This is my third review regarding Chancellor (Stanmore), and unfortunately the situation remains unresolved.
It has now been over 6 months since I vacated the property, and I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned. Despite multiple follow-ups, the agency has not been helpful in progressing this matter.
I have been informed that nothing can be done without both parties agreeing, which is misleading. There are formal dispute processes available through tenancy deposit schemes, yet I have not been properly guided or supported on this.
What is particularly concerning is that the landlord is only now raising disputes after 6 months, even though I have an inventory report that does not support these claims. Despite this, no one at the agency has taken responsibility or provided meaningful assistance.
The lack of communication, delays, and overall handling of this case have caused significant stress. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this branch.
I hope this matter is resolved soon, but based on my experience so far, the service has been very disappointing.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Sean during my rental property search, and I can honestly say he was one of the only estate agents in the local area who consistently stayed in touch and genuinely tried to help me find the right place.

Although I didn’t end up finding a property through him in the end, his level of service and professionalism stood out. He was responsive, and really listened to what I was looking for — qualities that unfortunately seem rare in the industry.
