I recently viewed a property with Cerian and it was a lovely experience.

She patiently listened to my enquiries (even though it was freezing 🥶 as we stood outside the property) and provided helpful information about the property.

Though there were some issues with deposit payments, Jemma was really resourceful and quickly helped me with my query.

Jana was fantastic at helping during a tricky situation and kept me in the loop at all times!

George was great and informative from before we viewed the property to after we sent our application. We are waiting to hear back from the Landlord now but George helped us understand the process and what to expect. Great guy, give him a raise!

Friendly, helpful and very understanding when I got stuck in traffic which made me late. Did not feel pressured at all either which isn’t always the case with estate agents.

Megan was really helpful, lots of updates and support selling our house.

Amy is always cheerful, helpful and kind . She also always does what she says she’ll do .

Amy Farquhar has been prompt and responsive to handling the queries that I have had regarding the management of my property. I appreciate dealing with one person who is aware of all the issues, rather than lots of different people trying to help, but not really understanding the details.

Cerian was very pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful and professional ,in showing us around a property we viewed today. She answered all of our questions and returned our calls in a timely fashion when we called. We felt totally at ease with her.

I am currently a buyer of property through Chancellors in Abingdon, and I have to say that the service I have received throughout the process has been excellent!
They are always quick to respond to any queries, and Cerian, who is handling our case has been brilliant - on top of the purchase from day one, making sure everything is in place and updating me daily.
The whole team are always extremely polite and patient, and even though the property I am buying will be one of the smaller purchases on their books, I am always made to feel that I am an important and valued customer. If you are looking to buy or sell your property, then I can personally vouch that you would be in safe hands with Chancellors.

Cerían was very quick to identify 4 potential properties and show us round. All communication was easy and complete with details for us to assess. The properties were according to our budgets and requirements as far as was possible. She was very pleasant and addressed our queries well.

Communication is extremely poor. Different members of staff have different ideas about what's going on and advise in different ways. Communication between the lettings hub and chancellors is also appalling. We ran into issues and every member of staff pointed us in different directions. Additionally, they only started chasing up references on the day we were supposed to be collecting keys. We were called constantly about emails that had apparently been sent that hadn't, the lettings hub were constantly trying to sell me insurance over the phone but weren't able to explain the policy in depth or send me a written copy. When I became very stressed as I was due to start a new job and still hadn't been able to move into the new place, I called to seek clarification and was accused by Chancellor's of being "shirty" with them. I was appalled by the experience. I kept thinking in my head that their main objective was to please the landlord and not the tenant, but after being put in touch with my landlord I was also made aware of huge numbers of issues on their side as well and they told me not to worry going forward as they will never be using chancellors again.

So much of the service experience is offloaded by Chancellors to third party organizations, presumably to reduce their culpability. These organizations are extremely poor at communicating and are incapable of addressing any concern that isn't a textbook application.

I would suggest that people stay away from using chancellors if at all possible. They will out effort into anything that gets them their commission but evidently have no interest in communicating with or maintaining any positive relationship with either tenants or landlords.

Staff act fast to respond emails. They are professional, polite, helpful and patient to non-native English speaker.

Being a new comer to UK, we know nothing about the Lettings process. Thomas did send us the detailed procedures and help us to setup the property passport. George help us on the ID proof and right to rent, also answered our questions and concerns patiently.

Since the landlord signed the agreement only two days before the day we move in, we were really stressed and worried. We wonder why the agreement cannot be completed, which we signed 2 months ago, and today yet still don't understand why. Thankfully George kept answering our update requests and gave us confidence that everything should go smooth when we landed.

Before we move in, the reminder from Thomas honestly told us they were unable to complete a fire and furnishings test on the property, thus remind us to check carbon monoxide detectors are working.

Finally, we moved in smoothly and received all the keys and documents supposed to be. I would recommend this company to my friend if they need.
