presentable.
