Liked the products but put off purchasing licenses by rude pre-sales staff. If pre-sales is like this, makes me wonder what support is like afterwards? Also they make it seem like they are doing... Leggi di più

Easy to setup to Backblaze - But I have only tried the Home free edition.
Works great
Works great, and integration with Backblaze was straightforward..
Good and easy to use
Looks good and easy to use to (automatically) backup documents to the cloud. Integrates perfectly with backblaze b2.
Coming from Crashplan after they…
Coming from Crashplan after they abandoned their Home plan, I wish I had chosen Cloudberry in the first place. It is a much easier, more intuitive and a lot faster to backup and restore.
I'm so happy with Cloudberry
I'm so happy with Cloudberry. Now i have a good and cheap back-up solution. Not only because it is cheap, but also it is a fully working back-up solution that helps me and my company in this scary world with all the scare thing on the internet. Thank you!
Solid option with many backend storage options, probably best for small to medium shops.
I replaced a previous solution that is dropping support for peer to peer backup. With peer to peer we can pre-seed a remote peer in the same city inexpensively as well as perform a fast recovery if needed. For more tactical backups we use peer to peer, and for more strategic backup we use one of the large cloud providers.
Besides many backend storage options, there other many other good features like client side encryption, block level backup, and compression. The per client price is reasonable and it is well suited for SOHO and smaller shops. There is a centrally managed solution that relies on connecting to a cloudberry server. This should provide some upward scalability, but I have not explored this.
Setup was straight forward providing your back end storage is already established. If you don't have a storage provider already, this of course will add time as that will have to also be setup before Cloudberry can be used.
The interface could use some updating. The product functionality is beyond the scope of understanding for most people without an IT background, yet the interface feels like it's targeted for end users, who typically are looking for an all-in-one integrated push button solution. It would be better if the interface had beginner mode, and an expert mode.
For example, when editing an existing backup set, one has to go through a wizard like interface with many screens even if you are only changing one thing. The user is forced to keep clicking Next>Next>Next>Next>Next>Next> until you are finally able to save your changes. Experienced people rather have all the information on a screen or two and be able to quickly get the area they need to modify.
I've only had one question and I emailed technical support. My question was addressed in less than 24h which is reasonable. I know there are higher levels of support for additional cost if you need faster response time.
Straight forward and easy to use
Straight forward and easy to use. Simple interface is easy to navigate. Great features of pausing and resuming. End reporting also gives piece of mind.
After being sent packing by CrashPlan....
After being sent packing by CrashPlan, being that I'm not an enterprise customer and they're moving to an enterprise-only product offering, I found Amazon S3 and needed a good front-end. In fact, Cloudberry on top of S3 was the only solution that met all of my needs. I won't get into what those needs were, but a couple of examples are file versioning, flexible retention criteria, and easy file restoration. I had quite a few others. Honestly, I can't remember all of them at this point. Most of the consumer-priced solutions were lacking in one way or another. Although S3 supported 100% of the features and is dirt cheap for raw backup, you really must have some kind of front end, and the others I considered (there aren't many) were either lacking in features or lacking in a straightforward UI. Cloudberry was a relief, because until I found it thanks to Steve Gibson's mention on his Security Now podcast, I was bothered that there didn't seem to be any alternative to CrashPlan that was going to meet all of my needs, and something was going to be compromised. So in short, Cloudberry will also support other services in the event that I become unhappy with S3, Cloudberry is pretty simple to use, and Cloudberry has not only every single backup and restoration feature I wanted, but many that I don't personally need but am thrilled to know it could do if I were to need them. There is a lot of flexibility in its end-to-end "trust no one" encryption capability that I intend to explore at some point. I have to disclose that I'm still using the free version because it does happen to support everything I've needed, but I keep feeling like I want to go buy the paid version just to encourage ongoing development and help improve the chances that I'll still have this product in my hands for the foreseeable future.
It just works
It just works. No fuss no muss. You link your AWS account to the backup software, you select the directories to backup and the schedule, done. Really, its that easy. I get an email each day with the results of the backup.
This company seems dedicated to …
This company seems dedicated to producing a quality product. I have been having a pre-sale issue with backing up to Wasabi. I am hopeful that their support team will identify/fix the issue. The backup product has all of the necessary features to fully enable cloud backup.
Good DIY Backup Solution
I have been evaluating CloudBerry Desktop Backup on a Windows 10 machine and a Linux (Mint 17.1) machine for about a week now. I am uploading to a Backblaze B2 account and have numerous backup plans uploading to a number of Backblaze buckets as well as doing some LAN backups to a local file server on our network. So far, everything has worked really well. I do wish the Linux version's feature set was as robust as the Windows version. With that being said though, both versions are adequately meeting my needs.
For the few minor issues I have had Cloudberry's support has been very responsive and helpful.
Would recommend.
Great backup product
Great backup product. Very easy to get it and daily-weekly use.
Works well.
Works well so far. If you have some tech knowledge, it's a great personal backup solution. Recommended.
the tool is easy to use - a great bargin for the price!!
the tool is easy to use, and easy to navigate. It provides an increasingly easy interface into AWS Cloud Management. I've tried using the AWS tools - and this beats them hands down! Do yourself a favor and save tons of time and frustration - BUY THIS TOOL
Perfect for use with Amazon Glacier
I use CloudBerry to backup and restore to and from Amazon Glacier and have found it to be a much better and easier solution than the other backup solutions I've used in the past.
Cloudberry Exceptional backup tool
Cloudberry Backup is exceptionally well-designed, highly valuable, and indispensable tool that takes out so much of the headache of having an effective as well as efficient backup tool. The tool is very simple to use, cheap to operate, very reliable, secure and a highly-configurable cloud backup solution.
Set and Forget
I've been using Cloudberry Backup since 2011. It has been the best third party software I've used. After installing and testing, I haven't had to do a thing with it. It runs in the background and does what it needs to do. I also appreciate the flexibility of using a single software package for multiple backup types and destinations.
Using cloudberry backup for a while
I'm using cloudberry backup at home for a while now. It's pretty simple to use, and works flawsless with different cloud storage providers as wel local storage. I have my setup at home connected with Backblaze now. You can also set up to be notified when an backup appears to fail.
