Support is completely unreachable

So I bought an Eldenring cloak which was promoted recently, I couldn't pay the sudden and high import tax due to Trumps Tariffs so it was returned to sender

I reached out asking for a refund as I won't be receiving my order and it has not been worn or even opened since I never received it but after contacting support I got a single automated reply and haven't received any response.

This is not my only problem with the brand, the website essentially doesn't exist other than a "sigh up" menu and even finding the support page was a hassle and there is no way to view my support ticket other than the single email confirming it I received unlike most websites with a dedicated section for viewing your support ticket and listing the message history

Terrible first experience

Placed an order March 9th. 4 different items.

After waiting for over a month I reached out on April 20th and was told my items won't be shipped because they're out of stock. When I ordered on the website they were in stock.

They never reached out to communicate this and they had over a month to do. A bit strange that they left the order on hold and didn't offer me a refund until I asked for one.

Only recieved a partial order

I ordered the Elden Ring cloak and sweat pants, and the SLTE cloak w/ SLTE leggings for my wife for her birthday. I placed the order March 7th being told that please give them 3 weeks to fulfill the order. That was fine, but when i went 3 weeks with no update I reached out to customer support who responded right away, and found my order hasn't left the fulfillment center and would get it shipped ASAP. Literally that same day got an update my order shipped awesome.

My order showed up April 16th and when I opened the packages it was only a partial order with it only being the elden ring collection. The email I got when received shows everything being delivered, but on the shop app it says partially delivered with the rest coming on the 19th. So I wait and still no package. I reach out again via email citing this and still no response kinda feeling ignored, and half my order still partially fulfilled.

If customer service can be more transparent and timely I think a lot of customer disappointment could be avoided. Also changing their shipping from DHL would help as well. It's a bummer Mark is allowing this to happen and spreading himself so thin. I hope this gets better so I can change my review score and have a better review to leave.

UPDATE: I heard back from Cloak today just to be told that my order I placed wasn't being sent because it was out of stock. I don't know why I wasn't told this the 1st time I reached out, but if I didn't they would have just kept my money while I sit in limbo. I can't recommend anybody purchase from this brand until someone comes out to address their poor business practices.

Missing Item

Took over a month to even begin shipping. Then when it finally arrived it was missing the more expensive item, a cloak. The Elden Ring t-shirt that did arrive seems okay quality wise but have not worn yet. When I reached out to customer service they informed me that the cloak that I ordered was out of stock. The (presumably automated/generated) email did not answer my question as to why I was not informed ahead of time that the cloak would not be shipping as part of my order. I shouldn't have to reach out to a company in order to find out something like that, it should be mentioned to the customer as soon as they find out. Besides that, why are they selling items on their website that are out of stock? With the limited releases that they do they should be aware of exactly how many of each item that they have available and turn it to "out-of-stock" when they hit that number. Luckily, I was able to get a refund for the cloak, but is very disappointing to not receive the item that you are expecting and are excited for.

I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED with the two…

I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED with the two times I "tried" buying from Cloak and I can say I WON'T BE AGAIN. The first time I tried buying a sweat shirt and its image's glue or paint soaked through the whole front of the shirt to the point I couldn't even wear it. I thought I'd give them a second chance, my mistake, I tried buying the captain's coat red on Jan. 29th. I got the confirmation from it and I've waited for any email since about it but didn't. I got in touch with the store and find out "oh it was sold out" yet I got no emails telling me otherwise. I'm done trying to support this brand and can easily say I WILL NEVER TELL PEOPLE TO SHOP THE CLOAK BRAND.

The actual cloaks are awesome, but i HAVE noticed a slight change in quality and attention to detail

I've purchased items from CLOAK several times over the years. The quality overall is really high, and I continue to wear or use some items as my go-to options. I bought the regular cloak years ago and used it a lot, then buried it in my closet and forgot about it a couple of years, and rediscovered it when doing some spring cleaning and was thrilled to start wearing it again.

I live in the Midwest where it gets extremely cold and snowy and sleet and ice and all sorts of fun stuff happens, including Sub-Zero Fahrenheit temperatures, and then the weather increases up to over 100 Fahrenheit at other parts of the year. The weather can be very persnickety and it's not uncommon to have it change 70° f in the course of one day or between one day to the next. Because of that I've perfected the art of layering and there are many times of the year where figuring out the correct layers can be a massive pain in the ass if you're working with traditional coats or jackets. A jacket or coat can easily be too cold in the morning and then way too hot by the afternoon or it's good for the weight but it's bad against the wind and etc. I get really annoyed by that and even as someone who likes to layer like mad, there are times I get super frustrated and I just don't want to have to bring 70,000 variations with me just to go on a short walk to a nearby store or something.

That's where I have found the cloak to be a godsend. The original cloak that's basically a big zippered blanket has turned out to be fantastic even in the middle of winter for me. Obviously there are some times where I need to do something more traditional but I've been surprised by how often the cloak is actually better than a traditional snow coat. I would of course wear layers underneath it but generally speaking it tends to stand up well against the wind, and it's warm, but because the bottom and sides are open it allows for breathability that makes all the difference in the inclement weather that can't make up its mind whether it wants to be hot or cold.

The one thing that was frustrating with that regular cloak was that it didn't have any kind of pockets so you didn't have a way of even keeping gloves with it. At one point I just used a safety pin to pin some gloves to it but it was an imperfect solution. The other thing was because it was basically a big circle you put on your head, I did find that when I would lean forward like to put on boots or if I was scraping ice off my car or whatever, it did have an annoying tendency for the front of the cloak to go with gravity and fall straight down in front of me. Which often blocked my access to my shoes or would sometimes get in my way with trying to see or access anything if I was even a little bit leaning forward.

When I saw the Mecha cloak I was very excited because that seemed like it would solve those issues. And I will say it actually does for the most part solve those two problems but then it sort of creates its own problems.

I do love the pockets and I do love the pieces that are sewn on it to let you hook stuff to the cloak itself. I've actually taken to hooking my keys directly onto the cloak because I managed to constantly lose those even a nanosecond after having them in my hand and even if I put them in my purse. So that's actually been helpful, I not only always know where my keys are but they're very accessible cuz I have them hooked on that and it makes it for a quick and easy way to run outside real quick staying warm and not worrying about getting locked out.

But the sides where the arms are is much shorter than the regular cloak which is kind of annoying because I'm pretty short and it doesn't even cover my whole arms so I can only imagine what it would be like on a taller person. I found that the length of it gets annoying with layering with long sleeves or something underneath because the sleeves constantly get caught against the heavier cloth of the cloak and it pulls my sleeves up when I'm moving around.

I also don't recall ever having loose threads or anything on the original cloak but the mecha cloak has multiple loose threads that I've run across both directly out of the box and I've been noticing as I wear and look at it from different angles. It's also not as long I don't think which makes it a little less versatile for me in the different weather. But I do still wear it quite a bit and I get a lot of compliments on it.

I know I'm spending a lot of time talking about very specific products that they make but I think it's relevant because of all the other reviews which are talking about the past versus the present and the quality and other things like that.

I've also found that the delay seems a lot longer before getting the items and I could have sworn I ordered a second item this last time but I'm only seeing one mentioned and one delivered. It's possible I changed my mind last second but seeing the other comments makes me wonder.

Atrocious shipping

I've ordered from Cloak half a dozen times without issue since the beginning. The quality has been good, the price supported ethical production and my favorite creators, shipping was acceptable. But the last two times, my packages have gotten lost. First my Butter Cardigan, which I preordered, then it got shipped late, then it was lost in transit for seven months. Then, a Tactical Glitch order that was supposed to be a birthday present, which got sent to the completely wrong country (???), then attempted returned to sender, then seemingly lost at sea entirely, a four month saga. Cloak seriously needs to switch from DHL, or at least rethink how they do fulfilment. Shipment issues twice in a row could be a coincidence, but it's still unacceptable, especially for the prices they expect you to pay.
At least the customer service rep I was in contact with this last time was very understanding and attempted their best to be helpful. They responded promptly, and tried to work with me to find a reshipment solution when it still seemed possible. And my refund got processed in full each time.

Expected Better

I honestly expected better coming from a company created by Mark. I ordered a hoodie on the 7th of February before the hoodie could even sell out. It is now the 26th and I had to chase them down with three emails over the last few days just to be told that the order was held due to unavailability of the item and that I can get a refund or a store credit. What a great first impression. How do you not communicate with your customers? Just be aware that you may never get what you paid for. Overall disappointing experience.

Genuinely the worst place I’ve ordered

Genuinely the worst place I’ve ordered from. I’m in the UK and I ordered from them months ago and a week before my limited edition Foxy jacket was supposed to be shipped I was emailed saying that they can’t pull through with the order. Don’t bother with this place, it’s not worth it and most of their clothes don’t even look good

So I checked over all my information…

So I checked over all my information before putting through my purchase, it was all correct, it took a bit, and then it said it was out for delivery. I was super excited to receive my items. Then it notified me that it was "mis-shipped". They sent it to the wrong freaking place and then sent it all the way back to Georgia, where i then proceeded to get no information for days, so I reached out for a refund cause this is stupid and pointless and at this rate I dont even want the product anymore! I get told today that the product is being sent to me still, but I still have to wait cause it's all the way in Georgia again. It's stupid, it's a run around, and it's not worth the time and effort. I expected better

Highish quality product. Poorly executed.

The product does seem high quality, however, there are a couple of things that lose my purchase a star. I bought the Mecha Grey Cloak. The product is comfortable and looks really cool. My main issues are that there were a lot of loose threads on the product when it arrived and I had to cut them all off. Furthermore, the zip doesn't feel like the highest of quality and I'm concerned that it will break at some point. So only time will tell in that regard. Finally, shipping costs were quite high at £20 for one garment. That's a little steep in my books. I will give credit where credit is due. Shipping itself was quite fast and this is probably my new favourite piece of clothing that I can look eccentric in. It's a shame about these other elements

Butter cardigen.

I bought the butter cardigen as soon as it came back in stock the beginning of August. In the email I got it said something like 4 to 6 weeks to process and then 11 to 15 days to shop after that. Then it was the end of September and I emailed them for an update, they said yes we have your order sorry for the delay. Another month goes by and I email them again now it's beginning of October, they say oh it will be in tock 11-18th. Cool, wait, I email them yesterday November 1st and they tell me it will be in stock 11-18, wait.. didn't yall tell me that last month? They say oh sorry for the confusion we meant November. I wanted this as a christmas present and thought if I got it in August surely it would be here on time. NOPE, so I asked for a refund. I definitely won't be ordering from them every again which is sad because my boyfriend and I have been a very long time follower of Mark and wanted to support him I other ways then just youtube.

Cloak's practices have become shady

I was a supporter of Cloak from the very beginning back in 2018, however in the past year or so things have changed. In the beginning we were promised that the brand would be accessible and that prices would become more affordable. Yet prices have only gone up. We were promised high quality, yet quality of items in the past year has been unreliable at best. We have been told that everything has been ethically sourced and made, yet they provide no proof of these claims. And it's only been revealed recently that one of the founders left the company over a year ago; Considering most of cloaks fan base are here to support the two founders, this is something that should have been disclosed much sooner.

They've also gone from dropping a new collection once every month or two to dropping a new collection every week. Making it feel like fast fashion with a higher price tag(especially since they haven't backed their ethically made claims)

On top of all these concerns, their social media team has been deleting and hiding comments of any criticism people have of the company.

All of this is extremely upsetting to see from a long time supporter who has made many purchases from them over the years. Until these issues are addressed and fixed by the company, they have lost my support

Very stressful

I preordered the fnaf 10 year anniversary shirts. I waited 4 weeks to email when they were gonna ship them out, they said by the end of the week. They still hadn’t shipped them out after 2 weeks so I emailed again. And they said they were out of stock?? I preordered them??? Very sad cause I’ve been looking forward to ordering these shirts ever since they were revealed. Customer service barely answered my question as to why they were out of stock and couldn’t even reach out to me instead of waiting for me to. First and last time ever ordering from cloak.

Long time listener, last time buyer.

I have been ordering from Cloak for a few years now, I have 3 shirts, 2 hoodies, 2 pairs of leggings, and 2 cloaks (one I bought for someone else) I took a long hiatus because I simply was not interested in any of the releases, I have NEVER had a delay in shipping, the longest wait I've had was maybe 4 weeks. Recently I decided to purchase a Butter cardigan, I am devastated. The cardigan is advertised as being their softest piece of clothing but I must say it is not nearly as soft as the cloak material or the hoodie material, it is actually a little bit rough like a towel, and it has tons and tons of loose string ends and the pieces of other colored threads. I have decided to keep it because it has a very "Jedi" aesthetic and that was really why I wanted it, but I am sad to say it was not worth the price comparatively to my other items. My shirts all hold up well, I wear the leggings ALL THE TIME and aside from the lettering peeling a bit they show no signs of wearing out, my cloak is in good condition, but one of my hoodies has a tear in the arm pit from first wear and it is impossible to get on or off without a fight, even forcing me to take off my glasses or slingshot them across the room.
Unfortunately with the way things are going for Cloak, I don't expect to be purchasing for a while. Would be nice if Mark could make a statement on his channel about the issues that have been called out on social media, but idk if he is even a part of the business anymore.

I’ve been ordering Cloak since the company first began. My closet is full of various drops through the years. I recently pre-ordered the FNAF jacket for the November drop and cannot wait to receive it!

Nothing impressive. Never ending emails.

Quality is ok. Very overpriced.
NEVER subscribe to their emails, I have unsubscribed 5 times now and they keep sending me emails. I have blocked the company and am writing this review so they stop being so aggressive with their marketing and start respecting their clients choices.

high price, low quality

As a long time supporter of Markiplier I was so excited when the brand first launch. I made many purchases but was always upset with the price versus quality. I wanted to support the creator its from, so I just hoped quality with new drops would improve. Not only that, but the delivery time is insane!! The last time I ordered a mystery box it was 1) a month late and 2)two DAMAGED cloaks. One was missing half the velcro and the other had a ripped seam in the front pocket. I’m upset, and at this point have completely given up. Do not recommend; if you like the guy, just watch his channel. Don’t bother with his “company”.

Cloak used to be good but it's horrible now

I used to like Cloak back when it was first set up and the quality was great. Nowadays though it is terrible quality. Also if you look at a product you will get 3 or 4 emails over the next few days pressuring you to buy that item, even if it's out of stock! And now apparently unsubcribing to them doesn't work, they still send you emails out despite you asking them not to. Do not waste your time and money, I love jacksepticeye and markiplier but I will not support them with this.

Shocking Quality

I'm not even joking here, I opened the package to find a jacket that was worse quality than a $5 jacket I got on Shein a few years ago. Almost the same cut, same paper thin material, about the only difference was that the Cloak one had a bunch of loose threads and was unraveling. Completely stunned me to be honest.
