As an experienced landlord and currently in the market for a property to add to my portfolio, your company experience was above the rest on my recent experience of viewing other properties currently in the market.

My brother and sister in law were really looking forwards to a viewing in reading at 10:30 on the 27th of Jan 2024 (which is today). Alice and Naomi were the estate agents they'd been communicating with. They were very excited because they are looking for their first house to buy as a couple. However, due to severe train delays and cancellations my brother and his wife were put on a rail replacement bus to reading which meant that they were going to be late. This is obviously something out of their control and they were really stressed because of this. They contacted Alice and Naomi to keep them informed and initially Naomi was happy to meet with them despite the slight delay. However, Alice rang them a few minutes later to say and I quote "we expect punctuality" and to inform that they have other commitments after which she cancelled the viewing. My brother left for reading early in the morning, because he lives in London, just so he could make it on time for the viewing (Alice and Naomi were informed , in prior conversations, that public transport was going to be used). The train network has been unreliable for over a year now so the least they could do is to show some understanding. They've had to make a long journey, be put on a bus to reading only to be half way told that the viewing is cancelled!. Alice/Naomi, I get that you are a salesperson and you probably have a target to meet, but where is the human side of you? Why are you so rude? The name/reputation of this company depends on employees such as yourself. Therefore, please wake up and start treating your clients with some respect for God's sake! Sales targets aside, your clients are human beings and deserve the same decency you deserve if and when you are in need of help/kindness/understanding.

Catherine has been so helpful and friendly throughout this process. Really made time for us and has been a great help as first time buyers who have limited knowledge on buying a house.

Ella was professional and showed us around the property and gave us all the information as we passed each room. She thoroughly explained us about the availability and answered other queries that we had .

I have decided to withdraw my 5 star review as after repeatedly asking for the property to be provided in a clean condition, by my wife and myself, after passing all the referencing, after paying £3900, as a father of 3 kids including a 7 month old baby, Dean from Reading branch has withheld my keys illegally in breach of contract and blackmailed me for protesting why the property had electrical waste and filth.

Fabulous switched on person showed us round (Ella, Reading) but seemed a lot at £1200 per month when you think a 2 bed property in that same building yields rental income of £1400?

I recently attended a viewing for a rental property, and overall, it was a positive experience. The location was convenient, and the neighborhood seemed safe. The property itself was well-maintained, with sufficient space.

The real estate agent ( Ella) was knowledgeable, providing detailed information about the property and answering all my questions.

Seem to be complete jokes. I phoned the Reading branch up about a property advertised on rightmove. They said it wasn’t for sale but would contact me about any other similar properties. But they didn’t even take my contact details!

That was about 2 months ago. I emailed them through rightmove this week about another Reading property they had for sale and they didn’t even get back to me.

Great service and support from Ella and the Team at Chancellors Reading. They walked me through every stage of the process with ease.

They are extremely poor with responding to clients and very difficult to get in touch with once in any form of communication.

I have been using Chancellors for around a decade and owing to a re-structure I was left without a Property Manager for what seems a very long time. Since Olivia Villafane was appointed as my Property Manager earlier this month the communication and support has improved in the past month or so.
