Jodie at Chancellors Ascot has been great with organising my lettings agreement, the entire process has been very simple and stress-free, & she has been available to quickly answer any questions for me.

I recently had a very horrific experience with Chancellors during the rental application process.

After being selected as the next tenant for a property (the first tenants offer had apparently fallen through), I waited over a week without any updates. Then, just five days before my move-in date, I was bombarded with emails requesting various forms and third-party applications. I had already completed a long document providing landlord references and other details and provided a copy of my passport.

Three days before my move, I was told I couldn't proceed unless I signed up for the Letting Hub, a platform I had expressed concerns about due to its extremely intrusive nature. I had already offered six months' rent in advance and provided all necessary references, to negate this requirement.

After further discussions, I was informed that the landlords now wanted 12 months' rent upfront due to my supposed unwillingness to provide references, which was completely false. I was happy to provide references and had done so. I suspect that this was not really the case.

Feeling pressured into a much larger deposit of many thousands of pounds, I initially refused but later counter-offered with nine months' rent in advance. Despite this, I received no response for three days except for automated emails requesting that I sign a host of documents and that my moving in date was imminent. Clearly a mistake.

Finally, one day before my move, Mr. Hazem Roushdy called me back to inform me that I couldn't proceed without using the Letting Hub. He also claimed the previous offer of 12 months' rent without the Letting Hub was never an option (I received this offer by email).

The lack of transparency, professionalism, and constant changes in requirements throughout this process have caused me significant inconvenience and distress. I am now left without a place to live on the eve of my move.

I strongly urge anyone considering using Chancellors' services to be extremely cautious.

The reply from Chancellors below was nonsense. They simply told me that they uphold their decision! Clearly a reply to appease Trustpilot only.

I tried to sell my property - without much luck! We put it down to market uncertainty and decided to postpone! When we asked Chancellors to switch from Sell to Rent - they stepped-up with alacrity. In days we had a succession of quality candidates! The feedback was its class - so we tweaked the price. In days we had a 5* bidder. The Chancellors did an excellent job of promoting the property and a most effective presence at viewings! Now the paperwork is being efficiently collated and we are packing! Chancellors Rental Team deserve top marks!

Cam was extremely helpful and thoughtful to-day whilst showing me around Grand Regency Heights

I have been dealing with Cameron via the telephone yesterday and at a property viewing today.
Cameron has been incredibly professional, reassuring and very proactive in arranging a viewing for me so quickly after my online enquiry and her calling me back so quickly yesterday.
The process of renting a property has been explained very clearly.
Cameron was extremely courteous and understanding of my needs.
I would highly recommend anyone that wants to rent through Chancellors to ask for Cameron. She listened to what I needed and answered all the questions I had.

We decided to move to another area so did not find a property through Chancellors but throughout the contact with Chancellors they were regularly in contact, sending new properties and deserve to be credited with a professional approach and high standard of customer hallmarks

I certainly could not recommend Chancellors Ascot branch having recently sold a house through them. I did not feel I was treated like a valued customer at any stage of the process. There was a lack of communication with us and within their team, ignoring our wishes despite being told how important they were. Inefficient service from the outset, which only improved when i complained to head office. I feel we only managed to sell the house due to luck and after accepting a low offer, not through any effort on their part. On top of that the fee was eye wateringly high considering they provided such a poor service.

Throughout our process of finding a home Jada has been fantastic. Always there if we had questions or needed guidance and we are delighted with the place we will soon call home! Amazing stuff!
