We had a wonderful trip with our two children (8 and 11) through Charlies Travels. We drove ourselves, sat on the back of a motorcycle, accompanied by a ranger, took the train and took the plane. It was a very varied trip where we saw and experienced so many beautiful things. The help along the way from Charlies Travels was very good. We could always ask a question along the way and they responded very quickly.

From the start it was great working together with Charlie's Travel. They listened very good to all our wishes and were flexible in adjusting the travel plans. Once we were in Kenya it was really nice to have direct contact with your agent at Charlie. This made the trip very relaxing and a great experience.

We have been in Kenya for almost four weeks in July/August 2024. We, this is our two kids (13, 16) and their parents, all from Germany.
From the first contact in November/December 2023 till the last goodbye, we always felt like we were planning and doing a journey with friends.
Although it was our first trip to (east) Africa and the first Safari at all, we never had any doubts about anything would not work like planned.
The journey went from Nairobi via Lake Naivasha, Suswa, Loita Hills, Masai Mara to Amboseli, Mombasa and Watamu at the Indian Ocean.
Wherever we had been and whatever transportation vehicle we used, everything worked out perfectly and our expectations were exceeded.

We had a very nice holiday with Charlie’s in Tanzania. It was really of the beaten track, as we wanted it. Perfectly organised. Beautiful people, nice excursions, I want to go back!

We had a wonderful family trip in Uganda, arranged by Charlie’s Travel. The hick ups at the start of the trip were well managed by the team after escalation. The program was varied and in line with our expectations. Most accommodations were really nice! The female guide that accompanied us as driver during 12 days was very knowledgeable and experienced to ensure we found all the best spots during the game drives!

Unsere Reise nach Kenia mit Charlie's Travels war einfach unvergesslich. Mein Vater, meine Schwester und ich erlebten eine perfekt organisierte Rundreise voller großartiger Angebote und unvergesslicher Erlebnisse.

Von atemberaubenden Safaris bis hin zu beeindruckenden kulturellen Begegnungen – alles war bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht. Unsere Fahrer und Reiseleiter vor Ort waren kompetent und freundlich, und die Unterkünfte hervorragend gewählt.

Afwisselend programma, genoten van de prachtige natuur, prachtige lodges met vaak een eigen moestuin waarmee de heerlijkste gerechten werden bereid. Chauffeurs altijd op tijd, snel contact met organisatie. Het was fantastisch.

Married for 50 years and then booking a trip to South Africa. The trip that we have wanted to do for years.

Reis Zuid-Afrika
Charlie’s Travels is een uitstekende reisorganisatie.
We hebben samen met Anna en Lauren onze reis op een interactieve wijze samengesteld. Er werd goed meegedacht en kwamen met goede adviezen. Op al onze wensen werd adequaat, snel en creatief gereageerd. Zoals het regelen van ‘privat transfers’ omdat we liever niet zelf wilden rijden met een huurauto en bij late aankomst op airport was een locale simkaart geregeld. Dit is ons zeer goed bevallen!
Ook konden we gedurende onze reis bij vragen of calamiteiten altijd een beroep doen op Anna en Lauren en gedurende de reis namen ze regelmatig contact met ons op om te vragen hoe het met ons ging.
De accommodaties zijn met zorg geselecteerd en waren van uitstekende kwaliteit en de service van hoog niveau. Wat ons ook aansprak was hun policy om veelal zaken te doen met lokale ondernemers.

Kortom …. een reis om nooit meer te vergeten!

The adventure that Charlies organized for us in Tanzania was exactly in line with our expectations. A good mix of wildlife through safaris in combination with experiences with local people and local organisations was great. We wanted the revenues of journey to land as much as possible with local people, and that is how it was done. The local drivers and guides were amazing! Almost everything went smooth.

We had a nice trip to Tanzania last januari/februari. In advance we had good communication about our trip and put together the hole trip. We climed the kilimanjaro what was e very nice experience. After we did some safari's and local activities. We really liked our motorsafari, homestay and visit to the maasai. I think Charlies Travel is quite unique in these activities that they want to support the locals and you don't get back very touristic activities but more honest experiences from the local people.
We choose to not go to the bigger safariparks, but we did regret that afterwards because we defenitely saw less animals than we you go to the crowded parks. We ended up in Zanzibar what the perfect end was of our trip. If you want a bit more off the grid and pure experiences charlies travel is a very good option.

We had an amazing trip in South Africa thanks to Charlie's Travels. Before departure, they asked us about our wishes and tweaked the itinerary so that it fit our exact wishes. From there, the entire trip was smooth sailing; hotels, trips, everything we needed had been taken care of. The few times we did have questions or concerns, Susan and Stephanie were there 24/7 to meet all of our needs. Last but not least, the contact was very personal -- it was as having Charlie's angels watching over us, from a distance, while we climbed mountains, chased leopards and drank wine in Stellenbosch. Could not recommend them more highly!

We had the best experience thanks to Charlies Travels! They helped us put together our trip and recorded everything for us. We only had to book the international flight ourselves and the rest was done by Charlies Travels. The program was well put together, we were very happy with the variety of our trip and the people from Charlies Travels guided us very well during the trip. Thank you for your good care! De reis was lekker avontuurlijk, we hadden wat auto pech 2x maar ook dit is netjes opgelost.We hebben een andere auto gekregen , waar we ons avontuur mee konden voortzetten.
Verder was alles oké geregeld er zijn nog wel wat verbeter punten en dat is vooral de communicatie met de Host van Charlie's travel maar later naar een dag of 6 ging dat een stuk beter.
Al met al echt een geweldige reis gehad met dank aan Seba hij heeft het allemaal netjes opgelost.

Aus einer spontanen Idee heraus kontaktierte ich ca 10 verschiedene Reiseveranstalter spezialisiert auf Reisen nach Afrika mit Kindern, um mit meinem 3-jährigen Sohn allein zu reisen. Während 9 davon mir absolut abrieten und mir immer wieder gesagt wurde, dass meine Vorstellungen unbezahlbar wären, war Susi die einzige, die mir wirklich zuhörte und exakt das anbot, was ich mir vorgestellt hatte, zudem alles zigmal wieder und wieder anpasste. Was für eine tolle Beratung und soviel mehr als ich mir jemals erhofft hätte! Jetzt geht es tatsächlich nach Kenia, danke für alles, ihr habt das unmögliche möglich gemacht!

We made a wonderful trip through Uganda that was arranged by Charlie’s Travel. They set up the whole trip and gave us an unforgettable experience. Not only they they book the best places but they also gave support and helped us in every way. When we go to Afrika again I will definitely contact them.

Charlies travels helped us curate the trip of our life. During our sabbatical we made a roundtrip through Botswana and Namibia and everything was amazing. From unique experiences to a very short communication line with Anna and Susan regarding any questions we had during the trip. Thanks so much!
