I ordered a callaway wedge over the phone for my wife with staff member Joe at their St Helens branch but the wrong wedge arrived. Joe stated that it was the fault of callaway and as I had previously ordered a number of items from them, they would send out a temporary wedge for my wife to use as there was a long delay in the correct product being delivered. He stated that when the correct wedge was available they would get the courier to collect the temporary wedge and deliver the correct wedge at the same time. All conversations being recorded as standard on a works phone. Anyway Joe contacts us to say the correct wedge is now in stock but he wants us to send the temporary wedge back before he will deliver the correct item. So he has changed what was agreed, we haven't used the temporary wedge because it isn't what we ordered, it is still in a brand new condition, just with the wrapping removed. What is important here and why CUSTOMERS NEED TO BE AWARE is that this company and this employee have gone back on what was agreed. They have delivered the wrong item, so why should i have to waste more time and effort to get the right outcome. How can I trust them, they got the order wrong not me, it was convenient of them to blame Callaway, very very unprofessional.

The trousers I ordered were too long. I returned them and within days a new shorter length pair arrived .Many thanks to Owen who phoned me to let me know about the exchange and when I could expect the replacement order. Customer service was excellent .Thank You

I ordered the wrong size item, so I got in touch with them asked would it be possible for them to change to the correct size before it was sent out sure enough they changed it for me. Would highly Clarke’s Golf and will be using them again.

Ordered a pair of shoes online after 6 months shoes failed feared the worst but emailed them .Instant reply return arranged and prompt replacement sorted .
Great service will now be using Clarke’s golf exclusively for online golf purchases

Had a fitting with Andy from the shop who had great knowledge of all the clubs and pointed me straight towards the best clubs for my swing and explained all the numbers trackman provided. They then got the clubs rushed through production as quickly as they could to be in time for my golfing trip. They went even further and had a member of staff called Owen to fit the grips staying over his normal time to fit them perfectly. Great service by the entire team! 100% recommend

I RECEIVED A POLITE AND FIRST-CLASS SERVICE FROM OWEN WHO'S COMMUNICATION WAS EXEMPLARY. Second fitting with Andy, following on from a fit for new driver. What a super experience from start to finish. Andy is highly experienced and puts you at ease from the start. Am delighted with my new set of Pings that I settled on, perfectly suited to me and my game, and I can't wait for them to arrive. My priority was getting the right fit for me, and the fantastic value was the icing on the cake. You'll find Clarke's hard to beat on both service and price.

I had a club fitting today at Clarke’s Golf Centre in Rainford. What a fantastic experience. Ive been golfing for many years and have knowledge of the equipment as I follow the game closely. The member of staff, Kevin, was excellent in all aspects of the fitting. He was very honest, telling me good and bad things about my game. The outcome was different to what I expected but in a good way. The use of Trackman gave me all the data and info that I needed to make my choice of irons. I would highly recommend this experience to any golfer who’s looking to improve their game.

Today I visited Clarke’s and bought a new set of irons, 5 wood, Gap Wedge and a putter. I was greeted by one of the staff members called Kieran. He gave some 1st class advice. His product knowledge was brilliant and he was very friendly indeed. Kieran is a great asset to Clarke’s. The store is well stocked and a pleasure to shop there. I would 100% recommended anyone to visit there. 1st class experience.

This company deserves 10 ⭐. I ordered something for a present, I got it wrong. I phoned Clarkes and they couldn't be more helpful. The guy I spoke to was so nice, polite and understanding. The item I bought is on it's way back, they will then send out the item I need.

Wanted a Powakaddy Trolley for collection. Spoke via the phone to a wonderful member of the team Sue. Knew exactly what I wanted and fulfilled the order immediately for collection. Fantastic service, highly recommended!!!! A*

Needed a pair of golf shoes for Monday, I was ordering on the Friday around 3pm which is after the cut off for Saturday delivery. I phoned and spoke to a really helpful team member who once I had ordered, made sure my shoes went on the Saturday run.
Parcel delivered Saturday afternoon. Great service and great product, would highly recommend.

Returned my Ecco Biom 2 GTX golf shoes with sole breaking away in the toe area on both pairs. Quick positive response from Sue who arranged a full credit. Will definitely buy from them again. Great service, thanks.

Bought some new but older model clubs online. 5-pw. Paid extra to get quick delivery as wanted to use them a couple of days later.

They arrived but half the clubs were missing. Rang them and sent an email with what was delivered.

They believe the issue was with the delivery company but offered either a replacement set, but with different shaft stiffness or wait for ping to send replacements. I asked how long that would be and he said he would need to speak to them but would find out quickly. I asked him to ring me back which was expected to be that day so I could make a decision.

I heard nothing and so contacted them but no response that day. They rang the next day and as it wasn’t so clear when ping would be able to replace I decided to go for the stiff shaft set.

They arranged collection and re delivery which was good and offered a box of balls in compensation which I accepted.

The new clubs came and were all there. The box of balls offered was nowhere to be seen. I contacted them again and made them aware of that but heard nothing back.

So overall a bit of a mess. I have spent hundreds of pounds and ended up with some clubs in a spec I didn’t ideally want, I got them later than the extra I paid for and the compensation promised never materialised.

If I take on face value the delivery issue to be out of their control. The lack of responsiveness and not following through on the offer of compensation was still pretty disappointing. In hindsight I should probably have cut my losses at the start and got a refund.

Update - as a consequence of this review Clarke’s have been in touch, apologised and sent both the balls and refunded my express delivery cost, which is appreciated.

Ordered some new shoes and they were delivered within 48hrs.... top service
