On first, second, third, or fourth contact, they may appears to be lazy and incompetent. However, beyond this facade lies a practical joke of genius.

The formula?
Deceptively simple!

1. Put a different contact phone number for every accommodation you advertise on the web.
2. No matter which number a prospective customer calls, tell them they have "come through to the wrong department". Offer to pass a message on to the correct department and have this department them back.
3. this is crucial - NEVER CALL THEM BACK.

Optional: the joke can be improved a notch by calling back several weeks after the customer's accommodation search has ended.

The brilliance and subtlety of this joke lies in the unapologetic presentation of this circus as a legitimate and functioning business.

They definitely caught me out a few times. I did eventually turn to a functioning estate agency to help me with my accommodation search, which has ended in success.

However, I wish these merry japesters and their clown management success in their continuing prank endeavours.

Invited Chancellors for a valuation of my flat to rent. They quoted lower income and higher fees than other estate agents and were generally less professional in their approach so I decided to go with another company. When I emailed to inform them they tried to ring me and left a voicemail trying to convince me to change my mind. I phoned them back to explain how unprofessional this was and the phone rang out without even a chance to leave a voicemail- another red flag! Since then they have contacted me on numerous occasions with 'interested clients' despite me asking on multiple occasions (both over the phone and verbally) to remove my contact details from their database. I don't appreciate these under hand tactics and their lack of respect.

The staff at Slough were very helpfull in particular Goerge who is efficent polite and a good communicator his staff sanam also helpful . Thankyou and would reccomend this company.

It has been a great pleasure working with Sannah and George. As a first time buyer, it was scary to start looking for a property. They both put me at ease and made the whole process smooth. I would highly recommend Chancellors to anyone looking.

George Rai - as a branch manager has remained professional throughout my time dealing with the slough branch. He was quick with responding to emails back and fourth between ourselves and the seller. We had a few issues that we came across but he helped guide us and made sure we were looked after. Very bad experience with chancellor I was chasing very time no response no call back very very slow not trustable because they don’t have good communication skill very bad experience if you looking good , reliable, trustable agent please don’t choose chancellor you will more stressful mental and physical . I have recently found tenants for my property and Maya Evans processed and managed whole process as well as communication in an excellent way that both landlord and tenants made happy.

George at Chancellors made our 1st home purchase a dream come true, we saw the property online and enquired. George got back in touch right away and bent over backwards to accommodate a last minute booking even that being a late afternoon/evening one. Once we made the offer he was very good at communicating with us and keeping us up to date as he knew we were very excited. Never been a time where we have not been able to get through to him or he has not come back to us. I have tried to enquire about other properties with other agents and honestly George was by far the best, he is a credit to Chancellors and I hope his hard work goes recognized. Very nice company. They are very helpful and they make sure you going to be satisfy with your requirement. Sannah was showing us the property which we like and she show us around very well. She asked some question which very very useful and she really there for us. The agent George on the phone was very helpful as well. Hopefully the sale will be smooth with all the requirement.
